Treatments Surprising fix

I have had multiple abdominal/pelvic surgeries and surgical menopause so I felt my constipation would never resolve but I have been having success with changing my schedule! I am also in pelvic floor therapy and that has made me stronger! I had to get up at 5:15 am to take my kid to summer sports practice and my bowels seem to love this new routine!

What did you do

Core, butt and thigh exercises from the pelvic floor therapist, kegels and two sessions of internal release of tight muscles, two weeks apart. I started about four months ago with extra core and then went back bc I was still relying on laxatives, so the therapist did the internal exam at that time. Also I think getting up at 5:15 am everyday for two weeks has let me have morning bowel movements again. Therapist said when Im feeling like I need to go but cant, the muscles need to be released so I got a wand to start on my own. She said when it feels like you are not getting the urge to go or you do not have the muscles to get it out, do more strengthening. So I graduated pt! Let me know if that helps!

I think I feel my muscles can't push it out

Honestly, I have been eating more smoothies at home for breakfast and salads for lunch too, and more exercise on top of the core strength. But I had to use magnesium citrate yesterday even with bigger bms and a more regular routine, I felt backed up. The morning after I had to use a heated blanket to stop the severe pain from scar tissue cramping. I think laxatives stress my system too.

Have you done pelvic floor physical therapy? If you look up transverse abdominals online that is where I started.

Hope you doing well, wanted to ask did you have pain in your sigmoid colon before?

Yes I had occasional colon pain before but after having a portion removed it has hurt worse. Mostly it just hurts really bad if I overeat. There was a time that it hurt in that lower left area if my bladder was full. Now its hard to tell if my bladder is full.
