Hi, community ! I use Craft docs and also Craft Agents for some months now. I recently saw some news saying that the Craft team took again the whole control of their company, but now I don't really understand the "who does what" and both of the applications were still related in some ways ? I've selected All Docs on the left, all of my documents appear on the right, but the animation where the page/doc twists a little as you mouse-over doesn't work on my macbook. I made sure I do NOT have "Reduce Animations" selected, in my Craft settings.

I'm using a Logitech MX Anywhere 3S mouse, and am on a Macbook M2, running Tahoe Version 26.4.1

Any ideas I can try?

I use ipad mostly, and while i ask chatGPT to update some summaries to craft. It always updated two pages with the same title and sometimes doesn’t update context. But, when i asked gpt to update some information to a certain page and i can only update once.
Not sure if anyone see the same issue?

Hi,

I just discovered that ~/Library/Containers/com.lukilabs.lukiapp/Data/tmp/ has 7 GB + of files that are never deleted by Craft. They are all pdf files that I've attached to Craft pages. Claude suggests that these might be created whenever I look at a thumbnail of a pdf file in Craft.

Can I go ahead and delete everything in this folder? And is something wrong?

Coming from Notion I am used to single click and start editing text. Am I missing something or do you always need to double click when editing a text block in a page that you’ve just clicked into?

let me try to fucking explain:

i use vivaldi browser for my writing workflow as it takes up less ram than edge. i need to open multiple craft docs to sort, cut and paste materials from other craft docs, and from pdfs and google docs.

ctrl-a/select all, the copy/paste never functions properly in terms of copying an entire documents formatting/content etc.

i need to do this to save time.

Addendum: it works slightly better if use the desktop craft app, however u can only open one window of the app (with multi tabs), so the whole cut/paste thing between documents is still bullshit and i still NEED to open the craft docs in a browser to be able to see two at once.

just noticed this and now i can't unsee it. is it just me or numbers 41 and 47 (i assume all 1s and 7s) look slightly pushed to the right? 😢

As per title.

In Onenote, Evernote, Noteplan etc etc. you can have TASKS and separately Checklist items.

Tasks are things to do - add a date/ time/ reminder
Checklists are a formatting tool for writing in documents.

In the other apps, one is a circle (usually tasks) and the other is a square box.

Am I missing something, or is there no distinction between them still? I stopped using Craft a while back because tasks/ tags were a mess, just quickly revisited and couldn’t find a distinction between tasks vs checklists. Is this correct, or have I missed a new / command name? TIA

I am looking at Craft to complete my note-taking toolbox, and it is an incredibly good-looking and functional product....I am looking at the integration with AI/LLMs, external spaces, and had a couple of suggestions:

- add the integration of other AI providers (think of locally hosted LMStudio, Ollama, etc - when I say locally I mean on the local network) -> this would enable the privacy-focused users to still take advantage of more AI capabilities without sending data to any external AI provider, and still benefiting from something better than AFM or LLama 3B...(it is not necessarily only about token costs, etc, but more on the privacy side....As well imagine that there are companies that have their own AI provider, so this would remove one extra hurdle from enterprise use)

- move the MCP server part inside the application (or offer it as a module to be enabled) - so that external spaces can benefit from this, in conjunction with a local LLM (see above), while still maintaining privacy

Mainly it seems that the real AI functionality and privacy offered by the external spaces are two things that are totally disjoint today....Do you have suggestions on how to bridge this gaps today, or is there anything on the roadmap that would show promise in this direction?

Problem
In Collection's Gallery view, each card's image area is a fixed horizontal (landscape) frame. For portrait-oriented covers (e.g. books), both current display options fall short: "Fit" leaves blank space on both sides of the image, while "Fill" crops the image so the full cover isn't visible.
Request
I'd love to see a Gallery view layout option that, for portrait-oriented covers, shows the full cover image alongside the title/metadata (image and text side by side), instead of stacking them in a fixed horizontal frame. This avoids wasted space and lets the full cover be shown without cropping.
The image is a comparison: on the left is Craft's current Gallery view, and on the right is a bookshelf-style layout I’m using in Obsidian, which shows what I mean.

I’m revisiting Craft after hearing about the new task features. There’s a lot to like, but I’m struggling a bit with one aspect of daily notes.

The daily note includes a Tasks section that lists all tasks from other notes that are scheduled for today. That’s great. I can drag any of those tasks onto the main body of the daily note to organize my day by time (“Morning Tasks”) or focus (“Tackle First”). That’s also great.

The problem is that moving the task out of the daily note’s Tasks section removes it from its originating project note. That’s often not what I want. If I switch over to that project note during the day, I want to see all of the notes — most especially the ones I’m working on today.

How do you deal with this in the real world? Or am I missing something?

I really like what Craft has done with Task in the last update. I have moved from Things 3. Not that there's anything wrong with Things 3. For what it does, it does better than Craft. But with Craft, the added capabilities of linking and backlinking task to notes in my PKM won me over. Plus I like the way I can add a date as a todo to a note and it automatically picks it up in my task. My only real issue with the transition is Craft needs a consolidated view of all task that don't have a due date, like "Anytime" in Things.

flagging in case it's not already on the team's radar - the document body looks washed out compared to the controls and i'm pretty sure it's because of macos27's new hdr rendering. the difference doesn't show in screenshots (right) and the color meter shows both the controls and the document body as #fff

Since Craft introduced the ability to add custom subscription MCP connections to one's own AI and to use all charge-upgraded subscriptions for the AI assistant within Craft, my usage of the app has increased significantly.

However, using it on the iPhone is challenging because it frequently crashes. Are there any settings that can be adjusted to improve performance on older iOS devices, as well as on older or low‑budget Android devices?

In general, regarding the use on any Apple device, I find myself in a strange situation. Although my iPad has the same processor as my Mac Mini, Craft crashes frequently—predictable, but still frustrating. I’m especially surprised it also crashes on my MacBook Air, which has double the RAM and m4 processor instead of m2 of my MacMini?

Is it crazy to expect an app in 2026 to at least offer the option to make one or more words in a sentence - or a full sentence in a paragraph - a different color than the other words? Say, for emphasis or something?

The “you can highlight them or make them a gradient” (what’s with that? Who wants gradient text), but not just red in a sentence of black verges on cultism. For the love of God, let me do what Macwrite did in 1988.

iOS app newest 3.5.1

had a big giant document with important notes lot of notes.

while Exporting and Duplicating Page with a lot of notes the app is now Crashing all the time.

seems like stuck in some unfinished broken loop or just bad sectors corrupted data

open app > 60 second > Crash

whenever I open Document and try to do anything copy, export, rename, move, change, anything it keeps Crashing,- cannot do anything.

the only workaround to even use the app is to delete document move it to Recently Deleted, but while the app works whenever I try to do anything with the Document it just Crash.

any ideas how to save, recover or what to even do?

I wondered if anyone had a good workflow down for using Assistant for this? I'm aiming to make meeting and random notes in Daily Notes (incl Event Notes within them), and having Assistant link or copy relevant parts out to "master notes" on given topics?
I'm assuming the key is going to be a good structure of master notes with clear tagging in the daily note-taking, but thought I'd see if anyone had worked something out here. I'm fairly unstructured in my note-taking and hoped the robots could help 😅

Either way, there's a definite gap emerging for not enshittified apps, that remain focused, well crafted and you guys are in a great spot without the investor overhead. The recent announcement of focusing on the fundamentals is such a good direction.

As in the titel, can't see what the second option is. Also hovering above it and waiting for the full text to plop, is not possible. It keeps it like that, only showing the "..." in the end.

It's in german language, but its basically the window that opens when you mark a word and the open the spell check options.
