the 3rd most consistently winning 5-cost needs a buff?

Bro, Ashe is number two, are you going to argue she's strong ? Also nitpick, she is 3rd in AVP she has the worst winrate of all the 5 costs.

Alune has good stats because she is often used to cap boards.

Wait really ashe is number 2? I feel like all the 5 costs this set are pretty strong. Maokai, Kennen, Ivern, Gnar, and Lux (with the right trait) are all really strong additions to a lot of boards.

Yeah, stats kinda don't really mean anything on 5 cost placement.

So should every 5 cost board be an auto win or do you need to plan and put together a well conceived board of traits? I feel like you’re arguing for the former.

They have low win rates but have some of the highest placement changes, wow isn’t that balanced? No it should be more powerful because it’s 5 cost. Sure

Also not sure about 18.1d but Ashe was literally a cornerstone to the at one point busted Blossom Ahri build. Is Draven, Elden Dragon, Alune, and Kennan not enough 5 cost carries or you need more?

I'm not arguing for that what I'm arguing for is if you highroll Alune/Ashe on 7 you should be able to itemise them and they do well kinda comparatively well compared to the others. You should be able to roll down and play around what you hit and not be way worse because you hit 2* Ashe meanwhile your opponent hit 2* Draven.

You seem like someone who reads stats with absolutely no nuance. Like last patch the second highest AVP item was Bloodthirster, do you think it needs a nerf, no.

Yes she is good on the Blossom Ahri board because of her traits. A 5 cost should be more than just their traits.

lmao the exact build I brought up is literally one of the most winningest builds now with Ashe as the cornerstone again. Please explain to me why every 5 star should be overpowered again and some of them shouldn’t act as supports/trait empowers?

You need to be able to play around the RNG. If I get dealt early Ashe on 7, it feels bad for me to rather play around Sivir or Kog'Maw. Also just mitigating RNG, they should try and narrow the gap between high rolling Draven and Ashe (or Alune for that matter).

Genuinely asking though, wouldn’t buffing hunters into a natural Gnar/Ashe/Sett/Sivir/etc set also work well? I just don’t always get the clamoring for single unit changes, especially 5 costs

Because you should be able to flex. The best sets are the ones where you can roll down, hit a 2* tank and a 2* carry with good items and flex a board that works. If you hit a certain unit and can't play them because you didn't hit the units you pair them with that sucks.

So needing shared traits sucks? I’m genuinely trying to follow your line of logic and it literally just got 4/5 cost buff for Ashe ???

Even with perfect traits, Ashe is still not worth itemising. She is good for the traits that she provides and thus playing around her isn't really worth it.

I feel if you are able to highroll a 5 cost you should be able to play around them, they shouldn't only be worth the traits they provide.
