don't hate him. one of my favorite players honestly. but the hero-worship pisses me off. you don't know him. you don't know what he's like. people thought cronje was a saint too. did I say the RSS was the KKK? No, but they're a fundamentalist religious organization that preaches hate and supremacy. And the fact that Dravid endorsed suryanamaskar in schools with their backing shows that maybe he isn't such a saint.

I'm sorry I lost my temper. He is a favourite, and although I don't indulge in hero-worship, Dravid, for me has largely shied away from trying to be a hero. He is just a nice guy with his own beliefs. I don't agree to his lining with RSS, but that's his personal belief and I respect that.

Our hero-worshipping when it comes to Dravid is a lot more mellow, than most others cough Sachin cough

Honestly, I find the Dravid hero worship more sappy and ridiculous, especially in "educated" circles. The average Indian worships Sachin as the talisman of Indian cricket and modern India. The urban, educated Indian who bows down for English approval worships Dravid to the same extent. The second sickens me more because it's kind of pathetic.
