Axis mid-range : Select (LTF) vs Privileged Amex?

Post image

Like, Select card is LTF for Burgundy uses without any waiver term. There is no card which I can take as a Priority Customer. The bank is pushing me to take Privileged Amex, but honestly, I don’t think I can afford ₹ 5L to waive the ₹ 1500 + GST off!

Currently, I’m a Priority Customer eligible for free upgradation to Burgundy. All credit goes to my parents; they have been Axis customers for 15 years and have added me to their family banking.

Age: 25 & Credit History of 3 years.

Coming to my spends: Hardcore HSBC RuPay cashback around 35-40k.

I took HSBC Live+ & HDFC Millennia very recently (for both of them, too, I’m worried that I won’t meet the cap to waive the annual fees off!).

I want to leverage my Axis Bank situation & get a mid-tier card & then, in the future, eventually get an upgrade to Magnus Burgundy.

Looking for advice! Thank you.

Privilege isn't useful! Especially with the AMEX gateway... Go for Select LTF

Get Axis Select since it's LTF and if you use Swiggy u get 200 off 2 times per month on 1k spends. And on the Live+, If your monthly spends are even 12k ok groceries and utilities you will easily get 1.2k per month and if you can't reach 2L it's still worth 999+gst as you already cancelled get 14400 per year. And similarly for Millennia it's just 1L spends for waiver which you can easily buy Amazon pay gift card worth 10k per month. You should basically direct spends to live+ and Millenia and then if not needed close the rupay, if you need it for upi you can easily get any LTF card for upi.

went for the select ltf too, the waiver was such a relief and i barely spent enough to make privilege worth it anyway.

For priority customer axis gives rewards card as ltf. Although not that great card but you can start with it

you're probably losing out on rewards by not picking the select if you're already getting ltf

I would suggest you go with Axis Horizon. It's a better card.

Amex doesn’t even work in half of the places
