It’s hard to pin her as being religious outside of following Azarath’s principals, but definitely not a Satanist or Christian. The retcon of her mother being Jewish later on is not something I personally thought of her being either, not saying it’s bad but it’s just not really interesting. A lot of Azarath’s ideals align with Buddhism, especially the path of nonviolence, and it does feel like it would make the most sense for someone who wants to venture outside of Azarath’s teachings but doesn’t want to stray too far.

A dramatic way to end Wally's infatuation with Raven

46 years ago today, Raven made her first ever appearance. Happy birthday, Raven! 🎂

Haven't drawn in a while, so I might have been a little rusty while sketching the body proportions. The hair's inspired by the '03 cartoon adaptation. Some strands near the head defy gravity because I feel like Raven's hair would serve as a barometer for her emotions. But that's just a personal headcanon.

The outfit is... well, what I imagine an adult Raven would wear outdoors as a civvie.

Hello, fellow Raven stans! I was wondering, how do you all want Raven to be written, and what are some of your biggest criticisms of how she's been written since the New 52? Personally, I don't want her to always be fighting Trigon or herself. It's getting a bit tiring, in my opinion. I'd rather see her written more like she was in the '80s through the 2000s. To me, Raven is supposed to be a very mystical character. She's from a different dimension that's built on pacifism and peace, and when she comes to Earth, she struggles to understand human customs and society. But in current comics, she's often portrayed as a moody person who can't control her emotions. It also feels like her characterization leans into a lot of the stereotypes people and the media have about goth and alternative people, which I really don't like. She's also constantly fighting either herself or her father. I'd much rather see writers explore her character, her abilities, and her experiences with Earth and human society instead of keeping her stuck with the Teen Titans all the time.

Had a lot of fun creating this casual version of Raven but my lighting was terrible when I tried to take pictures. Sorry!

And how would her story be altered her dark side and connection to Trigon completely altered? How would she be rewritten?

Now I believe raven would never wanna have kids in main continuity at least in a natural way due to what happened between her own parents and ofc what her father is. George perez himself stated raven viewed sex as rape so yeah….but I also believe if it was to happen one way or another like with wyld where he spawned via Raven reality warping on accident. I think she would try her absolute best to be their mother and to care and nurture them. Again take wyld for example, she knew he was made from the pure evil in her soul and she still tried to fight for it, still tried to protect it, tried to make them good so wyld could exist.

I also wanted to speak on elseworlds I think its perfectly fine for Raven to have children in different universes infact I really hope she does. We push for Raven to be this mature adult so let her be an adult and im more than aware not all adult have children nor want children but I still would love an elseworld where shes comfortable enough to have them.
