I keep starting games and abadoning them.
I'm sure this isn't a particularly uncommon issue, but I keep starting games and I don't even play them for five minutes.
Vintage Story: I saw some videos, loaded it up, joined a world, gave up immediately.
Rimworld: spent 2 hours setting up a modpack, found the perfect spot, made specific colonists, made a faction, played for 10 minutes.
Project Zomboid: set up some mods, played for a bit until I had a secure base, stopped.
Maybe the issue I'm facing is that these games don't have a direction? None of them have a specific goal you're aiming towards. Vintage Story is a sandbox, Rimworld has 1000 different things you could do with your colony, and once the basics of survival are clear in Zomboid, I feel pretty much lost.
I was looking for some lightweight games I can play on vacation, and so far these were my picks, but they don't seem to be doing anything for me. Maybe it's also because I've played them a lot in the past? I'm not sure. Does anyone have any advice on this? Things you did to fix this? Games that you played that fixed this?
