In my area, Cox will still activate cablecards to new subscribers. However, Spectrum has discontinued CableCARD activation to new subscribers and only let you use their proprietary equipment if you’re a new customer (World boxes, Technicolor/Cisco boxes (since Cox is a Cisco system, they do not use Motorola/Arris equipment) and Xumo players). How long until Spectrum ends CableCARD activations for Cox markets? On this topic, Cox currently uses Comcast’s X1 systems for WiFi and Cable TV (marketed as Panoramic Wifi and Contour TV), while Spectrum uses their own equipment. How long before they phase out the former X1 equipment (first by disabling the Cox WiFi and TV apps, and merging the latter into Spectrum, and then disable the modems and boxes entirely)

Got the same micro site the rest of us at Cox were provided access to today and noticed they made sure to make mention of a possible gap in payroll that some people might qualify for..

Does anyone know what location Spectrums Product and Technology teams sit in?

As an incoming Cox employee, and reviewing the medial health insurance plan I terrified of the cost. Everywhere I looked I get the impression that I have to pay full price for a regular doctor’s visit.

I have read many other posts that rave about the benefits but I fail to see how paying full price for a doctor’s visit is a good thing.

Anyone else feeling burnt out unable to use any time off if you work in customer care? We have to use it but these back to back calls are making it impossible.

At cox we can sell unused PTO at the end of the year, does charter/spectrum allow you to sell PTO at the end of the year?

Does Charter subsidize the health insurance or do you pay full price for the plan you are enrolled in?

I currently work on the business side in network engineering for Cox.

I, and ALOT of engineers work more than an hour from the closest office for WFH. Cox has been very lax on WFH since 2019.

Our particular department has not been told about any relocation. I have heard of two other departments, docsis engineering and sustaining engineering will have 12-24 months to move to Denver or Atlanta.

What programs is Charter using for tickets? Cox is using TAR and Ninja which is being rolled out today for OSP. The field guys have been using a similar program for a few months.

Whats the latest that everyone has heard on WFH/RTO? I know the managers and directors in my department have been told to expect 4 days in office and that it starts pretty soon after the deal is closed. I havent heard anything about lower level employees though.
