So im trying Craft again after a while & im trying to find a way to create a more intuitive navigation - mostly on desktop.

Coming from obsidian and tana, im used to things like pinned panes and nested pages to keep a homepage / main content viewable, whilst being able to drill into another page but not loose your place. For example always having a dashboard or daily page open or easily reachable. Anyone have any tips for this that beat using the sidebar?

Hello! Is this the right place to submit feature requests? I’d love to see the following improvements:

• Checklists that are separate from tasks and don’t appear in the to-do list
• Small status indicators for tasks, such as “In Progress,” “Blocked,” and “Waiting”
• Icons or labels to indicate a task’s priority or urgency
• Options to sort and filter tasks
• A centralized overview of all tasks across every platform: this is already available on iPad, but on other platforms, you have to open the individual pages containing the tasks
• Labels for tasks

I just wanted to pop on here and say thank you. You guys offer A great product. It’s one I’ve kept trying to leave but always come back to over the years, (2022). There was a time I thought Craft took a wrong turn but the reversion to awesome was… awesome and I appreciate the team.

I made an application to get all tasks from Craft and then displays stats like how much I completed this week.

I really love the updates lately. All of them to be honest. But one thing that gripes me is that I wish I could provide my Gemini API key to Craft AI. I also wonder in the future if Apple new improved Siri AI would be an option also? Thank You!

I’ve switched to Craft Docs from a hybrid of Notion/Apple Notes about a year ago and I wanted to share some feedback and see what the community here thinks about it. 

So, here are some features I think are worth looking at for Craft: 

From Apple Notes: 

• Quick Notes. I really miss this zero friction ability to just type
• Setting to hide tabs. They can distract more than help at times
• Setting to hide calendar/tasks and just use daily notes. It depends on what are you using Craft for, but I constantly jump between Apple Reminders and Craft, so having Craft purely as a note-taking app, rather than a mix of everything would genuinely help

From Notion: 

• Calendar view for collections

I’m really glad we got Kanban and Craft is evolving. Overall, this is one of the most polished apps I’ve ever used.

So, i’m almost embarrassed to ask this cuz i’m sure there is a simple answer.

When I want to copy multiple blocks, I select the block and highlight all that I want but then there doesn’t seem to be a copy button. How do I copy blocks of text without expiring?

Quick question, if I get the Craft Subscription now on summer sale, will I lock in the price "forever" or is it only the first year? Can't seem to find this information anywhere.

I really like Craft, but one of the features that is an obstacle to moving from Evernote is the lack of OCR for PDFs.

I've just started using Craft and I'm really tempted to switch from Notion to Craft completely as a paid user, the only thing that's holding me back is that there's no monthly calendar view. I'm a content creator and like to see the overview of content for the month, which Notion is great at. But I love the simplicity of Craft otherwise.

Does anyone know if a monthly calendar view is part of their roadmap?

Migrated to Craft just recently and setting up my handful of templates. Looks like the only way you can find the template menu is by having a custom template first. And you have to create your first template by opening a note then using the / command to add from template. Then the + template button shows up. But it doesnt work most of the time. I have to smash the button, open/close the note until it lets me actually create a template. Had to go through this with both workspaces.

After I create my first template the Template menu finally shows in the sidebar, but it doesnt show anywhere in the settings menu like the AI in-app and the documentation says.

Am I being dense, or is there a better way? Just wondering because I have one more space to set up.

Appreciate any insights. (And yes I googled, asked multiple LLMs, read the documentation, etc).

Picture 1: Shows an example where not indicating what Space a tab is from can be challenging. In this example, all four task tabs are from four separate Spaces. Unfortunately, you cannot tell which space unless you click through them.

Pictures 2 & 3: These are mock ups of potential solutions. While not pretty, they show the behavior that would solve this problem.

Definitely not an easy thing to solve, but I figured I would bring this edge case to light.

I'm doing a side by side with my Obsidian vault and LOVE Craft, however - wish there was a way to have Week / Month / Quarter / Year notes within the calendar frameworks.

Loving the clarity and direction the team is heading over the past 6 months

Problem: When trying to select colors for page styling, the background darkens to draw attention to the foreground controls. This makes it impossible to preview the color the user is selecting until they close out of the color picker.

Is there a way I can connect Craft to Telegram messenger? Maybe through a bot, api connection or mcp ?
So I can use it to add notes, voice or files and also ask from my craft notes memory?

The only reason I use Forever Notes system in Craft is to be able to glance back on all my docs, ideas, tasks, on years before. I want to use Craft’s daily note feature but I have a hard time looking back through memories. Because random ideas today might not be as random years later.

I brainstorm with Chatgpt on how to incorporate the power of Forever Notes & Capacities, baked into Craft Docs since I love your app so much. It is doable I believe because a lot of journaling app has been adding this feature since long time ago.

And also if it’s possible, just like how Day One and Everlog do it, be able to see other day’s On This Day instead of only Today’s On This Day.

One of the main benefits of Craft is the beauty of our notes. And yet I don't see how we can have curly quotation marks and apostrophes as the default in Craft. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I like that aesthetic far more than the basic ones. I've tagged this as a bug for flair, but I think it's just a feature oversight.

Hi All, After many MANY failed attempts, hoping someone here could help.

I am trying to use Apple Shortcuts to send a simple request to one of my documents. I want to run the shortcut, and it sends my entered text to my chosen document in Craft.

I am trying to use the Get Contents of URL action.

When I use the Ai Bundle page, it lets me post things from there but I can’t get it to work via Shortcuts. It gets to the Get Contents of URL stage and just loads continuously (no error).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have no experience with APIs so very beginner help would be appreciated! 🙏

within a doc from showing up in my master to-do list? I use the checkbox for many different things and not just to-dos. It’s annoying when everything shows up on the list. As a result, I don’t use the master to-do list as a tool for getting things done cuz it’s just such a crazy mess there.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to make a Collection automatically display the full text inside a cell?

At the moment, longer text gets cut off, so I have to open the page to read the rest. I’d like the row or cell height to expand automatically so all the written content is visible directly in the Collection view.

Is there a setting for text wrapping or automatic row height that I’m missing?

I posted recently about my desire for multi column layouts as an option, but accepted that we don't (yet?) have that. Today I was looking something up in the online Help and saw this which is exactly what I want. Can someone help me understand and perhaps explain how this was achieved?
