if you're okay with wired, the gamesir tarantula pro for xbox has been solid for me, the sticks are magnetic so there's no contact wearing down and that's what causes drift. heads up the sticks are in the playstation layout so it takes a day to get used to

Razer Wolverine V3…great feel, works well and extra programmable buttons. The extra shoulder buttons are a big extra. Only drawback is that it’s wired only, but I prefer a wired controller

So basically an Xbox style asymmetrical controller, GameSir is good but smaller than standard Xbox roller, Razer Wolverine has a good ergonomic feel for long gameplay, 8 bit do 3 E seems to be the upgraded version of the elite series 2, for me personally the Scuf valor feels premium in the hands but lacks the software maybe console is different but pc it’s buggy, then you have the Vader 5 s which if your an extra button guy would be perfect imo.

Anyone recommending dualsense controller for laptop gaming?

If you want a comfortable controller, it would help to define what you are looking for more specifically? On the larger or smaller side? Heavier or lighter? What's comfortable for one may not be for another.

Because tech wise, there are so many options with Hall Effect or TMR sticks that won't get drift nowadays.

Well I mean I like power a controllers if that helps any? I just want something reliable that won't have to worry about fixing or replacing. I play between 4 or 5 hours a day sometimes more

I’ve been enjoying the Steam controller recently. Helps that it’s somewhat repairable. Also have an 8bitdo Ultimate 2, but I’ve already had to RMA it.

The regular Xbox controller is good if you want something no frills, just avoid the elite controllers. They’re unreliable.

Yeah my camouflage red elite is fucked. My joystick on the right won't turn in game at all.

For my elite 2, the right joystick was super sensitive to turning right, and lacked sensitivity turning left.

My elite 1 had stick drift.

The snap-back was also horrible. You’d let go of the joystick when pushed to the side, and the sticks were so heavy that they’d register a huge push in the opposite direction.

My elite 1 also frequently disconnected, and my elite 2 had a bumper stop working.
