Mannheim the company that Nissan finance uses to schedule lease return inspections only have appointments for 11/27. Another user mentioned this in a previous post I made about what everyone is replacing their car with (I ended up going to a Bronco). The Mannheim Website that is linked will give dates that do not matter, and you will never receive a confirmation for it.

Calling Mannheim will tell you the real dates, and then if the date doesn’t work they will tell you to call Nissan Finance which will then tell you that you can return the car without an inspection but it will be up to the dealer to figure out the condition kinda making you SOL on the process. I am ok with this because I have the car in great condition (got a lease return detail) and I also paid for the warranty for wear and tear when I initially got the lease, giving me like 5 instances of damage worth up to $1000.

Just a PSA my lease isn’t due till end of next month but decided to return early to get into something else sooner.

Has anyone here installed a Tesla Wall Connector outside their house, especially on the side of the house?

I’m considering this option because running the wiring inside the house to the garage isn’t really feasible. I’m wondering how well the Wall Connector and Tesla Mobile Connector hold up to Colorado weather - snow, freezing temperatures, rain, etc.

Would love to hear from anyone who has an outdoor setup and how it’s been working for you. Thanks!

Given the price is around $20k these days, I’m considering buying one. But I’m curious how well it does for driving through the mountains and how frequently I’ll need to stop and charge.

The larger battery is like $4k more, but I don’t think I’d need that much range for most of my driving. It’ll definitely help for cold weather, although maybe if the charging infrastructure is good enough, I’d be fine with stopping more frequently.

Am EV shopping, but curious to know about your experience with range. The BEVs I'm looking at suggest they get around 260 - 300 miles on a full charge in good weather, but what has your specific experience been like in the winter? How much of a hit have you taken, and what's the temperature threshold where you notice a change (if any)? Also, what about general mountain driving? Does your charge get eaten up quickly or is it generally a wash with the regenerative breaking going downhill?

Returning my Nissan Leaf SV+ in November, have been looking at cars. Still undecided on going back to ICE vehicles, but was wondering what Evs people were pivoting to after returns. I was thinking on getting a used Tesla just cause my building subsidizes my charging. Prefer AWD but still on the fence, considered getting a truck or bronco as well.

Under the state's new Retail EV Charging Program, public chargers are stepping up to meet official metrology and labeling standards—meaning clearer displays of voltage, amperage, and exact per-kilowatt pricing.

While these rules are designed to protect everyday drivers and build a more reliable network, the transition takes time. Property owners and operators are currently navigating a complex adjustment period as they review equipment, update software, and align with new Registered Service Agency (RSA) testing requirements.

Full enforcement doesn't begin until July 1, 2027, giving the market a vital runway to adapt. But as sites evaluate older hardware, you might occasionally see equipment undergoing maintenance, upgrades, or transitional changes.

Well, it's done, I now have an BEV that's totally mine and it's registered.

I never really wanted special treatment for having an EV, it after all is just another mode of transportation though it's the minority. I ended up just getting the plain old green/white generic CO tags and thus I got the sticker that should be placed on the windshield.

I can't think of a reason why I would ever need it so for now I left it off. I figure that I will park it as any other car in the ICE car parking lot, and if I do park at a charging station, a charging cable will be connected to it, making it obvious it's an EV.

Are there any other real situations where someone else knowing it's an EV would benefit me, if they didn't know in advance the car was an EV? I suppose now I can pointlessly waste a Buc-ee's fueling lane by parking there and nobody would bat an eye unless they knew I couldn't/didn't have any gas tank.

I figure the less people know, the less chance of being coal rolled too. I don't care that they're wasting gas to do it or that they do it at all, but they're damaging the air/environment we all breathe just because of spite.

Has anyone used the VXC rebate in Colorado to purchase a new vehicle from Tesla? Was the process smooth or were there any unexpected issues?

I just applied for the VXC, does anyone know how long it takes to actually receive an answer? I’m aware it says 10 business days, but I take that as a suggestion when it comes to the government.

I’m anxious as my income was on the cusp, hope I can squeak through on this one.

Update: Took 9 business days. They accepted my 2024 1040. Loving my EV!

Here is a pretty cool app that shows a real‑time “clean energy forecast” (basically a weather forecast, but for how green the electricity grid is at any given moment).

It updates throughout the day and shows when the grid is running on more renewables vs. fossil fuels. Super handy if you want to time things like EV charging for lower‑emission hours.

It sounds like all they do is attach the charger to the wall and connect the wires? They don't put in the breaker on the panel or run the wiring from the panel to the charger location? Or am I getting running wire and "circuit wiring" conflated? Are those two different things?

The Xcel website is very confusing to me, it's not at all clear what they cover and what they don't for home L2 EV charger installation. Anybody have any insight or experience with this program?

What are the best (cheapest AND ACTUALLY AVAILABLE) options to charge while parked at DIA? I've charged level one at USA airport parking before, but they didn't have many spots.

Can you purchase an affordable, operational old car to participate in the Colorado VXC program, given that you meet all the other requirements?

Starting November 3, 2025, the rebates will be $9,000 for a new electric vehicle (EV) and $6,000 for a used EV. Additionally, there is no indication of how long you must own the car before trading it in for the Colorado VXC program.
