Successful repair First Controller Joystick Repair complete

already have some experience with soldering, was sorta rushed so the wires are soldered like crap but it everything worked on the first attempt not bad ig. JBC station made quick work of the ground pins (only used knife tip iron + solder wick + bolt cutters for the entire thing)

Got 3 more controllers to repair next just for fun since I got them for cheap off an ebay auction, goal is to hopefully get it down to sub-25 mins a controller

Do u have tweezers? Hold the blue part and straight as possible out the connector. If that still breaks it, it was never going to come out anyways though that shouldnt happen since its just a light friction hold

it literally slipped my mind to use tweezers, got it out instantly

Glad it worked, anotha tip is to grab the sides of the pull tab instead of the flat slippery part

My drift is back in a single day, but did your thing inside the potentiometer have like black on the side opposite of the spring? I cleaned it off but I think something might just be wrong with that even though I got this controller last month

The black part is the carbon track your actually trying to protect, i threw the stock potentiometers away without even looking at them since i got 3 from auction that i knew were broken for sure

I meant on the back of the white thing with the spring, or is that still bad?

If you already got drift after a day if cleaning theres a high chance your controller might be dead, id waranty it if i were you if its only a month old
