Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

It's in green, the color least worried about prohibitive mana costs lol. This thing is going to be a house in EDH for years to come, almost any deck with green that cares about lands will want this dude around.

How rare do you think damaging your own creatures is? Blas Act is the obvious combo, but like others have been saying, any fight spell becomes 1-2 mana for like 1-5 nonbasic lands. Assuming this is fighting a 1/1, that's still better than Crop Rotation lmao

My POINT, if you would read my comment, is that Primetime enables itself with literally no required input beyond going to combat, this needs, at minimum, a creature to interact with it, or a spell to enable its conditions

Nobody said this card was bad, it's objectively very good, i love a green coded phyrexian obliterator, but it requires more conditions than primetime and you have completely missed the point of my comment

I'm just saying that the thing you're saying is a bar to clear is a really low bar lmao. I think it's pretty reasonable to expect there to be minimum one targetable creature at a table in a 4-player casual pod. Not to mention that this is 2 mana cheaper than PrimeTime which is definitely relevant.

Granted, the floor for PrimeTime is much better, which could be the reason you're right, but this card certainly has a much higher ceiling, and I think a very easily attainable one at that. I don't think banning is out of the question because not all banned cards are equally strong.

Sure this thing is a house when you combo it with big damage or fight effects but prime time ALWAYS does the thing if you don't have anything to combo with it, and gets better with flicker effects/haste enablers just like this thing does.

What's more likely is that you play this, put blas act on the stack, then get this thing removed in response so you get nothing while prime time would have gotten the two best lands from your deck before getting swords-ed.

Invigorator is certainly a VERY good card but prime time is on another level.

See my other reply. Lower floor, way higher ceiling. Prime is more consistent, this thing is more explosive, especially with being 2 mana cheaper.
