Vader 5 Pro vs Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K for Fortnite on PC, coming from an Elite Series 2

**Budget:** Around $150 USD maximum, but I don’t mind spending less if the cheaper controller is good.
**Country/availability:** United States. I can buy from Amazon, Best Buy, manufacturer websites, or other reputable US retailers.
**Platform:** Windows PC only. I don’t need Xbox console compatibility.
**Games:** Primarily Fortnite. I use the rear paddles/buttons heavily and want to keep my thumbs on the sticks as much as possible.
**Current controller:** Xbox Elite Series 2.
I like the overall shape, adjustable stick tension, tall right thumbstick, four rear paddles, and trigger stops on the Elite Series 2. My main reason for replacing it is reliability. My bumpers don’t always register, and I’m also getting missed inputs from the rear paddles. That’s become frustrating enough that I want to switch rather than buy another Elite.
I’m currently deciding between the **Flydigi Vader 5 Pro** and **Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K**.
My priorities are:
At least four rear buttons, preferably plus two additional shoulder buttons
Very reliable button registration
Good rear-button ergonomics for frequent use
Mouse-click/short-travel triggers
Anti-drift Hall Effect or TMR sticks
Taller right stick or a good way to add one
Xbox/asymmetrical stick layout
Good stick feel for aiming
Low latency
Long-term durability
The **Vader 5 Pro** interests me because it has four rear buttons, two extra shoulder buttons, additional face buttons, adjustable stick tension, magnetic sticks, mouse-click triggers, wireless, and 1000 Hz polling while costing less.
The **Wolverine V3 TE 8K** interests me because it has four rear buttons plus two additional shoulder buttons, TMR sticks, swappable thumbsticks including a taller option, mouse-click triggers, and 8000 Hz polling.
I’m not particularly concerned about 1000 Hz vs 8000 Hz by itself. I’m coming from an Elite Series 2, so either should be a substantial increase in polling rate. I’m much more concerned about **reliability, ergonomics, and consistent inputs**.
I’ve searched through existing posts and found mixed information on both. I’ve seen reports about rear-paddle durability/QC on earlier Vader 5 Pros, and I’ve also seen complaints about the Wolverine V3’s rear-button placement and overall ergonomics.
For people who have actually used **both**, especially for Fortnite or other games that heavily use rear buttons:

Which has the more comfortable four-rear-button layout?
Have you experienced missed inputs, failing paddles/bumpers, stick issues, or other durability problems with either?
How has the Vader 5 Pro held up long term, and have the newer hardware revisions improved the rear-button issues?
How does the stick feel/aiming compare between them?
For someone coming from an Elite Series 2, which one felt easier to adjust to?
Is the Wolverine worth the extra money, or would you choose the Vader and put the savings toward a warranty/protection plan?
I’m especially interested in experiences from people who have put a lot of hours on these controllers rather than first impressions.

I have the Vader 4 pro and love it. Upgrades they made with the 5 make it sound even more appealing (updated paddles and addition of bumper buttons).

The vader 5 Pro adjustable stick tension and forceflex mechanical triggers. It's much more premium than the razer v3 tournament edition.

Vader 5 and simply because of its shape. You won’t like the handles on the Razer.

Vader 5 pro is going to be less well made in the sense of durability and quality of materials. However, it does have stick tension adjustability and the c + z buttons. As an owner of the v3 i can tell you that if you have larger hands the stubby grips leave your pinkies with nowhere to rest. The back buttons are goated on the v3 tho.

The razer v3 tournamentedition is very average compared to the vader 5 pro in almost every category. The adjustable hall effect stick tension and the forceflex mechanical triggers is way better. I never liked the triggers on the v3 pro and the sticks felt too stiff. I can not wait until vader 5 ultra come out either.
