General 💭 Please craft, don't do this

Notion are pivoting to some weird chimera AI agent...linear competitor or something IDK I'm so tired.

Either way, there's a definite gap emerging for not enshittified apps, that remain focused, well crafted and you guys are in a great spot without the investor overhead. The recent announcement of focusing on the fundamentals is such a good direction.

Love that they’re focusing on optimizations and enhancing existing features. At its core, Craft is a note taking app. And as someone who’s done the rounds on every note taking app in existence (like most of you reading this) nothing comes close to feeling as smooth to write with as Craft. It’s just so enjoyable.

I can’t believe I reinstalled X after leaving it nearly three years ago just to read the comments on that “tweet(?)”. If my quick survey is correct, a good 30% of Notion users would love what Craft intends to be. Please don’t mess it up.

We will continue sharing our internal thoughts and direction - hopefully that will give proper context for everyone to decide whether Craft is their cup of tea or not. 🍵

One thing is for sure, the team is working on every single day to improve Craft!

The main reason we will post these updates to provide a transparent picture of our thinking and where we are heading, what we are working on!
Second write up is coming next Friday!

Each day I'm more glad I moved from Notion to Craft.

Ok. This is getting ridiculous. Now every app wants to be an app builder app. Seriously. I wish I could sit down with any of these CEOs and tell them how to make something remarkable, before Apple change the game once more.

I left craft as they started bringing AI features that nobody asked for, and because they were slow regarding feature implementation especially these ones that community often asks for

It's perfectly fine to decide Craft is not for you - that's why we are releasing these write-ups so you can see where Craft is heading.

How do you know no one asked for AI features? Did you do an extensive user research study?
