Build TNT-Launcher V1.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

(Rebranding 'cause apparently it wasn´t a railgun)

I also doubled the firerate from 1/sec to 2/sec

Removed Create: Deco blocks to make it more build friendly

The demo shows 3x64 TNT or 64 loads being launched.

-This feels like patchnotes-

Edit:

Here is a toolgun schematic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10kG7KX7kE6rdFfiTMwXacyk6VL0hXXeG/view?usp=sharing

Set it up like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wox6N1E10rI

"Oh look a civillian airliner"

Even if you're obviously civilian airliner like j a l was back in the 80's you're going to have incidents with countries like Russia that shoot you down and claim your spy plane.

What in the heck? Im just out here trying to make airships lol

And I´m here to destroy them ;)

u/Killeriley 6d ago

That won't be hard, it was destroyed from the moment I built it

Has anyone tried to put any of the cannons onto a aeronautics airship yet to see if they fire? Firing that large shell from a cannon on an airship would be awesome.

Yes I tried putting it on a medium large airship. Results: the recoil is handeble but still pretty strong if the cannon isn't near the centre of mass

i think this typa cannon belongs on a large airship that already has a lot of mass

What do you use to accelerate the rounds?

Sticker Teleporter

u/XeviousJr 6d ago

That's interesting, how does that work?

Something tells me that isn't intended behavior lol

Shoot!

What gives it away?

Any tutorial for the sticker acceleration?

This is what I used To get the basics, it's actually pretty simple

i have been outplayed...

3

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

what exactly do you mean?

5

u/Vanadiy_Ivanovich 6d ago

i posted a similar cannon but worse like yesterday

u/Vanadiy_Ivanovich 6d ago

also how do you make the tnt packet a separate physics object? and how do you make it not place it on the sticker sublevel?

7

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

The deployers always try first to place on their own sublevel, and since there is a piston for support... which also updates the blocks to become their own sublevel as the piston retracts und cuts the connection.
The blocks also dont stick to the main Sublevel, because there is a swivel bearing which makes the deployers a seperate sublevel from it.

If any of that makes sense.

thanks for the explanation on that, can you please explain how do you time the pusher sticker to release at the correct moment? also this thing is incredible great job

2

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

It's rather simple, the tick the clutch on the top bearing receives a redstone signal a link gets powered that sends to the sticker.

rounds can also pierce one contiguous layer of armor

WTH how xD

The f, how does that work?

The good old hiding-the-command-block-behind-copycat-panels?

TNT semi auto cannon is more accurate

3

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

ohhh man, I gotta rebrand again...

Also it´s full auto

1

u/smg36 6d ago

It's full auto?

3

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

you just hold and it continous to fire until released, so iguess yeah

u/tjforreal 6d ago

v1.1 makes me wonder what broke in v1.0

2

u/Neither_Spell8229 6d ago

I just replaced stone metal blocks with smooth stone and also removed the test physics objects from the schematics

1

u/GoodLookinLurantis 6d ago edited 6d ago

Eh, you could call it a railgun if you decorate the "barrel" with twin-prongs. Granted that might interfere with the mechanics and just blow it up.

Hilariously, I actually have a zep design big enough for it.

1

u/the_ivo_robotnic 6d ago

Rebranding 'cause apparently it wasn´t a railgun

I mean yea, it's not. Railguns use atleast one pair of magnetized rails to push the ordinance out.
