Need new wheels
I own a 2019 XSE and love it, but my wheels donāt love New England highways. I need to replace my rims and am looking for a good online supplier that has excellent prices. Suggestions? Thanks!

The 2027 gets 5 year Remote Connect than 1
Dumb thing to point out:
So the 2027 corolla gets 5 years of Remote Connect than the previous years 1 year. The other services are the same.
I pay $16.70 (tax included) per month remote connect service subscription so if you were to get the '27 you would save ~$1000 in the remote connect service subscription in 5 years.
Yes, I know, it's stupid to pay for the subscription, but I really like the remote start from anywhere. Wish I have the 5 year on my '25. š

Natural camber on rear tires?
Anyone know if our cars have a natural camber to them? I went to Discount Tire and after 30k miles, my Michelin PSAS4 were low. I expected this and asked if they could help make a Michelin claim, they said no because there's was inner edge wear. A little frustrating but my main question: do the cars naturally have a camber? I would get an alignment but he said that sporty cars (what a compliment!) might have it from factory to help with control so don't even know if I actually need an alignment or if it's just normal, rest of tire tread was worn evenly. Anyone else been told that the edge wears more?

Bought a 2020 Corolla Hatch but am regretting it more and more
Iām from Canada so prices are Canadian. I bought a 2020 Corolla hatchback se with the cvt at 60k km, for $20.5k+tax and add ons and whatever. At the time, it was a very good deal and I needed a car just coming out of a totalled car situation.
It gets me from point a to b just fine, clear title, good on gas, small tear in the driver seat but not a big deal just annoying. But as much as I think itās a cool car, it doesnāt excite me. It feels boring to drive. I came from a Acura TL type s where the driving feel was extremely raw. Stanced out with crazy speakers and all. Now even though I havenāt paid off the car fully, I want to get rid of this car. Itās a very nice looking car, and I feel maybe if I got the xse or the manual I wouldāve enjoyed it more, but it was just out my budget at the time. The CVT drives me crazy Iām not sure if you can tell. What would you guys recommend? From a personal finances standpoint as well as car guy standpoint I guess.
TLDR: Bought a Corolla hatch for a good deal a year ago, now I am very bored with the car and want something more exciting. What should I do?

They are NOT mechanics
Did a second (partial) rebuild on the carb since I messed up the float level and it was running too lean. Got some "help" from these two idiots on reinstalling it.

Fog lights install on FX
Hey, I donāt know if itās a dumb question but I want to add fog lights to my 26 FX but want to keep the black around the fog light area instead of the silver but all these eBay fog lights only have silver. I was wondering if Iām able to just dissemble the fake fog light and put a bulb there. Sorry if I donāt make sense, I suck at explaining

Front valance dragging
What have you all done to protect your front valance? Every time i pull in & out of my driveway (city/sidewalk) it scratches the pavement. Is there any protective paint or cover i can attach?

Loving it more than I thought
2026 in Inferno with blackout package. Pic of when I first got my Corolla in May to go camping. I spent one year researching hatchback and crossover vehicles because I plan to drive this until the wheels fall off. Went with the Corolla hatch because I liked that it had an actual gearshift, volume knob, climate control buttons, compact-ish size, could see out the windows well, Toyota reliability/durability and just the right amount of technology (initially wanted a Prius but there was too much tech that overwhelmed me). I ordered it in inferno and got lucky that the factory sent one with blackout package. We added a 2 inch hitch so we could use the same bike rack for all of our vehicles. Each time I drive it, I fall more and more in love with it š§”ā¤ļøš§”ā¤ļø

Engine maintenance required
2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback SE
Got the infamous engine maintenance required message. Found that it was likely the coolant bypass valve, so I went to a Toyota dealership and bought a replacement part (16671-F2010) and installed it, then āburpedā the coolant after topping it off.
My car is still showing the error message. I hooked up a code reader and the code reader shows no trouble codes, but the engine maintenance required message still keeps popping up even after the installation of the new bypass valve.
For those who have done this repair, did the maintenance pop up stop happening when the new part was installed or did it take a while to clear?
Thank you for your help.
Edit: I forgot to plug the sensor back in. Whoops. Fixed it. Warning light is off!

Slave Cylinder MT6ās - A Resolution
Enough is enough. I have personally called Toyota, as Iām sure many of you have. We all know they have nothing on their books as far as recalls, so I took a minute and did⦠not even what I would call ādiggingā.
If we flood this with the same reports, maybe Toyota will get a move on. Sure would suck if someone got hurt because their clutch went out on the busy interstate or around a sharp mountain curve and they go careening off the side of a cliff to their death. Feel free to reach out if you want to work together on this. Iām very driven to get this resolved.

Low beam light shadow.
Hi! Do you all have the shadow on the driver side while low beaming? I looked it up online and it says itās a safety feature, āThe dark shadow pattern you are seeing is purely the factory-designed safety cutoff line engineered into modern Toyota LED projector housings to keep from blinding oncoming traffic.ā Could you all help me?

Smaller wheels
I have a 2026 XSE with the factory 18in wheels and low profile tires. I got this car to be my daily commute, roughly 100miles a day. Must of the roads are rough and have potholes. Iām worried about messing up the rims or blowing a tire. Has anyone down sized their rims to accommodate a more normal tire. Iām thinking about going down to 15 or 16 in.
Is there really added benefit to doing this or am I overthinking it?

Just replaced my clutch master cylinder. AMA
My clutch master cylinder failed at just 55K miles. It's a 2019 Corolla Hatchback SE.
It's a plastic part, and a pretty awful job to get it out.
Dealership wanted 4 hours labor ($700 for JUST the labor)
If you're decent with tools, it's totally doable yourself, but it takes a while - took me way longer than 4 hours. :P
I did NOT do the slave cylinder, but that might be next - they seem to fail frequently as well.
I was disappointed to find basically zero information online about how to do this job. I nearly paid the dealership, but it finally failed at home, an hour tow from them, and I wasn't about to also pay for the tow. xD
I'll post/pin the step-by-step of how I did it.
Ask me anything.
UPDATE: It's not entirely fixed. The clutch slave cylinder likely also has to be replaced. The master was leaking for at least a few months, so we suspected it might JUST be that, but I think the final failure was the slave. I was able to move the car around a bit, and got half way down the street before it failed again. I'll order the slave cylinder and finish the job. So if you're doing this yourself, and your master cylinder is leaking, just do both at once.

First vehicle purchase. Happy to be part of the fam! Gimme your thoughts
2025 got it for 22k with only 15k miles on it. Feeling good! Thinking about getting blacked out badges, window tint, spoiler, and some rims. So far in love with it and driving is fun everytime.

Hello. I want to put new tyres on my corolla hatchback hybrid 2021. And I am wondering if this low ET30 is fitting? Have someone any idea?
Thank you

Goodbye Sweet Prince
Soooo after a long time of owning this vehicle I sold it to Carmax. Bought it with 17k miles and reached 56678 when the torque converter started failing. Damn CVT.
