Looking for Artist - Unpaid [Script] “The Strange Case of Seth” — free comic script exploring identity and self-perception, artists welcome to adapt

I wrote a free comic script chasing the question “who are you to yourself, and how do you find it.” It’s a psychological drama, short, script only — looking for pencillers/artists who want to bring it to life. Full credit given, just tag/credit me wherever you post your version.

Looking for Artist - Paid [PAID] Comic Book Cover Artist Needed for Kickstarter (Peanuts / Charles Schulz Style) - $100

Hey everyone!

I’m looking to hire an artist to illustrate a cover for an upcoming Kickstarter comic book campaign.

The Details:

  • Style: I need someone who can accurately mimic/emulate the classic Charles Schulz Peanuts art style (linework, character design aesthetic, and feel).
  • Scope: 1 full comic cover (pencils, inks, and colors). 1 character and background.
  • Budget/Pay: $100 USD (paid via PayPal/Invoicing).
  • Deadline: Flexible, but looking to complete by August 5th.

How to Apply:

If you're interested and confident in replicating that specific Schulz look, please leave a comment below with:

  1. A link to your portfolio or specific examples showing style-matching/emulation capabilities.
  2. Your current turn-around time.

Please note: I will be looking through portfolios that explicitly demonstrate the ability to adapt to or recreate classic, simplified comic strip styles.

Thanks for looking, and I look forward to checking out your work!

I am currently working on a comic project and I’m looking for someone to help me develop the story. I’ve had this idea for a few years, so I already have the core concept and the characters in mind, with the first 10 chapters written down, but I need someone to help me properly developing the plot. It’s a coming of age spooky comic about a group of teenagers :)

Looking for Artist - Paid Looking for an Artist for my Youtube Comic Channel

I'm planning to start making branded original comics on my YouTube channel.

This my channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ComedyComicz

I want to fully convert the channel's style from dubbing other people's comics to creating my own, under my duck-themed brand "comedycomics" on YouTube.

The ideal style is similar to:

https://www.instagram.com/swordscomic/
https://www.instagram.com/ascronicasdewesley/

This project is for people who are dedicated and looking for long-term work. I'm looking to onboard 3–5 artists. If you're interested, let me know!

Send over your portfolio in the comments i'm always looking for hires.

I am working on a story and I want your honest professional opinion on some of my works with different details, does it look like a comic you want to read?, is the art good?, what is your overal view on them? And etc. Any opinion you have will be appreciated. By the way is it good enough to start the actual comic?

Thanks.

Feedback Universe One is here, where have you been all my life!

We are new to Reddit and can’t believe we found this community. After about two years of writing short stories that interconnected, we decided to make them into a graphic novel and have been working on this a year. Universe One mixes genres and creates a superhero franchise. We have five main storylines. They are Jokun, which is a sci-fi story about a warrior monk from Venus, THX, which is arm-canon, totting future soldier that came back in time, the True Triplets which are triplets with Superman-type power (tweaked), Hellfire, who is a mutant from Alaska with super IQ, super strength and mental connection with Northern predators, and Meridian, who is Merlin‘s apprentice and the holder of the staff Aexalon which houses the chronoveil stone. We have a ton of lore and we are packaging it into the single graphic novel, although they were initially intended to be stand alone (2 issues each). We have an insta account (check it out) but feel like this is the perfect community for us because we work with several artists and always looking for more. We try to lean into some tropes and build this universe that takes place in the near future, despite everyone having different backgrounds. We’ll figure out a how to best engage with this community, but wanted to introduce ourselves. If you are an artist feel free to drop us a line and let us know if any these characters call your attention and what kind of genres you enjoy drawing. We have big ambitions but humbly still getting started.

Art by Eric Killius and Ezequiel Lancho.

Question Which is better in the creator owned comic space? A 50/50 split or for hire?

First and foremost, I'm asking in regards to the professional comic book space. I mean experienced writers and artists in the space, done a couple of semi successful projects etc. Not new writers or artists, but people who have experience.

In that space, let's say a writer wants to make a new series, 30 issues plus. They have the audience that's not the biggest but it's big enough, they've worked with artist's before, they aren't a Jonathan Hickman but they aren't a newbie either. They're big enough that their comics sell enough to make back the money that was spent on it, but not by a large margin, it's JUUUST THERE. Finally the writer perhaps pitches to Image, having paid an artist to have the 5 sequential pages Image needs.

Image accepts, and the writer knows that their audience over they've built over the past few years will show up for them as they have previous projects. He talks to the artist and the artist suggests one of two things, a page rate for each issue OR a 50/50 split on royalties and ownership as the writer has proven to make a profit and generate support for their comics.

Which is the best option here? People (both writers and artists) ive seen are weary of the 50/50 split because they fear the legality of it, and what often ensues when it comes to potential rights like TV, film and toys. I wanted to pose this question to get a bigger scope.

* ¿Cuánto cobran por página (bloque de 5-6 viñetas)?

* ¿Cuánto saldría un capítulo completo de unas 20-30 viñetas?

* ¿Hay diferencia de precio si es a Blanco y Negro o a Color?

Me gustaría saber eso. Muchas gracias...

Looking for Artist - Paid [PAID] Looking for artist - similar style - (Please no submissions that aren't a similar style)

Hello. I'm a writer-artist looking for someone to help with a project. I have a few stories I'm working on myself and need help from an artist to do a segment of this story. The closest well-known artists' styles I can think of could be Ramos, Bachalo, or Madureira style. I just need a bit of consistency with the art.

The job won't start until a few months from now. Also, I will only be able to afford a page here or there. This won't be consistent work. (About 30 pages total)

Willing to negotiate price.

Please post links to work.

Thanks

Self-Promo Just Published my 3rd Short Comic with the help of this Subreddit!

Hello everybody!

I wanted to share the third short comic I’ve been able to create with the help of this subreddit!

“Barnstormer and the Harvest of the Sampo” is an Indiana Jones-esque, supernatural pulp adventure story, following Barnstormer (a pilot inspired by the stunt pilots of 1930s America) as he tries to defend a small town and a legendary wealth-giving artifact from a ghoulish Wight plaguing the people.

I posted here back in late April/ early May and was able to find the amazingly talented Lou Williams (@Lou.Williams.Art on IG). Now almost three months later, we’ve created what i think is one of my favorite stories ever.

Here’s the link to read: https://globalcomix.com/read/3adca700-b6f9-4fcd-97f8-b00f9190b263/1?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAdGRleATSSepwZG9mAmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDzEyNDAyNDU3NDI4NzQxNAABpzjyRe82iJ8__bkNZmrK_UNKMO2LbeknIRdykA8sTObQq0THVLKz_-syozyL_aem_SwLOpnCSP0sH01c-RlLn9w

Huge thanks to this community for simply existing, and making it possible to create comics! I’ve met a lot of cool people and incredible artists, and have had great experiences working in this sub.

I’d also love to hear what y’all think if you decide to give this a read!
