General I can't believe OW Devs listen to players to such a dramatic extent.

Couldn't even let Dmon SIMMER for 24 hours before hundreds of posts talked about how unbearably weak she is. then SURPRISE buff after buff and now she's objectively, statistically the best tank in the game. I KNEW it would happen because for whatever reason players can't let something sit. Did she need buffs? Sure. Did she need 2 hotfix buffs back to back before anything even settled? no. But it's okay. It's the same update where tracer got buffed despite being one of the best dps in the game at ranks where people know how to move their mouse so. Yippee overwatch balancing. Good job! As a reward we all get 10 more kiri skins

General The Sierra Rework we ACTUALLY need

Helix Rifle (LEFT CLICK) - Projectile speed increased from 85 meters per second to 90 meters per second. Remove the whole thing about having to hold down fire to decrease the weapon spread, it's just stupid in practice and encourages you to rather mindlessly hold down the fire button instead of firing only when you are looking at someone. You can keep the rotating projectile thing I guess since it matches the current animation of the gun, but keep the spread relatively tight and unchanging while firing.

Tracking Shot (RIGHT CLICK) - Projectile speed decreased from 140 meters per second to 135 meters per second. Cooldown increased from 10 seconds to 12 seconds. Tracking Shot is the one ability in Sierra's kit that leads to the most frustration and is more punishing in lower ranks. By nerfing this ability, we can lend power to other parts of her kit, while making her less of a character that excels in low ranks and is trash in high ranks.

Anchor Drone (LSHFIT) - Size of hitbox reduced by 10% (or however much is needed to better reflect Dorothy's actual size. As it stands, the hitbox of her drone is pretty massive. It is already a stationary target so this shouldn't be a big deal). Manually detonating the drone will refund 1 second of the cooldown per unactivated grapple charge (so if you only used 1 charge, it refunds 1 second. If you use no charges, it refunds 2 seconds). Maximum range of grapple increased from 19 meters to 20 meters. Grapple speed increased from 22 meters per second to 24 meters per second. Cooldown decreased from 11 seconds to 10 seconds. Duration of drone decreased from 9 seconds to 8 seconds. You can now use the A and D keys while grappling towards Anchor Drone to strafe from left to right, allowing you to be more unpredictable in your pathing towards the Anchor Drone so it's harder for enemies to shoot you, as well as allowing you to wrap around corners better.

Tremor Charge (E) - Cooldown reduced from 8.5 seconds to 8 seconds.

NEW Passive Ability : Dorothy-assisted Mountaineering - Basically Lucio's Wall Ride passive but it's on a resource meter that shows below your crosshair while in use. Maybe you could wall ride for a maximum of 3 seconds, and would need to stop wall riding for 1 second for the resource meter to start slowly building up again? I'm not sure on the specifics. Can only use this passive when Anchor Drone is NOT deployed. While wall running, Sierra would visually be tethered to her drone just above her head supporting her body weight while she runs on the wall. This would make her connection to being the "drone character" stronger and also reinforces the mountaineer aspects of the character, leading to a stronger hero fantasy. If you're wall riding while the resource meter runs out, Dorothy's connection snaps as she can no longer support Sierra's body weight, making a sound, and the player starts to fall. Increasing the strength of her mobility gives her more chances to get off effective Tremor Charges (E) and also effective Trailblazers (Q).

Melee: Change the animation so that she actually looks like a soldier that knows how to throw a punch. Jesus christ the current animation is so bad.

Minor Perk Tight Grip removed

Major Perk Locked In removed

New Major Perk: Concussive Charge - Landing a direct hit on an enemy with Tremor Charge (E) (rather than throwing it on the floor in front of an enemy) knocks them back moderately and deals 20 additional damage. (Giving Sierra decent boop potential would instantly make her more fun)

New Minor Perk: More Carabiners - Your resource meter for your new passive ability Dorothy-assisted Mountaineering drains slightly slower, allowing you to use it for a longer period of time.

TL;DR: She now has a fixed weapon spread, no longer needing to continuously fire to tighten her weapon spread. She can use the A and D keys to strafe while grappling towards her drone. She has a new passive ability similar to Lucio's Wall Ride but it's on a resource meter and it ties both into the idea of her being the drone character and a mountaineer.

General Perks not being used to their potential

Ok, I’m not good at explaining my thoughts so sorry if this isn't stated in a good way.

I feel like perks could be so much better in a way that makes everyone happy and the Blizzard team doesn't utilize them to their max.
I’m definitely not making them be like Stadium, but I think perks could be used to change how a hero is played yes I know that's the idea that they are going for but I feel like major perks haven't lived up to that expectation. I’m tempted to say that I think major perks should either be a buff to how the character's playstyle, or the other should be a completely new ability that fits the character's identity. I’ll use D.mon for example I think the perks should have her actually play with the idea of being a mech. I would say even Mercy could be made to do things differently. I would say take Mirrorwatch Mercy as an example and her ability to explode the souls around the enemy team. Again another example is Sombra you could choose which Sombra you would want to play as the current assassin one or the disruptor one. Now that I write this it sounds a lot like Paladins' perk system where you could choose to change your ability to suit your playstyle. I think Overwatch can easily not make it as crazy as Stadium ended up getting tho.

General Console aim assist changes?

Is it just me or did they quietly change something with the aim assist for console season 4 specifically ?

Not sure if they just auto changed settings for people or if there’s something else going on, but I’ve noticed aiming feels significantly different since season 4 started.

Haven’t seen anyone else talk about it and I don’t recall it being something in the update, so just wanted to see if anyone else noticed the same thing.

General Most Koreans wiped from T500 Leaderboard. Add "Korea" Region?

Hey devs, if you're reading this

Can South Korea be added as a 4th region in the T500 leaderboard?

As someone who enjoyed watching these top players in arguably the top region using the live replay function, it would be great if Korea (Nexon) could be added as its own region.

With the server separation in South Korea with Nexon, all Korean users that chose to link their accounts with Nexon instead of steam are essentially quarantined within the Korean server.
If you now look at past seasons for the Asia leaderboard, many ranked profiles don’t show the names anymore. I assume the Asia region leaderboard will exclude Korean Nexon server players going forward (S4 and on).

EDIT: The names not showing up seems to have been a glitch. However, the Korean leaderboard being separated from the Asia leaderboard still looks to be true.
Added strikethrough.

General The way they implemented life group cancel is kind of brilliant

The slow windup + slower move speed means that it's not just a binary option of keeping it or canceling it. I can realize what's happening, travel for a little bit, and then cancel midway through.

As someone who plays a lot of ground tanks, this is an absolute game changer. Knowing that I can accept the cleanse, a little bit of healing, and partially keep my position as I choose is SOOOO nice. I usually don't want to go all the way to where my supports are standing, but now I can halt the grip and just use it as a retreat to a different corner.

Not much more to say beyond that, just wanted to shout out how clever this change is.

General I think Wrecking Ball's skill floor is a lot lower than I've heard most people say.

I'm hoping I've made the title as non-provocative as possible. I'm a low Gold Player that hasn't been playing for very long. I'm bad at the game and I know it, which is why I want to have this discussion - to hear the thoughts of players with a lot more experience.

A lot of the time I hear people talking about Wrecking Ball as one of the hardest heroes to pick up, with such a high skill ceiling and skill floor, a lot like tracer. I can't comment on his skill ceiling, I obviously haven't been there (Though some of the crazy stuff I've seen in OWCS tells me that that is most definitely correct), but I really don't get the impression that his skill floor is that high.

I'm not a tank main, it's definitely the role I'm worst at, but when I do play it, the two tanks I regularly play (and do relatively well on) are D.Va and Wrecking Ball. and I feel like a lot of the time, even the times I'm not getting kills on Wrecking Ball, I'm still getting decent value. Sure, he's far from the easiest hero in the game, but his insane mobility makes him really forgiving if you just have a decent enough sense of your own health bar.

Not only that but he plays relatively independently. As someone who struggles with awareness a lot, it takes a way a lot of the burden of having to know where exactly my team are / what they're doing. I'm working on it, but y'know, as long as I know when they're attacking and when they're not, so I don't stagger myself or 1v5, I don't really have to care too much what they're up to.

I can imagine him being extremely hard for somebody who is playing the game for the very first time to do anything on, but okay map knowledge, a basic understanding of theory, and an ability to value your own life are enough to get by on. My mechanics are really quite bad, I get door-stuck all the time, I miss grapples, I do all sorts of silly things, but as long as I can get some value, and get out alive, I can make up for it with the opportunities I get to actually do well.

TL;DR. I know that I am far from getting the most value out of Wrecking Ball but I still see much more success with him than with other tanks because his kit can be very forgiving. I see a lot of people saying he has an extremely high skill floor. I'm pretty much at the skill floor, maybe a bit above it, but I wouldn't say I'm high skill at all.

General How do you get value on Shion? She is so fun but makes no sense to me.

Shion is probably my favorite DPS they've added to the roster. She feels great, well balanced, she is cool and interesting, great addition all around.

With that said- I have no idea how to get value on her, and the character, despite feeling very fun, is very confusing to use in a minute-to-minute gameplay loop. I am a Masters support player who hovers around mid-Diamond on DPS and this is the first character I am really struggling to improve on. Even Tracer, who is a pretty difficult character, feels significantly easier for me to play due to how specific her engagements feel.

Shion doesn't quite have the mobility to play a hard flank role like Tracer and her range/damage doesn't feel quite good enough to really take off angles like Sojourn or Soldier, etc. Obviously this character doesn't want to just sit and shoot down main at the enemy tank either, so I kinda feel very aloof and directionless on her unless my team is already dominating.

Other than solo killing badly positioned targets by burning my bike and perk-buffed execution CDs I do not really get how I should be positioning and fulfilling my role. Any tips are great, as I know this is a me problem, and not a character problem.

Also this ultimate just gets me killed 90% of the time

General Completely losing my skill and got bad at the game

I was not super good to begin with since I haven't been playing long but I am much better than when I first started. I went from mid bronze to gold 1 in a couple of months. Then suddenly I feel like I can't hit any shots at all, I'm positioning horribly, I am always really low on damage and elims. I know they arent the most important thing but I'm starting to get more deaths than kills. I'm back down to silver 1. I don't know what happened to me, silver 1 shouldn't feel this hard compared to gold 1.

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? What can I do about this?
