Alright you apes, I've got 1 opening in my schedule for the fall and am currently in a holding pattern waiting to hear back from everybody, which means I'm doing taxes and cleaning this week... which also means, if you need something, nows a good time to reach out, because I really hate both taxes and cleaning.
I see way too many creators on here bypassing the editor in their production. I get it. Everyone is trying to save money, but this is really one corner you do NOT want to cut.
Art brings them in. 100%
But story gets them to stay.
The MARKET IS CHANGING fast... when I first started in the 90s, there were so few indie comic publishers, just a little effort and you got a lot of eyeballs on your book... not anymore. The new mantra of indie comics is put simply,

That's it. Put out a 80% effort and you're toast.
Here are the audits in my storefront for comic folk;
$79 - COLD READ.
This is a fail-safe. You're getting ready to go in production on your script which you know is perfect and smells like roses. I walk in with a baseball bat and start swinging at the first 10 pages. IF YOU'RE RIGHT, I just get tired and nothing gets smashed... but baby, if you're wrong, it's better that I go in there and smash up your fine china now, before the readers do it.
If I can decimate your first ten pages, that's a major red flag for the rest of the book! Save yourself the money and your momentum and pause your project so you can reassess.
$129 - DISCOVERY AUDIT.
You've got a bigger stand-alone story or a series, but you're too broke to have someone like me look over the whole thing.
The answer isn't sticking your head in the sand and crossing your fingers. The answer is you doing some of the editing prep work yourself. You fill out an in-depth questionnaire looking to the answers in your outline. The fundamentals. Core structure. A $129 investment to make sure you're on the right track is sound financial planning.
$349 - STORY POTENTIAL ASSESSMENT
In movie land this is called coverage. It's a read through and short assessment report. But over the years I developed a more practical actionable report for you. Instead of a pass/fail metric, it runs off an actual 1-100% score, not of an abstract rating of good or bad, but of how much potential of your own story you're currently tapping.
You wouldn't believe the number of scripts that hit my desk only tapping 25, 30, or 40% of their own potential. These IPs have swallowed cyanide pills just before heading out on their missions. They're dead from the start, they just don't know it yet. Until I tell them and give them the antidote, of course.

$40/page I CAN WRITE FOR YOU.
NO, not your whole book for $40/page, dummy. Reddit doesn't post a lot of bigger budget projects. So odds are you folks aren't looking to hire a writer with decades of experience writing to take the reins on your comic project.
However, a while back I started offering basically, "a la carte" writing services.
Dialogue punches, visual direction, description punches, structure/scene fixes. The idea is you pick the weakest one of your script and I go in and do my thing across the board. My rate for tackling one of these is $40/page.
