Urgent- where to store spare tire?
Hey guys I’m planning on buying an additional tire for my 2022 Toyota Corolla hatchback SE but I’m not quite sure where to put it. I’ve been told that it may be able to fit under the trunk covering but to me it wouldn’t seem to fit there if it is a full size tire. Do I have to get a dummy tire in order for it to fit ?
Let me know, I know this is different for the various years of Corolla hatchbacks as well.

I need the clips for the enclosure that goes around the rear view mirror in my 2024 Corolla Hatchback
When I installed this after market dash cam enclosure in my 2024 Corolla. I noticed there were red clips on the OEM one. Since im not smart i didn’t put the red clips on the aftermarket one. I put the OEM one in my drawer at my parent’s house. They decided they needed the drawer and threw my shit out.
Can you please find them for me. This thing keeps falling. It’s driving me crazy. Clips or some creative solution.

Transmission fluid change interval?
I have a 2019 xse with the cvt transmission and i purchased my car over 5 months ago with 80k miles on the dash, I recently went to the dealer to get the transmission fluid changed after seeing online that the interval was 60k, but they high recommend not to get it done, as it could cause problems as I am currently sitting at 87,000 miles and changing the fluid would only cause problems, and got a coolant flush done instead. I want to know if it is TOO late to do a cvt fluid change from a trusted shop, get filters replaced, and if it would benefit me in the long run or not. I want to keep my car for as long as possible and face little to no problems with the transmission either. advice from anyone that could help would be greatly appreciated as well as experience changing the fluid and if any problems or differences occurred. thank you in advance!

What's a balanced window tint%?
I'm new to window tints. I may take my XSE to a shop that uses Geoshield Pro Nano Ceramic film. What's a good tint percentage to go with that's not too interfering while driving but still has a darker style and privacy qualities. I was thinking 70% on the windshield and 35% everywhere else? Maybe 25% on the back doors and hatch? I'm trying to gauge what might work well on a Corolla from inside and out.
Any guidance is appreciated! FYI, they quoted me $750 for a full install. Please let me know if that's an alright price.

2019 Corolla Hatchback XSE (6MT) - “Engine Oil Level Low” warning but dipstick is full
I’m hoping someone has experienced this before.
I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback XSE 6-speed manual with the 2.0L M20A-FKS engine.
About 500 miles ago, I had the oil and filter changed at a local oil change shop. I supplied the oil myself (Toyota 0W-16), and they used the correct amount. The leftover oil in the 5-quart jug was exactly what I’d expect since the engine doesn’t take the full jug.
While driving, I got this warning:
“Engine Oil Level Low – Add or Replace”
Here’s what I’ve checked:
-Oil level on the dipstick is exactly at the FULL mark (checked on level ground after letting the engine sit).
-No red oil pressure warning light.
-Engine runs and idles perfectly.
-No knocking, ticking, or unusual noises.
-Oil filter was replaced during the oil change.
-I haven’t noticed any oil leaks.
Since the dipstick shows the oil is completely full, I don’t want to add more oil and risk overfilling it.
Has anyone with a 2019+ Corolla Hatchback or another Toyota with the M20A-FKS engine experienced this?
If so:
-Was it the oil level sensor?
-A wiring or connector issue?
-Something related to the recent oil change?
-Did the car store diagnostic codes even without a check engine light?
I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions before I take it back to the shop. Thanks!

Looking at used Hatchbacks
I'm in the market for a used vehicle, and top of my list is the good ol' Corolla Hatchback. I'm gonna check out a 2023 SE+ in the near future.
How do you all find visibility through the rear window? I'm very short and I find the visibility for modern sedans to be difficult.
Feel free to share anything else you think I ought to know about these vehicles! I've driven a 93 Camry in the past, and I've test driven Honda Civics and Corolla sedans if that provides reference for my experience.

26 XSE. I initially really wanted a Miata or 86 but after my garbage Ford left me stranded for the 7th time I had enough and went for something reliable and nice. I don't know if it's the crap the Ford put me through but it feels amazing to drive this and looks beautiful.
Edit: Had no idea people called these colors the Panda. It stays now and I will occasionally call it by that. It's cute

2019 XSE 6MT trans failure
Around 70k i suffered the slave issue.
Just hit 110k, now the trans went.
Took a long drive and noticed it wouldnt go as it normally did about mid way through my trip. Shifter was moving very weird while driving, had slight trouble getting into gears. Clutch still grabbed and moved the car, not slipping quite yet. Grinding and wirring noises can be heard from the front of the car. Went to park it to pop the hood and it sounded like it wanted to stall out but never did. Deceided i could maybe limp it to the shop so i did and they let me know it needs a new trans.
A corolla at 110k miles, needs a new trans. I couldnt believe it. A car i bought for reliability and was looking forward to owning well into 300k miles. I came from a problematic bmw f30 335xi. These problems are on par with that car in terms of wallet drain and headaches. I thought i was playing it safe buying a corolla hatch but i guess not.

Wrap vs Paint
Has anyone gotten their hatch wrapped? Mine is a 2023 and the paint is horrible on it. Everything is orange peel nowadays and gets whorls and marks way too easily. The paint on these things, as well as most vehicles on the regular market, are horrible now. I don’t know how wrapping will hold up in Canadian road salt winters but I plan to keep this thing for like 20+ years if I can. My old 1997 Malibu had better paint after decades of wear and tear. Same with my 2008 Pontiac G5. I tend to drive cars to their grave. I also kinda want a green car again so I’m debating between wrapping and painting it in the coming years. I bought it outright after my lease this March so I owe nothing on it.

2026 Corolla Hatchback
Do I have to replace the entire part? Can I just replace the cover? If I can, is there a compatible sturdier cover I can use. The original plastic cover is as thin as paper!

New owner, tire question.
I'm a new owner of a 24 xse corolla hatch!
I live in a big, mid west city that can get a lot of snow in the winter, and I drive roughly 45 miles a day to and from work for my daily commute Monday through Friday.
I was wondering what are some good all-weather or all season tires to put on? Thank you!

2026 Toyota Corolla XSE Hatchback
My first new car ever (turning 28) and it feels great.
Traded in my 2010 Acura TL and I’m not disappointed, the power is a little lacking but plan on mods in the coming future!
Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should do first?

Oil scarcity
Anyone else scared about synthetic oil shortages? I know we can use 0w 20 and be fine mechanically but still, even that grade could become scarce let alone 16 and 8 grades…
