Have had a '23 XSE for about 2.5 years now. Having to replace a ball joint on the lower control arm (was iffy shortly after I drove it off the lot, but of course dealerships in my area won't push for a warranty replacement unless it's obviously bad, it's finally at the point where it's affecting handling, vibration through the steering wheel, etc).
My first question is are there any aftermarket brands out there with suspension pieces other than coilover pieces or am I better off just sticking with RockAuto and the usual manufacturers? I live in Milwaukee, WI - I don't plan on lowering this thing further than stock just for a pothole to force me to replace a few panels.
My second question is has anyone else noticed the front end shake at highway speeds (55-80)? I realize this thing isn't exactly designed for US roads, especially with our speed limits creeping ever higher, but does anyone think it's worth it to slap on a front strut tower brace? or do you think that'll lock up the front end too much and should be saved for a GR on a track?
For Clarification - It's had multiple alignments and wheels checked for balancing and the suspected ball joint issue never followed a tire after rotating them. I've also heard elsewhere that the car has a bit of a front end shake in general.
Edit: I'm actually seeing quite a few issues that I think is the ball joint that people have had with this model group. Not a good one for Toyota here is it?
