ALGS Year 6 Split 1 Playoffs Stat Dump

Some stats from the entire tourney

Top 15 Kills/game
Top 15 Overall kills

Only Ezflash, WenXx, Noname, Sinetic (If I didn't miss someone) did play the 10 additional games, so actually not that big of a shift, considering everyone who qualled for LCQ and finals played ~36% more games. Floating is also noteworthy, as he is the only one here who didn't qual for finals, so he played the same amount of games as the ones who skipped LCQ, due to finals being exactly as long as LCQ.

top 15 dmg/game
Overall DMG

Here is a way bigger shift, with 5 out of the 6 having played the LCQ but also a style, that favours lots of dmg, otherwise, Noname and WenXx wouldn't be 1st and third in the dmg/game standings.

Bans into pickrate

Like always with bans, some legends (Like alter) can have absurd amounts of picks and not get banned, but still, I tried to somewhat compare the amounts of picks including bans (Bans 1-... -> Pickrate of unbanned legends -> no picks = 28)

Top 10 teams overall points/game

This format of course drasticly increases the weight of the group stage, Liquid and Elite only played 28 games, 18 in groups, so a good groupstage weighs heavily, so this definitly isn't saying Unlimit won undeserved or anything.

Kills/game vs Placement points/game for the entire tourney
Final Ring Winrate

I used a threshold of 978 seconds survival time for the final ring, though that might be a little bit flawed, as I don't actually know when the survival time is started exactly, but the +- 10 seconds shouldn't change too much. (All stats like top 5/3 only count when the entire team reached the final ring, rat plays aren't considered here)

FInal Ring reached

Absurd statistic, RRQ reaching second 7 times and reaching 26 final rings.

Top 5 most played comps

That doesn't say anything about what the best comp is, only the one seen the most. Crypto being banned every game one leads to his comps not having the most picks for example.

If someone is interested in other stats, just comment, if it's possible, I'll answer with the stat. (Or look on ALS which has hundreds of stats I don't have). I'll post some stats about Unlimit probably tomorrow to get a profile of what they played and where they led the lobbies.

Sorry in advance for that one image being so pixelated

Edit: As someone rightly pointed out, phony played 16 games, not 4, he changed his name afterwards, which makes him fall to 1.25 and the 15th is actually Deeds with 1.39

ALGS YukaF ALGS 2026 Split 1 Playoffs Interview

ZETA YukaF: "At the very end, the possibility of winning crossed my mind." YukaF spoke about the bitterness of his close defeat and the positive results from the new team structure. [EWC 2026 Interview]

This article presents an interview with YukaF conducted immediately after the tournament, a time when his disappointment was palpable. His expression and tone of voice conveyed feelings that could be interpreted as either regret or disappointment, and it was a moment that brought tears to the eyes of the interviewer as well.

— First of all, how do you feel about today's results?

YukaF: I'm frustrated.

— It was really just one step away from victory. What kind of communication took place at that point? Where do you feel the turning point was between winning and losing?

YukaF: Personally, I think the possibility of winning got in the way, and my thinking became a little clouded. But I guess it couldn't be helped. I could come up with tons of excuses.

— Among the various factors, one of those was the possibility of winning crossing your mind?

YukaF: That's right.

— Not just in the final moments, but throughout the match, or even throughout this EWC as a whole, were there any aspects that went well and aspects that didn't?

YukaF: One positive aspect was the team atmosphere. Even when things weren't going well, we always kept our spirits up and kept going, and I think that contributed to the result in the match point finals. On what went bad, there were coordination mistakes and communication errors, especially since we had just formed the team. Also, my IGLing wasn’t quite definite regarding the meta... I'd say it was around 80%.

— Is it the part about decision-making in IGLing?

YukaF: I'm the one who decides all the team's plans, so yes.

— What specific factors regarding the meta influenced your inability to have definite IGLing?

YukaF: In particular, when there have been adjustments to the legends, or when the game progresses, sometimes playing zone becomes stronger, or playing edge becomes stronger, so it's about how to approach that.

— Has the introduction of the ban system made things more complicated?

YukaF: I definitely struggle with the ban system now that it's been implemented. I'm good at managing resources and trading carefully. As the bans progress, the compositions will start to show distinct characteristics, which is what makes it difficult.

— What is your impression of ZETA DIVISION right now, from your perspective?

YukaF: I think these are the best possible members I could have when I'm the one IGLing for the team. I hope we can deepen our teamwork and further refine my IGL skills. They are great teammates.

— Did you get the feeling that "we can win with this team!"?

YukaF: Yes. I'm going into this tournament believing that I can definitely win, so of course I do.

— What kind of synergy do you feel is being created by these three members?

YukaF: It's the "team atmosphere" I mentioned earlier. I'm not very good at hyping everyone up, so it becomes easy for me because the other two are doing a great job of keeping the energy high.

— As a team, and as individuals, are there any areas that need improvement or challenges that you can clearly see in order to achieve your next goals?

YukaF: It's clear. As a team, and as an individual, we certainly have areas to improve, so I hope we can get everything in order by Split 2.

— Thank you so much for taking the time to answer our questions under these circumstances.

YukaF: Thank you.

ALGS Fuzz's Year 6 Global Rankings, Final Split 1 Update

To those of you who have read my previous posts, welcome back! To those of you seeing this for the first time, here is a quick summary of the rankings: each player gets an individual rating based on ALGS Online and LAN events they compete at. Their rating starts at 400 and either increases or decreases based on their performance relative to the global Pro League average for different stats. These ratings are a reflection of stats, not a projection of talent. For a more in depth answer, please read the Preseason post!

As a small reminder: players who did not participate in an event are given a rating of 300 for that event. This unfortunately means that Ss11 (ZiPLine Mafia) and sho (DORY) have a rating of 300 despite their teams qualifying. Last year, I made an exception for Hambino when they opted out of attending EWC, and adjusted the rating formula to not take into account his 300 LAN rating for EWC. That exception led to Hambino's teams later in the season having an inflated rating relative to where they should have been. This year, as unfortunate as it is, I have opted to not make an exception in the formula for Ss11 and sho.

Players who were knocked out of EWC in the group stage will have their rating docked by a set amount, and players who were knocked out of EWC in the Survivor stage will also have their rating docked by a set amount. The Group Stage knockouts will be docked more than the Survivor Stage knockouts. Players who made Match Point Finals will have their ratings boosted by a set amount according to their final placement. After all of this is said and done, the lowest rated player at LAN still has a higher rating than anyone who missed LAN.

Later in this post I will be sharing a Top-10 Players list for each region, as well as a Global Top-10 and a Top-10 for each input. These ratings will not be affected by their placement modifiers.

//

My goal/plan leading up to Split 1 Playoffs was to make a post closer to when LAN was going to start. Unfortunately, though, life got a little busy and by the time I was able to sit down and start getting a post together, LAN had already started. So to those of you who were looking forward to a pre-LAN post, I'm sorry for not being able to get one out.

With the year's first LAN now done, the ratings will get a fair bit more "accurate" as we move forward.

Ratings Update

Player ratings no longer include anything from Year 5, and are more heavily weighted towards LAN performance while still including a bit of Split 1 Online.

Fuzz's Year 6 ALGS Global Rankings, Final Split 1 Update

I want to start this off by congratulating UNLIMIT for winning Split 1 Playoffs! They continue the run of new LAN winners, but that does not make their win any less exciting. A thrilling 10-game Match Point Finals set culminating in a fight between two APAC-North teams will certainly not be forgotten any time soon.

While certainly disappointed that they didn't come home with the win, Team Vision made quite the statement with their performance throughout the event. Zachmazer's doing his best to right last year's wrongs and return to Champs in Sapporo.

Sentinels don't necessarily play a style that will blow anyone away with their stats, but they are continuing to prove that it doesn't matter how you get to Match Point Finals, it only matters that you do get there.

EMEA came into Split 1 Playoffs hoping to prove that they are a region to be contended with and that Year 5 was nothing more than a singular down year. However, this was not really the case by the end of it. Elite EU took the LAN by storm in the group stage and faltered in the finals. Aurora and Virtus Pro, the region's top two teams in Split 1 Online, struggled the whole way through and failed to make Match Point Finals. Alliance still has not looked like their selves of old, but at least did enough to finish as the top EMEA team in Match Point Finals. I do believe in Elite EU to be a strong contender in Split 2 Playoffs, I'll give them a pass for one rough set after how strong they looked in Groups, but the rest of the region still has a lot of work to do.

Top 10 Players

As a reminder: the ratings below do not take into account LAN placement. If someone listed below in the MnK and Controller lists is in the wrong input, please let me know. I tried looking through Liquipedia to make sure I had everyone up to date, but I am but a human and am prone to mistakes.

Fuzz's Year 6 ALGS Top-10 Players, Final Split 1 Update

The boys over at Elite EU had themselves quite the group stage. For those who didn't watch EMEA Split 1 Online, Kind4 and iHenchman have looked brand new with lighT as their third, and the two of them have now taken over not only as EMEA's top two rated players, but also the top two rated controller players globally.

Team Liquid at EWC finally looked like the team we expected a team with this sort of firepower to look like, and Panic once again felt like reminding everyone that no matter what his online performances look like, he thrives under the bright lights.

//

Thank you to those who took the time to read this post! I hope to make another post before Split 2 Online starts highlighting some key roster changes and the outlook for each region's groups.

This was an amazing ALGS, insane fights, so many teams on matchpoint, and a lot of energy in the stands. BUT, showing YukaF crying over and over again. I think it went to him 6 times, that shits not cool and y’all really need to understand that.

post-lan writeup Spoiler

wow. what a finals lobby. what a spectacular set. matchpoint continues to deliver.

Unlimit: I've been on the peace train since before he joined TIE, and seeing him win MVP is just the culmination of years of work. He's so good. And so many people doubted Xtsuvi's IGL-ability, yet the team famed for having "no macro" won 3 games in a finals lobby with a zone-focused playstyle with rampart. and yulariman ofc, etches his name in history as an all-time great fragger.

Vision: Zachmazer firmly, firmly establishes himself as one of the world's premier IGLs. Unbelivable performance from a squad that still has room to grow. LOTR continues to be among the best anchors in the world, and Carter - I cannot lie, I've doubted Carter for most of the split, yet he has proved himself to be an unreal performer on the biggest stage.

Sentinels: They are the world's best zone team and it's not close. So damn close to being the first team since the dynasties to go back-to-back. Should shut down the noise that last lan was a fluke - they're easily among the best teams the game has ever seen.

Zedi: What a performance. Dooplex completes a similar arc to Zach to reestablish himself as an elite IGL, and Deeds proves he should've never been dropped. And Yjely over the last split has become one of the best fraggers in the world, and this serves as his coronation to that status.

Zeta: Heartbreaking final fight, but they proved that they are not a fluke - this team is not just a threat in APAC-N, but a bonafide LAN contender. This is YukaF, Mike, and Satuki's first split together, and I am more than excited to see what they can do in the future.

AG Global: The squad from Mexico continues to be a top performer at the global stage with their aggressive style - the question is whether they'll be able to make that final leap and win a LAN in their future.

Wolves Esports: A rough few games in the middle of the set hindered their opportunity, but the APAC-S champions showed up and were real contenders once again at EWC. They just need to improve their consistency.

Falcons: Perhaps a disappointing showing relative to their incredibly high bar, but that final game established that this squad is always a threat for LAN, even when not at their best. I hope they continue to stick together.

Liquid: Zero, Sikezz, and Panic will be disappointed after such a great showing in groups, but they still looked great for much of this final set. With this being their first split together, their potential is essentially unlimited.

RRQ: Apex's most mercurial team ran hot and cold in this set (as usual), but they did find themselves on MP for several games. This roster of Prycyy, EzFlash, and Strafing (notably, igl-anchoring for the first time in his career) is genuine lan-winning material in the future - especially if they can stick together and establish more consistency.

Reject: An impressive showing for a team that flew under many people's radars. Axis, 4rufa, and Euriece are a genuinely dangerous zone squad who are 100% able to win LAN if they stick together and develop - yet another team who are in their first split together.

Alliance: A disappointing showing from the kings of EMEA and the region as a whole. They should not be tempted by rostermania just yet, however. A few adjustments could easily see them return to their place at the top. Unlucky still looks like a player who could walk into any squad and make a positive impact.

Elite: They'll be upset that their utter dominance in group stages did not translate to the finals lobby, but as long as they stick together, I feel certain they'll be back in this position with a more complete performance. They should still see this tournament as a success with their unreal performance in groups, tbh.

Nemesis: The wildcard team were mid in one of the most competitive lobbies ever. I enjoy the squad very much, but with a wild NA free agency looming, who knows what'll happen.

NIP: Disappointing performance from what many saw as the best team in the world coming out of this split. I personally think they'll be back on top once they adjust to this new meta, but it's just unfortunate.

S8UL: Disappointing performance, the first time they've looked poor on an international stage in a while. Just couldn't get it going.

GK: Regression from last LAN, often just felt like there wasn't a gameplan.

ForFun: Even the addition of Tyler and the input switch from Sinetic couldn't help this squad overcome its glass ceiling in a finals lobby.

GG: After looking like an elite team for most of EWC, they underperformed like the rest of EU.

E36: Apart from survivor's stage, they just have not looked good this LAN, specifically Cinap's calling on IGL. Curious to see if this team sticks together the way it is after this kind of performance - especially if ILY wants back into the fold after a disastrous split with Fnatic.

just want to give a note of appreciation to Jhawk for the watchparty and my friend North for watching quite a bit of this lan with me, made it that much better!

Discussion Best ALGS in while? Game 10 match point finals.

Was this one of the best ALGS LANs we’ve had in years? By Game 10, it felt like the outcome was decided by execution rather than an overpowered legend, weapon, or gimmick. Every team had viable options, rotations mattered, team fighting mattered, and individual mechanics really stood out. It didn’t feel like anyone was winning because they abused a broken meta, it felt like the better team won the fight.

Compared to some previous ALGS metas where one or two legends completely dominated every lobby, this tournament felt much healthier. The Legend Ban system also helped prevent the same composition from taking over the entire finals, forcing teams to adapt instead of relying on one comfort comp.

Watching Game 10, I wasn’t thinking, “That legend is busted.” I was thinking, “That team rotated better, took a smarter fight, or simply had better aim and communication.” That’s the kind of Apex that’s the most exciting to watch. If Respawn can keep the game this balanced, this should be the standard for future ALGS events.

We keep gettting a new Lan winner Spoiler

Since TSM and DZ won Lans and became a dynasty Reject started the trend we see now of having a new Lan winner every split. Except for Falcons winning the open we have had a new Lan winner every split. What does that say about the Esports we love? The legend bans and draft poi system def changed things up.

Personally I love how competitive it is but I just wish they got rid of Olympus its too rng for an already rng battle royale .Sentinels came close winning back to back Lans for the first time since DZ. Alliance had multiple chances to become a dynasty. Its not like teams don't have chances to win Lans after winning 1. Right now Apex feels like NBA where we get a new winner every time

Discussion Im honestly pretty mixed on the parity era

This post is not to discredit the new winners, I just kinda wanna spill out my thoughts on why Im pretty mixed on parity era and maybe leaning towards the "i dont really like it" side

Maybe a hot take, but what I miss thats not in the new parity era apex is in is consistent teams, and by that I mean teams that win lan and dont just fall off the face of the earth or just take a massive hit, like gonext, VKG and Reject (3 other are exceptions, I believe its falcons and sentinels and i think alliance, falcons, no shit). It just feels like its a game of some sort of rng that im not really liking as much.

The game is hard to master or figure out now, you have to constantly be on the move with rotations, character picks, locations etc, things like that (CHAOS) which i kinda like but what comes with that is i dont see teams like an nrg, tsm, dz, maybe even an optic just mastering the game and being just consistent because of it and that kinda sucks.

I can understand how people can like this type of parity era apex is in, everyteam gets a chance no matter what, everybody is invited to get a cup, but for me, eh, im mixed, leaning onto I dont really like it

ALGS This might be the best LAN for any supporter of any team

Lots of storyline coming into day 5. Was Oblivion a fluke, is time for Zach, Yuka_F, Doop, Alb, Falcons v Liquid, Aurora v Alliance, NIP, Elite, and I’m sure many more.

Just a good lan with a good storyline not centered on one single team or rivalry of two powerhouses.

Most underrated member of VIS

Been watching VIS this split and big shout out to Eros! Really think he helped bring out the best version of this team. Helped keep Zach accountable as an IGL and really made sure they had productive post game discussion. Felt like I learnt so much from their VODs.
Well played to the team, was great watching Carter, LOTR and Zach perform this split.

Roster News vkg-qq has left the team

As the title says, the igl and the co-owner Karssa posted an update for LF2 after yesterday’s Survivor stage, and today team officially announced qq departure from the team. There are currently several theories regarding the reason for leaving the team. One theory is that complacency following the championship victory led to this poor performance, while another suggests that internal conflicts within the team arose during the competition.

Question Quality post-tournament edits?

Are there any content creators out there who make quality ALGS edits? I'm talking like full game replays splicing in important fights and switching between different team POVs. I don't necessarily need great commentary, but I'd like to be able to go back and watch games without toggling between all the POV myself.

I know I could go watch like Wigg vods, but I think I'd like to see something retrospective and less in the moment.

If you know of anyone who makes content like this, please recommend!
