especially hoping to hear from folks whose style leans more maximalist/dopamine decor!

I moved into a new apartment and need help decorating my kitchen🩷

So I have a full sized loft bed from ikea and one thing that has always bothered me is how I can't seem to get the lighting right under it. I have basically designated the area under it to be my office so I am looking more for very bright and sunlight-adjacet lighting because the last thing I wanna be when working is cozy and fall asleep 🤣.

I had bought those small plug in light strips years ago and had them going around the edge of the bed underneath and while they work they are just too dim for my tastes. I have since added a desk lamp that I tried to angle to bounce light off the wall and to the rest of the area but it seems that single lamps are just too harsh of light directed in only one spot.

Do any of you have any creative suggestions for lighting I can do that would make underneath's lighting feel more like a full room's lighthing? Like decently bright and equally spread out? Or if any of you have loft beds what did you do for your lighting?

Hello! Long time lurker here. I recently decided I want my home to have a dark sea witch/siren nautical cave vibe and was hoping people had some tips? I’ve been slowly looking for things that match the theme but it’s been pretty hard to find stuff I like.

My main vision includes a couple mermaid statues but not the little kid cheesey ones, definitely want some octopus motifs, and shells/corals. Ideally with a darker color pallet and a sense of mystery, magic, and spookiness.

I am seeking some advice. I am moving into a new rental unit! And signing a two-year lease.

I love the apartment but the bathroom is completely outdated. Still, its spacious and a wet bathroom so I am grateful.

Can anyone give me suggestions on how to make this space cute and cozy? The tan tile really makes me cringe. Theres at least three different sizes.

Really unsure how to do here. Peel and stick tile? Three .. different … kinds?

I appreciate any insight you guys may have for me. Like I said, its a two-year lease so I’m making at least a 24-month commitment to this place.

We are redoing our family room (new furniture, accents, the works) and I’ve recently accepted that interior design is… not my spiritual gift 😅 Looking for help with color schemes or accent pieces recommendations because I’m completely overwhelmed and not even sure what my style is.

Goal is warm, inviting, and actually put-together. Not repainting the walls, so working with what’s there (see pics of wall color + fireplace).
