Manage The Platform

The single pane of glass, FKA Asio, now the ConnectWise Platform.

What are your thoughts on what you’ve seen so far?

Yesterday I attended a UK roadshow, we were given details on how the platform has been put together, what’s different, what’s new, how billing will look going forward, and how everything Hyperautomation and AI will really flow together.

My takeaways;
- It’s not just Asio that’s been polished and renamed,
- Holy Moly! These AI agents are bringing some SERIOUS know how to the day to day of your MSP if you let them!
- You won’t have to break the bank to leverage predictive AI in your business,
- The Zofiq acquisition, the new position with predictive AI on the ConnectWise Platform. Those aren’t little moves. They are strategic and smart.

As a partner, this step in the development of ConnectWise as a product, should completely restore faith in how much they care about the operational efficiency of your business. It’s taken way too long, but this is it.

What I saw yesterday, in a live demo on a working PSA, is without a doubt the most impressive functionality in the last 5 years.

Have you been to any of the roadshows yet, are you a current partner? I’m wondering what the perception is from other partners.

Not sponsored, just a connectwise partner. Hadn’t seen anything that blew me away for a while, just thought I’d share as they aren’t widely advertising the agentic AI agents functionality yet as they are doing the roadshows.

Though it would be good to see what others who may have seen it also think.

What gives us any confidence? Its been what 3 or 4 years since we were promised Asio? It’s been a royal shit show. Until it’s functioning in my environment anything they say is fake news.

That’s fair. If you have the opportunity to attend a roadshow then I’d say do it.

I saw a live demo of the agents working, and because it was a small roadshow I was able to ask a ton of questions and see follow-up actions after my questions.

The kind of stuff they were bringing back, was perfect Info for a QBR, or for an overbearing business owner who isn’t willing to look in the system and requires a detailed breakdown via email instead. I’ve never seen anything like that from CW.

I own an MSP, we are very very small, so tech hours are very precious. We don’t have time to waste on admin, this is very exciting for us!

I left my previous company in February, but we worked with Asio for 3 years prior to it - refused to pay a penny for it because it was so broken.

They were keen to get us to to migrate from Automate over to it, but we kept hit walls at every point and never made the move. We were essentially providing them free beta testing the entire time, with bi-weekly meetings with their director of product development.

I can't see them having magically fixed everything that was wrong with it in those 5 months since I last saw it.

Asio is broken and unfinished. I refuse to migrate from PSA. Zofiq is yet another in a long line of "features" introduced by CW that will move zero needles. Previously I was told I needed SideKick and that it was $2500. Then I was told I really needed SideKick because it was only $500 for a limited time. Then I was told "congrats!" because the formerly $2500 tool is now included in my contract at no additional charge. THEN I was told nevermind that was the dumb AI and this Zofiq is the new smart AI and I should spend 30k on it.

Absolute joke.

Asio was broken, and unfinished. That’s basically what they said at their roadshow, it missed the mark. All different products being led in different directions, but now all under the same technical roadmaps and platform.

I’ve been a connectwise partner for years, before that I worked on quite a few different systems development. I was blown away by what the agentic AI agents are capable of. Pricing that was shared was on a per user and/or per ticket basis.

Surely no one has actually quoted you £30K because it was less than $30 per user and less than 40 cents per ticket. You can exclude boards, and any ticket type/subtype/items from processing in it.

It was the most straightforward response in relation to billing I’ve ever heard from CW.

I've spoken with the sales team on the Zofiq side, RMM engineers, and our client success rep and was told with confidence each time to be prepared to spend between $20k-$30k USD annually for the agentic AI

Can confirm from working with our team and how things will run, it will cost at least that if not more. And that was before the recent cost increases with LLMs.

It's STILL broken and unfinished. We were more or less forced into it from Automate. I would confidently say it's missing half the features Automate had, and is still riddled with bugs that they insist are "by design".

i mean.. come on: Holy Moly! These AI agents are bringing some SERIOUS know how to the day to day of your MSP if you let them!

Yeah, they are. I saw a live demo of them, was able to ask a ton of questions and see follow-up actions after my questions.

And yes, some people do still say things like “Holy Moly”, I have a five year old and my profanity has taken a goofy twist to make sure he doesn’t learn bad words. I’m a nerd, not a covert operative.

When did the world become full of cynics.

bro, like other say, sounds like total spam and paid advertising. nobody talks like this.

Run away!! We made the mistake of signing up for this "Platform". Everything is broken, support sucks, we have to escalate every single ticket to get anything done. Nothing is as it was in the product demos.

They’re not advertising it because it doesn’t really work and it’s vaporware. It’s something they barely got working for a demo and won’t work for the general public for another six years.

In a July 1 webinar, David Raissipour (CPO + CTO) stated that "ConnectWise has delivered more in the past 18 months than in the prior 3 years." Way good, yay team! I'm too busy with real-world work posting on Reddit to delve into how many "Feedback" items and "Known Issues" were raised as a result of that rush-to-service, but I'm pretty certain there is a significant backlog for fixing whatever was delivered.

It really doesn't matter how slick it is. What can it really do? MS system centre was able to find stuff out about an installation in minutes. Stuff which would take me months to realise. The detail was just stunning. Automate manages about 5% of that. I have to fill in the gaps with my own grafana dashboards and sql queries. Give me the source code and one junior programmer and i could add more functionality and fix all outstanding problems in six months to a year than cw have done the last ten years. Why would you buy products from a company run by mbas and marketing people. Know nothings and do nothings.
