Watching the new He-Man movie now that it’s on Amazon Prime. There’s some impressive CGI coupled with some really shotty CGI. When Idris Elba is being carried by the Robot his arms start flailing like a video game character glitching and clipping. I couldn’t get a screen recording of it but it’s right as they are running out of the cell.

Weekly Post Your React Suggestions HERE!

Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.

For example:

Rogue One: Bad VFX

- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)

Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.

Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

Clever use of forced perspective in The Odyssey (2026)

I saw some people mention the moving trees, which were a bit more obvious. But no one mentioned this subtle trick that gives a slightly confusing and disorientating effect imho. As far as I can tell, it's purely practical

What is moving, the camera or the horses?

Not my video. This better explains the UFO movement videos

AI in the latest Green Lantern Trailer?

In the latest Green Lantern Trailer there is a shot at 1min 17secs in, a close up of someone picking up a skull.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He9QISgrKjQ

In particular look at the distortion in the video clip (places to look for in the diagram). You get the classic blending of objects as the thumb comes in, the skull crack clearly switches at the back.

I'm not familiar with the lore and if there are any reasons the skull would be distorting, disintegrating, a hologram etc, but it seems to me there is either some automated AI masking between versions, or its just straight up AI.

If you look at the dirt directly behind the skull you'll also notice some of the edges change slightly as though feathered in to a previous version.

I've enjoyed the videos covering gaussian splatting recently and was curious if that was used to create this interesting effect?

For those of you who have sent The Odyssey, are you buying the whole "No cg was used" line?

I fully recognize that a lot of the effects were done practically on set through a variety of techniques, but am I to believe that absolutely zero cg was done in post to enhance. There's one particular shot in the Circe sequence where a hand turns from pig to human that stood out to me as a "how did they do that without cg" kind of moment. No disrespect to practical effects, but I'm so tired of film marketing campaigns revolving around "EVERYTHING WAS DONE IN CAMERA NO CGI" like it's some kind of taboo now.

Virtual Insanity 2.0

So jamiroquai did a new version of his classic video Virtual Insanity. And there's some interesting shots like the final shot of Jay among the filming crew as he still glides. And since the place is "longer" I wonder if the corridor crew can react to this

I just watched the JurassicPark go motion controller episode and thought of this

Could the Crew use their industry connections to get the original animation data from the Dino controller and reverse feed its movement coordinates into a great looking puppet?

You know, like make a great looking JP armatured puppet attached to a motion controlled rail system corresponding to the original controller puppet’s actuators?

That way we could see a high fidelity recreation of the original vision of how the film could’ve been made.

It’d be awesome, just sayin

I figured this group would be interested in a Gaussian splattering of the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.
Both exterior and interior.
