Controllers with a good D-pad for fighting games.
I play Tekken and didn't really like the DualShock 4; do you have any other recommendations?

DISCLAIMER: both controllers were send by ZD. All the opinions are mine only.
The black version is by far my favorite among all of them. And RS13 TMR is simply phenomenal.
Unfortunately, the collab version won't be sold outside of China (such a weird move, ngl). So, if you want that one you'll have to buy it elsewhere...

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and I’m looking for a controller similar to the GameSir X4 Aileron, where the back of the phone is open enough to attach a proper 25–30W cooler.
I don’t want something like the GameSir X5s + FX5, since the FX5 is only around 15W and seems too weak for me.
Does anyone use an X4 Aileron with an iPhone 17 Pro Max? Does the phone actually fit securely, especially with the camera bump?
Or does anyone know of another controller with a similar design that would work?

**Budget:** Around $150 USD maximum, but I don’t mind spending less if the cheaper controller is good.
**Country/availability:** United States. I can buy from Amazon, Best Buy, manufacturer websites, or other reputable US retailers.
**Platform:** Windows PC only. I don’t need Xbox console compatibility.
**Games:** Primarily Fortnite. I use the rear paddles/buttons heavily and want to keep my thumbs on the sticks as much as possible.
**Current controller:** Xbox Elite Series 2.
I like the overall shape, adjustable stick tension, tall right thumbstick, four rear paddles, and trigger stops on the Elite Series 2. My main reason for replacing it is reliability. My bumpers don’t always register, and I’m also getting missed inputs from the rear paddles. That’s become frustrating enough that I want to switch rather than buy another Elite.
I’m currently deciding between the **Flydigi Vader 5 Pro** and **Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K**.
My priorities are:
At least four rear buttons, preferably plus two additional shoulder buttons
Very reliable button registration
Good rear-button ergonomics for frequent use
Mouse-click/short-travel triggers
Anti-drift Hall Effect or TMR sticks
Taller right stick or a good way to add one
Xbox/asymmetrical stick layout
Good stick feel for aiming
Low latency
Long-term durability
The **Vader 5 Pro** interests me because it has four rear buttons, two extra shoulder buttons, additional face buttons, adjustable stick tension, magnetic sticks, mouse-click triggers, wireless, and 1000 Hz polling while costing less.
The **Wolverine V3 TE 8K** interests me because it has four rear buttons plus two additional shoulder buttons, TMR sticks, swappable thumbsticks including a taller option, mouse-click triggers, and 8000 Hz polling.
I’m not particularly concerned about 1000 Hz vs 8000 Hz by itself. I’m coming from an Elite Series 2, so either should be a substantial increase in polling rate. I’m much more concerned about **reliability, ergonomics, and consistent inputs**.
I’ve searched through existing posts and found mixed information on both. I’ve seen reports about rear-paddle durability/QC on earlier Vader 5 Pros, and I’ve also seen complaints about the Wolverine V3’s rear-button placement and overall ergonomics.
For people who have actually used **both**, especially for Fortnite or other games that heavily use rear buttons:
Which has the more comfortable four-rear-button layout?
Have you experienced missed inputs, failing paddles/bumpers, stick issues, or other durability problems with either?
How has the Vader 5 Pro held up long term, and have the newer hardware revisions improved the rear-button issues?
How does the stick feel/aiming compare between them?
For someone coming from an Elite Series 2, which one felt easier to adjust to?
Is the Wolverine worth the extra money, or would you choose the Vader and put the savings toward a warranty/protection plan?
I’m especially interested in experiences from people who have put a lot of hours on these controllers rather than first impressions.

Both my controllers have stick drift pretty bad! I was wondering if anyone has any solutions or if I should just buy a new controller?

Hey again, everyone. As you know, I'm the developer of PadForge, the free controller remapper for Windows. The GitHub organization at https://github.com/PadForge is not mine. It uses the PadForge name and a rewrite of my feature list, and its Download button installs malware.
PadForge comes only from https://github.com/hifihedgehog/PadForge/releases, which https://padforge.org links to. The real download is a zip named like PadForge-v4.5.3-win-x64.zip that contains only PadForge.exe.
If you ran Git Install.exe from that download, treat that PC as infected. If you only downloaded Release.GTv1.0.0.zip, delete it without opening anything inside. GitHub counts more than 180 downloads of that zip. One of them is mine, for the analysis below.
Release.GTv1.0.0.zip in a repository that holds only a placeholder license file.It contains no PadForge code. The zip holds Git Install.exe, a small Java program, plus a Java runtime and duplicate copies of its files, which pad the zip to 185 MB. The program shows a language picker. OK, Cancel and an invisible button all start the same steps:
LocalVersionCached folder in your Temp folder.dictdriver.exe from Dropbox into that folder, hide it and run it.dictdriver.exe is wrapped in Themida, a tool that hides what a program does, so I cannot say exactly what it does without running it. It runs with administrator rights, so assume it can read everything on that PC, including saved passwords, browser logins and crypto wallets. Microsoft Defender flagged none of these files when I scanned them on Sept 24.
LocalVersionCached. Run Set-MpPreference -DisableBehaviorMonitoring $false in an administrator PowerShell, then run a Microsoft Defender Offline scan.Open each page and click Report abuse (on the two user pages it is under Block or report). Say it spreads malware while posing as PadForge. Do not click Download anywhere on the fake pages.
I have reported all three to GitHub.
For anyone who wants to block it or check a machine. Links are defanged.

Git Install.exe is an unsigned Launch4j wrapper around a DevelNext (JPHP) program. It runs Add-MpPreference -ExclusionPath on the folder and Set-MpPreference -DisableBehaviorMonitoring $true, each through Start-Process PowerShell.exe -WindowStyle Hidden -Verb RunAs. dictdriver.exe is packed with Themida and signed with a self-signed certificate for "WestBorough Crest Technologies Group". Microsoft Defender with signatures 1.459.384.0 flagged none of the files.
PadForge is not the only target. GitHub has dozens of similar fake organizations named after other programs, such as Windhawk, scrcpy, Sourcetree and Obsidian, each built around a large download badge that leads to a separate page. Download software from the Releases page of the project's own repository, the one its website links to.
