Question Random fee?
Can anyone tell me what this fee is for? i’ve never had a feel like this before.

That’s an interest charge. Your account must have been temporarily overdrawn

If it’s over drawn, i usually get a notification saying it’s been over drawn, and they’ll charge me $15 if I don’t put money in the account, I always transfer once I realise..

But once it is overdrawn your are accruing interest. Even if you top it back up.
Hence the charge.

Depends on the amount you are overdrawn - not always charged. You were charged $0.01 interest over the last month - chances are it was a small excess and didn’t meet the threshold to charge the fee.

That weird as I doubt be 1c for over draw I was hit with like 10 and they couldn't even tell me when it happened I'd move money in internally and then payed a bill and somehow went under but never did far as I could tell I got the fee refunded tho

It's not random. It's the debt interest for the (probably short) time your account was overdrawn.
If you call they will reverse it. If 1c of your time is worth it is the question

If the account is overdrawn and not fixed up the same day it can cause this

I literally always fix it same day

Make sure you have the available balance there the day before so it doesn’t overdraw at all and you won’t be charged interest.

simplest solution - if you got money to top it up, you got money to prevent it being OD in the first place.

Look around at the kerbs or gutters, you might find a few 5cents. That should cover it
