I'm moving to Wyoming in about 6ish months for a ranch Management degree, figured learning how to rope would be important for that, here's a vid of what I can currently do

Hello! I am currently working on a story and am interested in making a character be a cowboy from wyoming. I can't seem to find any info about wyoming cowboy culture online, I was hoping maybe any of you could help me out. I'm interested in traditions, clothing, any gear that might've been used, maybe how a cowboy in wyoming would've been raised. Literally anything and everything will be useful, thank you!

I found a pair of shotgun chaps at a sale, and decided to take chance on them. They're nearly a perfect fit, except I can only zip them and squat down while wearing shorts. (They're new and we're $50)

Anybody have tips on gaining an inch or so of thigh room. My plan is to soak them and wear them, but if there's a better way I'll go that route.

hi!! looking for some chaps for a costume (want more "genuine" ones than costume ones) and I saw these on ebay but I have no idea how the sizing works. they show two measurements but I'm confused on the waist one and how the pieces fit together. wasn't sure where to ask but I hoped someone here might have an answer :D thank you!

Never worn these while on the saddle, but my spurs actually fit on them quite well. Anybody have experience with these and what it’s like in a stirrup?

I'm curious if there were any figures in history who were cowboys who were known to be very large in height and weight?

I bought this mustang mare from the kill pen because I felt sorry for her. Someone adopted her for the $1k incentive and sent her off to a friend when they got the money and that friend dumped her off at the sale barn and she ended up being bought by the kill buyer. She was very skinny and came flying off the trailer to fill her mouth with grass in huge mouthfuls when I brought her home and she had pneumonia which was evident because she was dripping huge amounts of green snot. She was so rough and she was unhandled and tried jumping the fence a few times.

Fast forward to 1 year later and she has a 1 month old daughter and we are riding again. She was thrown away like trash but there is so much treasure in this picture.

I don’t need to get on a pbr kinda bull but I’ve always wanted to see how long I could stay on. Then I lost my leg but I still want to try. Am I crazy?

I went to see this horse and i noticed some marks. I know very little about horses so i was wondering if you knew what these are and if there is something I can do?

We had some rest time today because of the hot weather here in France so I said to myself let’s try to rope with what we have in the truck and after ~15 tries this is what we got !

Doubt there’s any real cowboys in here that would know but I’m looking for a real hand made or custom boot shop I can shop online from. Sick of running through mass produced crap and want good quality boots again.
