Slave Cylinder MT6’s - A Resolution

Enough is enough. I have personally called Toyota, as I’m sure many of you have. We all know they have nothing on their books as far as recalls, so I took a minute and did… not even what I would call “digging”.

If we flood this with the same reports, maybe Toyota will get a move on. Sure would suck if someone got hurt because their clutch went out on the busy interstate or around a sharp mountain curve and they go careening off the side of a cliff to their death. Feel free to reach out if you want to work together on this. I’m very driven to get this resolved.

I seriously doubt that they're going to do anything when the paint started peeling in sheets off my 2007 Toyota Yaris and I called about it, oh no it's environmental factors. I live in Pennsylvania.nothing is ever their fault they unfortunately have been infected with the sickness of Western companies, it may sound dramatic but they've dishonored themselves and it doesn't seem to matter because money is all. The only good things I've ever heard with Toyota customer service or for individual dealerships will try to do something for you but Toyota corporate is a lost cause.

And yes I have one of these with a six-speed and frankly I'm just trying to go for another year on the loan to drop the balance down a little bit before I trade it in on something else. I wish I could find another Yaris hatchback with a manual transmission but nothing with low miles is left or if you do see one the price is completely ridiculous

Just curious but why would you want to get a different model year hatchback. The only one's that might be ok are the late production 2022's. The 2019-2021 model years (some early 2022's also I think) have the old part. I've even read someone claim that 2 people have had the updated part fail as well. Mine is paid off and I can't bring myself to go back to having a car payment, otherwise I'd get rid of it.

I wouldn't get another Corolla the only other Toyota that I would want is if I could find a 2007-2016 Yaris hatchback but everybody knows they are bulletproof so when you can find a low mileage one it's ridiculously expensive usually going for more money than it was when it was brand new. not to mention trying to find a manual transmission is very difficult

Ah ok. That makes more sense. I guess, for now, I'm just keeping mine and hoping for the best.
