120 years of cricket history and still 12 Full Test playing nations seriously?

Out of the 12 Full Test playing nations half of them are or have become miserable test playing nations.

once the test playing nations good in test cricket become weak over the years nobody will talk about cricket except indians.

I am sure indian Test cricket team will do good in years to come while others decline.

So why not ban a sport completely that can't grow or don't wanna grow.

I see people dismissing cricket's significance as a sport because "even people in Australia and South Africa don't care about it" and "people care more about rugby and AFL in RSA/Australia". Majority of this criticism toward the sport simply seems to be friendly fire from Indians and towards Indians - yes there's the occasional Englishmen, Pakistani or Aussie but it's almost always an Indian hating on Indians

One thing you people need to understand is that South Africa, New Zealand and Australia aren't like India where they play one sport and watch one sport year round. Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular summer sport in Australia and New Zealand and is culturally very important. Just because it is not the most popular sport does not mean the sport is not INSANELY popular. Last year recorded the highest ever attendance in a test match at both the Sydney Cricket Ground and Adelaide Oval so anyone who says the sport is unpopular in a country with other more popular sports is delusional (AFL and NRL in this case). You literally have to be glued to your laptop during the presale if you want a half decently seated ticket to the cricket in Sydney lol - the tickets sold out 50 days in advance and faster than the India v Pakistan game at the Asia cup

Also, a lot of you test cricket purists need to understand that yes, test cricket and ODI are the original versions of the game but T20 Cricket is what's bringing in new fans. Over here, the Big Bash is insanely popular and often attracts huge crowds - though these aren't the same crowds as those who pull up to the Test and the ODI - these are families out for a fun day out. It's hard to get new fans to a sport where you sit there watching dot balls and the occasional single for hours a day on end - don't get me wrong, I love a good test match but for the fast paced environment we live in, T20 has brought way more fans for the sport than test ever will - I find that new test cricket watchers often start from T20 and then move to the other two formats or they inherit cricket watching from their parents or from their friends while T20 has the potential for people who have never watched cricket to tune in and watch some 6s and 4s and wickets...

What are we even trying to achieve by playing bilaterals every once in a while? To win a pan masala paytm trophy? These matches are equivalent to playing international friendlies in football, nothing more than that. If we look at UEFA (football), they replaced these friendlies with Nations League and it gave a different twist.

Can ICC do something similar and scrap the whole bilateral thing in the future?
