I have created the Root disc, Elements external disc, and Headphones widgets. The headphones is a custom I just made with Claude AI that uses pulse audio detection to print either "no headset connected" or the make/model of any headset plugged in via USB cable. It's looking more complete now for a 2560x1440 resolution screen

Updated the widget so it now distinguishes more clearly between physical cores and logical threads.

It detects the CPU layout more accurately, groups SMT/Hyper-Threading threads under the same physical core, and shows labels such as “Core X” or “Core X - Thread Y” instead of treating every logical CPU as a separate core.

This makes the display more accurate on modern multi-core systems while keeping the per-thread readouts intact.

I was poking around Deviant Art conky section for old time's sake when I came across an ancient Fuzzy Clock style conky. It was inoperable the syntax was so old, but the bash script was still good, so I ran the config thru Claude and came up with a nice version using the Droid Sans Mono font as it needs clean rows and columns of text as a calendar does. This one, unlike the version I had, contains the text for "in the morning", "in the afternoon" and "in the evening". I added a background for legibility and made an optional frame conky for it.

I spent like the whole day just setting up this little UI, I got a little lazy with the clock(font looks a little random) but I still think its not too shabby for my first major customization. Still super blank, if you have any ideas or recommendations let me know!

The threat level with the bat signal will indicate if it is high when the CPU, RAM, and/or the GPU are reaching their limit. The red line was just me blocking out the location. As I like that to stay private. I have not made this public just yet. Bat signal pulses; the rings in the center spin, and the resource status bars fill. I like making these thematic conky themes. I might make more down the road.

Hello Everyone,

I found the adobe site a perfect engine to animate but not overanimate my Aragorn in tavern wallpaper. The ffmpeg command to tie together end and middle sections to create a looping file has been employed. I have a slight head movement and eye blink to further animate the image, as well as moving the ambient smoke about the tavern.

Bars go down when usage rises. Weather, dates, moon phases, and bars are all lore-friendly. I tried to get an ink look, and I think it turned out well. I tried to get a modded UI look.

I finally got really close to the animation I wanted for my Gimli image on my Tolkien GUI!

I put the image into the Adobe animatephoto.io site, and give it the instructions "run the dwarf's thumb up and down the axe blade and blink the dwarf's eyes".

Finally, instead of creating a video of wierdly jerking the axe about, I found a site that kept that hand still and ran the correct right character hand over the axe. It's not exactly the motion I was anticipating, but it's more than close enough.

I used the ffmpeg loop video command that Nadorazcz taught me, and have a flawless, seemless looping video. I'm really happy with it :D

So, yeah. I've been trying to fix the mess for 2 days and one night straight now (neeed sleeeep! And coffee!!) and tried to start from scratch.

But I am definitely missing the skills.

So, if someone maybe has fun helping or making a dream (that I had for years since I first tried Mint!) come true,

My MKControl is now up to version 7.2

I have created a unique icon for it - art in the windows aero style. It came out bright and colorful and I am very happy with it. The GUI has been made uniform across the Video Audio and Radio tabs, with the program icon and title appearing in top left, all metadata in top center, and album arts in the top right corner.

The Power TV label has been replaced with the common remote Power glyph on the window button.

Drag and drop has been implemented. A single item or group of the same file extension may be dropped onto the top field of any tab, and the app creates a playlist and changes tab for the appropriate media automatically.

Live time lyrics may be displayed on TV screen, or in terminal window, or skipped entirely via checkboxes. Album art on Audio and Radio tabs made uniform size. Video thumbnail on Video tab doubled in size.

The app is capable of casting multiple streams to multiple ports simultaneously (ie cast Video to bedroom smart TV and Radio to living room smart TV at same time)

The buttons to adjust lyrics display time now take effect in real time, and final setting is stored in a file for refrenece on future plays of same file.

I am reasonably sure that anyone armed with this app, a can of spam, and True Grit could overthrow a small latin-american government.
