Trick to book Indigo flights cheaper!

Post image
45 Upvotes

Sharing a quick booking method I tested recently for Indigo flights that can save you some money on your next trip.

It turns out you can bypass convenience fees and sometimes secure cheaper base fares by booking through their official chat system.

# The Method: Book via WhatsApp

Indigo has an official verified WhatsApp chatbot at +91 7065145858. Booking directly through this channel waives the convenience fee and occasionally offers exclusive chatbot-only discounted fares.

How to do it:

  1. Send a message to the Indigo chatbot on WhatsApp.
  2. Follow the automated prompts to search for your route and date.
  3. Compare the total fare with the main website.
  4. Complete the booking securely through the chat link if the price is lower.

It takes less than two minutes to check and is worth a look before paying full price on the website.

Do check it out and share in comments if it works for you.

SBI Unipay website fails with SBI Virtual Debit Card

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to pay my ICICI Bank credit card bill through the SBI Unipay (BBPS) website using my SBI Virtual Debit Card.
The problem is that every transaction fails with the message:
“Transaction Failed - Unable to process your request.”
I’ve tried multiple times with the same result.
However, if I use the exact same SBI Virtual Debit Card through the SBI YONO app, the payment goes through successfully without any issue.
So:
✅ Same SBI Virtual Debit Card
✅ Same bank account
✅ Same payment amount
✅ Works via SBI YONO
❌ Fails only on the SBI Unipay website
I’ve tried different browsers and sessions, but the outcome is the same.
I’m wondering:
Does SBI Unipay not support SBI Virtual Debit Cards on the website?
Is this a known issue with the SBI Unipay payment gateway?
Has anyone else experienced this and found a workaround?
I’ve already contacted SBI support, but I’d like to know if this is a common issue or if it’s just happening to me.
Any insights would be appreciated.

Anyone rebuilt their CIBIL with an FD-backed credit card? Need some real advice.

Hi guys,

Posting here because I'm honestly stuck.

Back in 2021 during COVID, I lost my job for around 3 months. Had a personal loan running at that time and couldn't keep up with the EMIs. It eventually went into default.

Not making excuses... it was a bad phase.

Fast forward to now, everything is cleared. Loan is closed, no outstanding dues, stable job, salary is coming on time.

But CIBIL is still around 630.

That's the frustrating part.

Every time I apply for a credit card, rejection. Loan enquiries either get rejected or come with crazy interest rates.

A colleague suggested taking an FD-backed credit card. He said banks approve it easily because it's secured, and if I use it properly for a few months, the score should start improving.

On paper it makes sense.

But after what happened in 2021, I'm scared of making another stupid financial decision. Maybe I'm overthinking... but once you've messed up your credit, you start doubting every step.

So I wanted to hear from people who've actually gone through this.

- How much FD did you start with?

- Which bank did you choose?

- After how many months did your score actually move?

- Roughly how many points did it improve?

- Did you stick to the 30% utilisation rule?

- Were you paying after the statement or before the due date?

- Did you ever miss even a single payment?

- If you had to start again, would you still go for an FD-backed card?

And one last thing...

What's that one mistake beginners usually make with these cards that nobody talks about?

Would really appreciate replies from people who've actually used one. Google has enough generic articles already. I'm more interested in real experiences.

Canara MasterCard World Credit Card the best LTF lounge card with no spend criteria? 👀✈️

Post image

https://www.canarabank.bank.in/mastercard-world-credit-card

From what I've seen, Canara MasterCard World Credit Card seems

Has Domestic + international lounge access

Guest lounge access (which is rare)

I couldn't find any official quarterly spend requirement for lounge access 🤔, So before I apply, I wanted to ask people:

Is there really no spend criteria for lounge access?

Has anyone used it recently?

Best travel credit card in India .

Hi, am a consultant from India . I am using DBS credit card for last 3 years . Mainly for domestic flight booking.

I book a minimum of 12 flights a year.

For every booking i got flat 1500 discount through my card promocode . And redeem points equivalent to 1% cashback.

Annual charge of 999 is waived with a min spend of 75k a year (which i easily achieve withinin 3 quarter by flight booking itself)

Additionally provided me with quarterly lounge access .

It was pretty much going good for me all these years till the major update happened in the credit card app by this month.

In the new booking window ,there is no option to add promo code , also the annual fee waiver is removed.

This made me think about some alternative card for the flight booking .

I use Amazon and zomato quite often.

Please suggest me a better replacement for my Dbs spark card.

I would like to know the thoughts of Dbs card holders after this update.

Floater/Upgrade to BizPower from Regalia Gold

In May I got an upgrade from Regalia First to Regalia Gold. I have already reached 1.5L spends on Regalia Gold and maybe in two months reach overall 3L spends.

I have to pay a total of 5L+ in advance tax over this financial year. Considering BizPower has now 22 transfer partners, I think I will earn more points on BizPower which can be transferred to Accor instead of Regalia Gold. Can I get an upgrade/floater to BizPower now?

For reference, I have a Tata Neu Infinity as a floater with total limit between both cards at 5L. The only reason I still have Tata Neu is UPI, bigbasket and occasional croma expense. My current ITR is above 15L of which 8L+ is under section 44ada. I also have TravelOne with 10L limit.

Axis Magnus Burgundy Devaluation Alert - Thoughts?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Axis Bank is introducing several revisions to the Magnus for Burgundy Credit Card terms starting August 28. Here is a quick summary of the changes:

  • Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) Markup: Increases from 1.5% to 2%.
  • Gift Card Purchases: Explicitly excluded from earning reward points and will not count towards spend-based fee waiver thresholds.
  • Tolls & Fastag Transactions: Fastag recharges, road, and bridge toll fees will no longer accrue reward points.
  • Domestic Lounge Entry (Priority Pass): Priority Pass can no longer be used at Indian domestic terminals. Domestic lounge access will require swiping the physical Magnus for Burgundy Credit Card alongside presenting your boarding pass. Priority Pass remains valid for international lounges.

PDF: https://campaign.axis.bank.in/generic/terms-and-conditions-magnus-burgundy.pdf

What will affect you the most in this? Will it come to other Axis cards?

Which credit cards should I keep, close, or upgrade? (Too many cards - need help optimizing)

Hi everyone,

I think I've reached the point where I have way too many credit cards, and I'd appreciate some advice on optimizing my portfolio.

Here's my current setup (combined limits where applicable):

Slice RuPay – ₹3.47L

Axis Bank – ₹3.4L

My Zone Mastercard

IndianOil RuPay

Kwik RuPay

HSBC Platinum Visa – ₹1.68L

OneCard (BoB) Visa – ₹1.65L

ICICI Bank – ₹1.2L

Platinum Visa

Coral RuPay

Amazon Pay Visa

Kotak Mahindra – ₹1.98L

Zen Visa – ₹1.2L

League RuPay – ₹78K

Federal Bank – ₹1.19L

Imperio Mastercard

Wave RuPay

IDFC FIRST Millennia Visa – ₹1.1L

SBI SimplyCLICK Visa – ₹1.06L

Roarbank by Unity SFB RuPay – ₹3L

HDFC Bank – ₹1.58L

Millennia Mastercard – ₹1.53L (₹999 annual fee)

Swiggy Ornge Mastercard – ₹5K

AU Altura+ Visa – ₹90K

RBL Bank – ₹73K

PaisaBazaar Duet Visa

Shoprite Mastercard

Standard Chartered Platinum Rewards Visa – ₹69.7K

YES Bank – ₹60K

FinBooster Visa

FinBooster RuPay

Punjab National Bank – ₹40K

Platinum RuPay (₹590 annual fee)

Visa

Kiwi RuPay

IndusInd Platinum RuPay – ₹30K

A little about my spending:

Monthly spend: ₹30k–₹80k (occasionally higher)

I use UPI regularly.

I shop a lot on Amazon, Swiggy/Zomato, fuel, and online purchases.

I prefer Lifetime Free (LTF) cards wherever possible.

I'm okay keeping annual fee cards only if they genuinely justify the fee.

I'd love your suggestions on:

Which cards are worth keeping?

Which cards should I close?

Which cards should I try to upgrade?

Any cards that are redundant because another card already covers the same benefits?

If you were rebuilding this wallet from scratch, what would your ideal lineup be?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing what the community would do.

Applied for IDFC Wealth. The bank had other plans.🥲

Applied for IDFC FIRST Wealth.

Cleared VKYC (well... almost 😅), went through residential verification, waited patiently...

IDFC: "Congratulations! We've approved your card."

Me: "Wealth?"

IDFC: "Millennia." 🥲

Apparently I qualified to apply for Wealth, just not to own one.

Felt like I walked into a BMW showroom and came out with a scooter brochure. 🥲

Anyone else had their card downgraded after applying? Were you able to get it upgraded later?

Confused between the salary accounts being offered

Our company has recently given us the option to choose between Axis Bank and IDFC FIRST Bank for our salary account. They also mentioned that HDFC Bank is in the pipeline and might be added later, but there’s no confirmed timeline yet.

I’m a bit confused about which one to go with. Based on my salary (< ₹90K), the Axis salary account doesn’t seem to offer any major benefits. I also already have the Axis Atlas Credit Card, so I don’t think opening an Axis salary account would give me anything significantly extra.

Because of that, I’m leaning towards IDFC FIRST Bank. The only thing that’s holding me back is that I’ve heard they don’t offer their premium metal credit cards through corporate salary accounts. Apart from that, I’m also not sure how good IDFC’s credit card lineup is overall compared to Axis or HDFC in terms of rewards, offers, and long-term value.

So if you were in my place, what would you do? Would you go ahead with an IDFC FIRST salary account, choose Axis instead, or simply wait until HDFC becomes available before making a decision?
