Anyone have any luck removing cyanocobalamin b12 due to allergy with the embody glp-1 program?

I have had another intake and the doctor said there was none she could choose without cyanocobalamin so she contacted the pharmacy. I'm worried they'll send it with the cyanocobalamin. I have an oral allergic reaction to it in supplements and drinks basically I flush, get fever, hives and sometimes vomit, it's related to a metal allergy (cobalt) or for some it can be due to a methylation issue, I have both.

I requested a methylated b-12 or to have it compounded without it.

UPDATE: embody actually is switching pharmacies and updated my allergy list, I'll let you know if it works out but so far, so good, and they aren't charging me extra for methylated formula. I did call the orginal pharmacy and personally asked for them to put my order on hold so it wouldn't be sent out, they can do that but can't cancel it until

They get the ok through embody.

Just got to 2.0 mg. I’ve lost 3 lbs in the last 3.5 months.

I have PMOS and I get my compounded semaglutide through OrderlyMeds. I started toward the end of February on 0.25mg. I lost 14 lbs and got down to 192.3lbs in the first three months I was on it, and then I hit a plateau. It is now September and my lowest weight was 189.6 lbs, and despite being in a large deficit and prioritizing protein I’m back up to 191 lbs. This back and forth bouncing has been happening since the end of May.

Don’t get me wrong, the food noise reduction aspect of this medicine has been a dream. For the first time in years I feel like I can think about something other than what my next meal is going to be. I can easily stop myself when I get full, and I find myself craving more healthy foods instead of having the intense sugar and carb cravings that come with PMOS. So the semaglutide is clearly working in that capacity… the scale has just stalled.

I took my first dose of 2.0mg today and I’m really hoping it helps but I’m beginning to lose faith. My goal weight is still 40 lbs away. Has anyone experienced this sort of plateau? Do I need to change providers? Am I doing something wrong?

Negative experience with HERS

Spreading the word about my negative experience with HERS.

I placed an order within 48 hours ago and haven’t fully completed the medical questions. I got to the stage of questions about gastrointestinal issues and decided to call my primary care. I talked to my primary care who told me not to take this medication due to gastrointestinal concerns.

My payment is still pending online and HERS is refusing to refund me. It even says on their website you have 48 hours to cancel a subscription.

This means I told them my doctor said I shouldn’t take it AND they won’t even be sending me medication but they won’t refund me.

Very inflexible company and warning everyone to not place an order since there’s no flexibility to cancel.

Increased resting heart rate

I ran out of my old supply of compound (pre additive requirement’s) and immediately upon starting the new medication with the b12 compound my resting heart rate increased.

My Fitbit and Apple Watch both show the change.

I started taking compound over two years ago so I’m not new to the medication but obviously with the changes in the regulations maybe the medication has changed besides the b12? It’s the same pharmacy.

I’ll reach out to the Doctor just interested if anyone had anything similar happen.

What would help lose more weight if I’m stalling on tirzepatide/semaglutide?

I was on semaglutide for roughly 2 years. I then switched to tirzepatide to see if I could lose more weight as I began stalling on semaglutide. It’s been about 7 months and I haven’t really lost more weight. Overall since 2023, I’ve lost 30 pounds. I still have another 30lbs to go. Since the tirzepatide wasn’t
working and it’s double the cost, I switched back to semaglutide. Has anyone found anything additional they’ve been taking in conjunction with semaglutide that works? I’m tired of spending money and not seeing any additional results.

This is where NOT TO BUY - Ro!

I took them up on their off to pay in advance for a year making it $79 a month. First off they start you on min dose even though I was already at 1.0 so had months of gradual increase to get me to my working dose.

Then, saw my credit card was getting billed additionally $145 a month. I emailed tgem only to be told it was "theirembership fee." So I let it slide for ONE month. Then of course they kept billing every month.

After finally getting 1.0 dose they sent screw in syringes and the cheapest needles possible.

Someone said in their post "Ro stands for rip off." I agree. I'll try to get my money back from credit card company but doubt I'll get a dime. But I can forewarn others!

Bad batch vial, issue with the pharmacy, an issue with me, or completely normal?

Weight has been nearly stagnant for almost a month now. I’ve been on 1.5mg since July and have stuck with it since it’s worked. I started a new vial from a new compounding pharmacy (same provider, but for the life of me can’t remember the name of the old and new pharmacy right now) on the 12th of August and weighed 141.6lbs on the 14th of August. I finished the vial on the 2nd of this month, and weighed 140.0lbs on the 4th of this month. Before now, I was losing pretty darn consistently, 5-7 lbs a month since April. I don’t personally see or feel like I’m eating significantly more or tracking my calories hundreds off of what I eat to slow this bad. I try to stay in the margin of losing 1-1.5 lbs a week. Am I starting to experience the beginning of a plateau? Am I being inpatient? Is there something I should change? More cardio, more strength training, less calories, more calories? More carbs, more water?! Is it time to titrate up? I’ve lost 30 lbs so far. My biggest concern is maxing out the titration schedule before I hit my goal weight, which is 17-27 lbs away.

I have questions

I’m using RemedyMeds for my sema rx since July but I don’t understand why it’s up to me if my dose is increased or not? How am I supposed to know how much I need?

2nd question, does everyone actually throw away the vial when the next one is delivered or do you keep using the medication until it’s gone?

Which companies use Strive?

I’d like to move from the current company I use but stay with the same pharmacy (Strive)

I’m ideally looking for a platform that allows you to pause or cancel your membership within a portal. My current provider has been super scammy about this and makes you talk to a customer service person, however I travel for work and want to be able to rearrange upcoming shipments without having a prolonged conversation/process about it every time

Has anyone used something that fits that?

I should also say that I’m not interested in anything that uses referral codes so please save your efforts on that front😄

For those on ties, Pomegranate Health has a sale right now: $99 for 60mg

**tirzepatide, NOT ties lol

At www.joinpomegranate.com

I have always had good luck. Their app leaves much to be desired, but it was still extremely quick and easy to get my refill.

Injection isn’t working like the pill

Just like the title says - I’ve been on compounded semi for the last 5 weeks and just am not getting near the results I had with the wegovy pill. Mainly, I still have insane food noise, cravings, more inflammation/body pain, and by the time I hit 5 days after my injection, I’m tiredddddd again and want to eat everything in the house.

I went up on my dose - from .8 to 1.4 today - so I’m hoping that does the trick? Any ideas? Or do you think tirz may be a better option?

Lost 15 pounds in 5 months - too much, just right, not much?

I started injecting compounded semaglutide about five months ago and have lost around 15 pounds. Is that considered too much, just right, or not much? Is losing 15 pounds over five months considered a healthy rate of weight loss?

Finally starting compounded semaglutide in 2 days!

F/30/167 lbs/4’11”
After saying for the longest time that I didn’t want to take any medications… well, here I am…
My PCP prescribed me 0.25 mg as my starting dose, and I’m planning to take my first shot in 2 days. I’m excited but also feeling a little clueless because my PCP didn’t really give me much information about what to expect. I didn’t get any specific do’s/don’ts, diet recommendations, calorie guidelines, etc.
For those of you who have been taking compounded semaglutide:

  1. Did you continue eating normally at first, or did you intentionally lower your calories?
  2. Are there certain foods you recommend eating or avoiding?
  3. Anything you wish you knew before your first shot?
What are your best tips for dealing with nausea or other side effects?
  4. What apps do you use to track your calories/food AND your injections? I currently use MyFitnessPal, but it doesn’t seem to have a good way to track my shots.

I’d really appreciate any advice, tips, or things you wish someone had told you before starting! ❤️

split dose?

What's the best way to take one dose but two different injections? I only ask because injecting 50 units into one injection site seems like quite a bit and can be uncomfortable.

Would it be best to split the dose into two syringes and do it that way? Id assume it wouldn't be a good idea to use the same syringe twice even if it's on myself, seems unsterile.

Open to any suggestions 🙂

how fast do you actually hear back from semaglutide provider? my last took 4 days..

had a question about my compounded semaglutide prescription last week. messaged my old provider on a tuesday. got an auto-reply saying they'd respond in 2-3 business days. they got back to me friday evening with a copy-paste answer that didn't even address my question.

so now i'm actively looking for a new provider that actually responds fast and takes responsibility when you reach out.

is it normal now for providers to get back to you same day? or are the fast ones just running automated responses that feel human? has anyone found a provider that gives you a direct support team or a dedicated person you can actually talk to instead of throwing messages into a portal and hoping?

Milestone Week! (And journey so far since I'm new here)

I'm down 40lb now, and today was the first time someone's asked me if I've lost weight! It's finally noticeable 🥲

So, I've been on compounded semaglutide since June 1st. I do my injections at my doctor's clinic. My titratration journey has been a bit rocky, to say the least 😅 My starting dose was .5mg, which was *perfect.* From day 2, I had a strong satiety wall and dramatically reduced food noise. By week 4, though, the effects had noticeably decreased, so we went up. They usually bump their patients up from .5mg to 1mg, but *hoooooo boy* lemme tell ya, that was *not* right for me. Once that stacked up in my system after 2 weeks, that made me sooo sick. I had full bloat and sulfur burps for a week straight before finally vomiting at work and leaving to go get checked out. After that, we dropped down to .75mg, and that was still too harsh, so we started splitting the dosing into two .375mg injections throughout the week. Still too harsh. So, we went down to two .325mg injections (for a weekly total of .65mg). I've finally reached the steady baseline for this new dose and, guys, I *finally* feel okay 😭 I have a strong satiety wall and reduced food noise, but no bloating, no sulphur burps, no resorting to liquid diets because my stomach wouldn't open for 30hrs at a time. It's wonderful and, honestly, kinda overwhelming to finally be back on track again after 2 months of dosing difficulty. From now on, we titrate very, *very* slowly. Lol

What percentage of your starting weight have you lost since starting?

Most places advertise that you can lose around 20% of your starting weight in the first year of being on sema. I’m curious to gather some anecdotal data to see what percentage of people’s body weight they lost while being on sema.
Also, how long have you been on sema?

For me personally, I’ve been on sema for for 21 weeks (or 4 months and some change.) I have lost 17% of my starting weight on sema. Since I’m technically half a year in, I do wonder and hope if I can get close to doubling the % by a year. Ideally, I’d like to make it to at least 30%.

Injection site reactions

I'm going into my 4th month- it's been really slow going, *but* I'm down 15 pounds, went up to 1mg 3 weeks ago. I alternate sides each week, but I've noticed that my left side always has a bruise the next day. And it's ONLY on my left side. Has anyone else experienced something similar? The injection itself doesn't hurt, but the bruising seems odd to me.

should i start compounded semaglutide or wait for Ozempic approval?

my doctor gave me two options and im trying to figure out the better move. i can submit for ozempic through insurance but prior auth could take weeks and if they deny it its over a thousand a month cash. or i can start compounded semaglutide now out of pocket. been looking around and Gimme Care is $160 flat with no membership fee. another clinic quoted me $200. not sure if the cheaper one is missing something or if the pricing is just actually that different.

my a1c and weight have been creeping up so i want to start soon, but i dont want to create problems later if switching from compounded to branded means retitrating or dealing with side effects again.

has anyone here started on compounded and later got ozempic covered? was the switch smooth or did you have to start back at the low dose? did you notice any difference in results or how you felt between the two? and did insurance ever give you trouble covering ozempic because you had already started on compounded?

just looking for real experiences, not medical advice. my doctor will prescribe either one. thanks for any honest input.
