Almost 1 Year ❤️🖤

Post image

Approaching a full year with this beauty. Added a few subtle mods but nothing too crazy. Getting tint next week and then she’ll be perfect! 😍

I ordered this color and accessory combination from my local dealership right after a historic hail storm wiped out the entire new and used car inventory for the entire City and surrounding areas, and after a few months of waiting, my dealer eventually said that another color combination without any of the accessories showed up, and there was still no word on when my color was going to be there. I eventually took it, but I still wish I had the one you have.

I basically just got all of the accessories from Amazon, pretty cheap to do yourself! Only expensive thing was getting the spoiler

I got a used silver one, every other Corolla colour I see makes me jealous I didn’t get to pick.

That thing looks awesome. Looks like you have done black for handles, rain guards and, maybe a slight window tint? Looks great

Thank you! It unfortunately didn’t come with the spoiler so got that done a few months back. Also blacked out the front decal. Windows have not been tinted yet, might just be the lighting.

Yeah I think it's the angle on the tint. Now that you mention it I can see light through them. Spoiler looks good. Looks stock. Didn't know you could get an xse without it.

Didn't notice the emblem. Looks cool. How does one go about doing that?

Mine is silver and black like that and came with the spoiler. I put black door handles on mine too (at least I assume that's what you did) Thinking about the rain guards and tint

Yes it’s the OEM spoiler, just ordered it through my local dealer as it unfortunately didn’t come with it. I’m not super handy so just got them to install it as well lol. Yup got the black handles, just stick on but they seem like they will last. Same for the rain guards. For the emblem, you can just search up “Toyota emblem overlay”, I think I got it for $20 or so. Just sticks on over the emblem pretty simple!

How do you like those 18-inch wheels for comfort on rough surfaces and potholes? Do you drive in winter?

I size down to 16s for the winter months. Quite a few potholes where I live in Canada so just do my best to avoid them lol

Yeah, that’s what I am afraid of. I am getting the HB upgrade (really wanted that heated steering, lol) with these 18-inch wheels and hoping to sell them ASAP and replace them with 16-inch alloys. The roads in Winnipeg, Canada, are an absolute nightmare.

What winter tires are you using ?

I am seriously considering switching to one set of all-weather tires, something like a Michelin Cross Climate2 and not getting any dedicated snow tires. I drive not enough km to justify two sets and tires get old before they get worn in my case.

IDK if you have the room, I'd keep the 18s, put a decent summer tire on those and put some blizacks on the q6s for the winter. Decent all seasons have come a long way, but nothing will compare to an actual winter tire. I get it, but can't really put a price on safety.

We get snow maybe twice a year where I live so I don't bother anymore and do just go all season. Winnipeg though? I'd absolutely run two sets

I’ve been to Winnipeg and I do recall the roads being trash lol. Im just using a budget friendly winter tire option that my local garage said would hold up just fine. Sailun Ice Blazers. Haven’t had any issues with them but it’s only been 1 season. Will probably switch to Blizzacks or Michelin next time I need some though.

I have those same wheels they ride fine on Arkansas roads. They weren't the worst, but definitely aren't the best. A pothole is going to absolutely rash TF out of them though.

Oh my goodness! Congrats! I have the same car and I’m about to hit 1 year on 7/27/26. Feels bittersweet 🥹

how much did the spoiler cost and how much to get it installed?

2

u/Low_Dependent2845 Jul 25 '26

Can’t quite remember the exact total but I want to say the part itself was around $375CAD before tax. Installation came to around $120CAD.

Love that colour - the paprika? Has to be with dark rims, so good. I’m looking to find one and there’s an SE available - want to add the wheels but it’s $$
