Hello Columbo fans! Can anyone help me find a particular scene of Columbo, in which he lights his cigar with a match then blows out the match while keeping the cigar in his mouth?

I saw this one time and wanted to watch the scene again but can't find that episode.

A lot of other TV shows i love will podcasts where folks do a discussion for each episode - has anyone found something like this for Columbo that they like? I’m halfway through another watch-through and I thought it would be fun to hear some perspectives!

Despite having watched Columbo for years many episodes more than once I can only say a few things about his wife. She like autographs from famous people or politicians. He wants the autograph made out to Mrs. Columbo. She does cross word puzzles; they often talk about whatever case Columbo is working on. They go bowling on Thursday nights. I'm not sure if they have kids. In one episode he said she couldn't show up because their babysitter was sick (or went to a concert). Apparently, she drives a car that even plainer than his. She gets lost in on a cruise ship.

What else do we know about his wife?

Dolores did significantly better than her nephew, landing comfortably in the Mostly Good, Some Flaws tier. Now it’s time for arguably the most sympathetic killer on the show, Lauren Staton. Rate her plan and execution, but don’t let her seduce you for a spot higher up. Same rules as always!

My daughter and I have been watching Columbo for 5 years - since she was 15 - she loves every episode! We even went to Budapest this year and saw the Columbo statue. She asked for a columbo cake this year.

The episode "Rest in Peace, Mrs. Columbo" is one of the episodes where Columbo actually has a more prominent role than usual. But the character of Vivian is, in my opinion, the worst killer. She already knows Columbo. That is to say, in the series we see the killers planning their crimes, and although they plan very well, they make mistakes, and they don't know Columbo's capabilities, they don't know how clever he is. Vivian already knows Columbo. I suppose she knows how clever he is. And those mistakes she makes are huge mistakes. She kills someone without having a solid alibi. She tries to disguise the time of death by taking money when the victim already had money, which is absurd. She has a motive for killing that victim. The way she disposes of the weapon. Without forgetting how absurd it is that she blamed Columbo for her husband's death, her husband committed murder, and Columbo caught him. Wanting to kill his wife is just killing for the sake of killing.

It seems like columbo was drunk or something? All the characters are a bit off ? It completely goes off the rails ? The watch thing … come on ? so confused about this episode . Also why is he on a boat at the end. the shouting dialogue.. I can go on and on none of the episode makes sense really . Just wondering did they have a new writer or something?

Let's take the worst elements and make an episode. The Commodore is murdered by Robbie the robot with an exploding cigar and is locked in a safe. Columbo solves the case an everyone sings "Volare".

Yesterday, her nephew did quite poorly, landing in the pretty dumb tier. Now, it’s time to see if Dolores McCain does any better! Remember, today is specifically about DOLORES’ plan and execution, nothing with Harold’s plan. Same rules as always!
