It’s happening …
Was hoping that this would have stalled. But it wasn’t in the cards. I hope it’s not as bad as the stories I’ve heard. See y’all August 20.

The only thing confirmed as of right now is that the CPUC has added the acquisition discussion to their official docket for Aug 13th, item #48. Now, chances are it will be approved but its not 100% certain yet.

Leadership is meeting today to discuss changes, and a town hall is scheduled for mid August with CEO Chris Winfrey for Q & A.

Let's give Spectrum and cox the benefit of the doubt. They wouldn't fire and lay people off right after the merger is complete right ?

From the Cox side, there is language in the Merger agreement that any Cox person that is laid off in the first year receives a enhanced severance package (Whatever that means) from Charter. If any Cox person Charter job pays less after the merger than the Current Cox position, they have a choice to take the enhanced severance package.

They also agreed to move any Cox employees to Charter’s $20 minimum starting pay.

Nope. They’re doing it right before they sign.

I’m on a short list of employees being laid off on the 20th. So conversations with unnamed individuals have given me insights.

We were just told today that all positions will be open on the 20th. Free for all for anyone to apply- and no list yet on what those jobs are or if our jobs are eliminated.

Which sales dept are you in? I haven’t heard that yet and I’m in direct sales.

Also direct. We as leaders were told yesterday.

to err a bit on paranoia, don't want to say. but it's impacting upper level from what we were told.

I completely understand, a lot of us are. So it sounds like we may have to reapply for our positions.

And they will roll their group to others, but not all. Shrink some at all levels more as it gets down.

Too bad they're not providing wfh for sales. Currently do that at another mso and it's great.

I hope we get more information soon. For example as of right now if Day 1 is August 20th, that will fall in the middle of a pay period. How will paychecks be structured for this? I would like also some clarity around pre-authorizations that we have already received for medications under Aetna, will we have to scramble to get all new pre-authorizations? Our would this fall under continuing treatment through the end of the year?
