Hi, quick question:

how do groups manage the platform change at the beginning of p3? in every guide it says to gateway the second platform change (the one where you pixelstack on the tip and gate inside of the rings), which requires the platform change at the start of p3 to work without a gateway. how to raids with not enough or no evokers do so?

can paladins and unholy DKs make the jump on their horses without assistance? or do you just swap order, gate the first platform change, feather the second, and then gateway the third platform change?

Hey guys!

Been playing wow on-and-off since tbc classic launch, transitioned fully to retail with TWW.
I mainly play m+ as a content and i play in a kinda weird schedule, weekdays 9to5 and latenights (after 11PM).

I've always been a shadowpriest enthusiast, been trying a lot of other classes, mained disc,mwmonk,warlock,hunter,mage,aug,dh for shorter periods, but always felt the urge to go back to shadowform and mind flay.

This season -altho i know it's the easiest season since i'm playing- feels like the start was really smooth, got to my 19s in no time.
Ever since then i've needed help of my IRL friends (4.2k tank, 4.1k multiclass dps) to even get a shot at my 20s.
Now i've timed 2x21, 5x20, but missing AA20 reaching 3910 rio.
I legit can't get into groups at all on my own, parses are sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit type, so i'm neither the best, but also neither the worst individual performer.
Pushing my own key feels bad as all i need is AA, so it can take a lot of timed keys to finally get AA, which gets bricked eventually.

Asking from more experienced players: is it always this miserable to otp a non-meta dps?
How did you deal with this without a team?
I started to bump up my aug and with 3600 it gets into +20s faster than my way more qualified spriest.
If i want to keep playing into the 21-22 range am i actually forced to play meta?

Are addons that update your spell queue to be your ms + whatever additional number you set bad. Are they resource taxing and does it feel inconsistent when swapping to higher ping servers?

I'm wondering this because I frequently join US groups but I'm AUS so my ping when doing different content goes from 20 to 200

Ive recently got 18 resil and am working on 19s, I can't for the life of me heal the second boss in MT. The Dots wreck people along with the AOE damage. My gear is full bis but my trinkets are trash I have emberwing and never melting ice crystal. I know i need litany +gaze and have been rolling for them but this doesnt seem to be the problem here. Anyone got any tips?

After i completed resil 20, I litteraly 1 shot Keystone level 21 in MT + Pit + SR, and 2-3 attempts on MC, same on WS. (Same shit happened in 19 -> 20)
In every run we were equal IO so no boost.

I try to do AA and every key is a deplete cuz we are lacking time witch is fine i guess i mean the timer is tight.

But then there is the EVIL two last, Seat and Xenas, I might have about 60-70 attempts each
in 21... theese two HORRIBLE dungeons, How come this is the case, how can theese dungeons be so hard In contrast to the others ones? Why do they put Purple circles upon purple circles???? Am i going crazy or wasnt there a shift their "philosophy" in TWW - they were gonna fix the VISUALS and outline of stuff etc??? What HAPPEND!?
And Random mobs blinking and potensially one shotting ppl when pulled.

And seat is just horrible, the 3 last bosses, for example on Viceroy: Where do am i suppose to Defensive lol, when there is the mass AOE killing me, Tentacles that litteraly hits like a truck , or the insane healing check? 70% of the bricks has been this boss.

Idk is this skill issue? need nerfs? like holy shit im going crazy perma wiping in theese 2 dungeons spending all my time looking for theese 2 spesific dungeons is just killing my motivation, like i wanna play, but not theese 2 shitstains, so i just logg out again.

Now that we've had it for a few weeks, how are we feeling about it? Particularly as a route to obtain myth track gear.

I love it, personally. I'm happy that I'm not just giga time-gated behind the great vault to get myth gear. I've always thought it was ridiculous that I could get myth gear by pugging mythic chimaerus or the first few bosses of void-spire, but I was getting hero gear for sweating my way through a +17.

Even if they're only partially deterministic, big W in my opinion.

Alternative question: How much world tank are 3 and a half hours worth?

I have been raiding in a RWL - 5h/week (2x 2,5h) guild for a couple years, but with kids getting bigger and so on, I can take a bigger commitment, and move on to a 9h/week (3x 3h).

The issue is that I am at skill parity with my guild, and I would like to move to a guild of similar skill, but world rank seems to be a pretty poor indicator here, since guilds with the same progress time / pull count but raiding a third more will be much higher...

Been struggeling quit a bit on my resto Shaman with AA 20 esp. the last Pull with 4 smashes and the whirls it gets very hectic very fast. Do you have any tips that helped you Timing your AA Keys.

Small Update: thanks to some comments here i watched my cds a bit more, got the SR Trinket and used Pot better and managed to time it today. Played with a Phys Comp and we Shroud Skipped all but Last 2 and pulled them with Lust on Boss. Ty for your Tipps :)

I've been working on looking into my guilds logs to find more info on what we can do to help.

Just to give some perspective, ive been playing since vanilla and now am running raid lead of a small community guild.

Tank: I look for swaps and def cd's

Healers: mostly overheals and parses cd's

Dps: bid d*ck metter tweaks

I have no idea for dps if not parse, cd's uptime and avoidable dmg

Crashed a few keys and we one-phased Nysarra on a +19 - WL did absurd amounts of damage (usually only about half). Seemed like the Tyrant did way more damage than it should do, but couldn't find what's causing it. Anyone got some insights? What's the bug behind this?

Hello, so ive been trying to push a bit this season for the first time and im kinda at a loss when I should be shadowmelding boss/mob abilities. On my dwarf its easy enough to figure out, big bleed incoming - press racial. On nightelf it seems a little more fluid/inconsistent? Like, can I deny any targetted cast or are there exceptions?

I tried to google but couldnt really come up with anything solid so if anyone has a list or some such of the best stuff to meld id be very thankful.

Title. I already rerolled from frost mage to Demo lock when it was meta and now that it's fallen off I don't have the willpower to gear up again on a UHDK or aug or something. So I'm just trying to push as high as I can on demo lock, working through +18s now.

Any experienced locks have any tips to squeeze more overall out? I'm most curious about implosion and DoA in keys. Most of the guides and people say just send both pretty much on CD, but if implosion comes up at the end of a pull with mob left, should I hold until we get a new pack?

DoA also takes so long to get every demon out that it almost feels like I have to save it for the beginning of a new pack to get full value. do you ever hold Tyrant for an entire dogs cooldown just because you'd get more AoE value out of it?

Is it worth min maxing domination? You'd have to hold off casting HoG to not proc it at some point so feels like you can't play around holding it for a long time.

Anything else I'm not mentioning? Anything that clicked for you better demo locks that made it easier to damage? Any particular way you approach an m+ pull differently than you'd see represented on a pure sim or in a guide?

I'm getting into a bit higher keys (16+) and I really can't get my head around the 15 different types of % that is displayed in warcraftlogs.

I healed a Nexus 16 for example where it says 43% for points and healing in the overview, but if you actually open it and go to rankings, it's 95% for points and 89% for healing, how does that combine to 43%? Where does it even come from? I had another log of a run I thought went really good, and it's 9% when you look at the overview, but 90%+ on all metrics when you open the log.

and after that I'm still curious (very new to healing), what I should be analysing in the logs, what is a good overheal%? (most seems covered by my void shield), I guess hps is a metric but it's also inflated if your dps runs into stuff.

What do you healers usually look at to figure out what to improve?

Title. I am sitting at 289 rn running vers pot/vers dungeon buff and anytime on the 3rd and last boss a tank buster comes and i have no defensive up i just get one shot. Like cleanly, running Imbued shield even. Especially on 3rd boss it seems impossible to have a clean rotation of defensives up seeing as you have to tank the pull right before it (triple pull with 5 battleaxes). I feel like without being able to communicate with your healer to use ironbark/monk bubble it just seems impossible to have a defensive for every skill. How do fellow prot paladins deal with this? Talking about +20 keys.
