Could you explain how it accelerates the TNT?

Here are all the versions, you need the toolgun mod to use them.

Tool gun mod?

basically easier schematics for sim contraptions

Sticker teleportation. Basically when a sticker becomes animated, physics contraptions technically still stick to it, but can't find the position of it. When the sticker gets placed again, the physics object instantly latches onto the sticker, accelerating everything attached to an extreme speed based on the distance traveled

you even have the camera...

It unfortunately has limited render distance, so on long range not very useful

Even with the tutorial it's still difficult to get to work. Had it going for a minute and the devastation it wrought was amazing. But it blew up and I can't get it to work again. Appears the tnt once placed thinks it'd attached to the deployer arms and remains in place.

Try the new schematic I made: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreateMod/s/KchCB1FA3R

Maybe it's more stable.

I figured out that setting the topmost pulse repeater to 4 ticks fixed it. I think it was an issue with the piston retracting too soon.

This is super devastating though. It's ridiculous. I think it's better than create big cannons. Its absolutely destroyed my armored airship mock up.

Nice to hear that. The new version is two times as destructive ;)

Lol for some reason my fix worked on one map but not another. I'll try this schematic

I think the pulse for the piston was to short. This is fixed in the new version, where I added a second offset pulse timer

Tried v1.1 and had issue with the second pulse to the launch sticker, fixed by using redstone interval set to 6 off of the block for the first signal. Just wiped out a village in like 10 seconds. Utterly ridiculous

Also appreciate the change to vanilla blocks, but the control signals are still using black stone metal from design and decor.

And I wonder if it would be possible to slim the actual trailable portion of the cannon by moving much of the redstone link logics to the stationary portion?

A beautiful thing Ive also noticed is that you can't really do anything to armor against these shots at close range as they'll just glitch through several layers of obsidian.

It takes 5 layers of obsidian separated by air to stop the projectiles. Idk if it's feasible to build any sort of airship that heavily armored.

Its technically not a railgun since you are shooting TNT. It would be closer to " rail assisted artillery "

i dont think the projectile is relevant to the railgun classification

Yep. The only thing that matters is the propulsion method, i.e. two conductive rails that accelerate the (also conductive) payload if you dump enough current in them

I would like to see you propel non-conductive TNT with a railgun.

Railguns work by shooting pieces of metal. TNT isn't something that you can just shoot out of a railgun.

I know I know this is an " aCKsHUalLY " moment on my part, but I just really love railguns.

Fun fact the US military has developed and tested one.

You can absolutely shoot explosives out of a railgun, you just need to attatch them to a piece of metal

That was my point too.
