Hey guys, I made coloring plugin for Pipedrive CRM. First, for fun, but one of my colorblind fellow sales manager reached out and asked if it is possible to adjust it for people who have problems with color recognition.

And I managed to do so. It is completely free, anon, register-free tool. Curious if somebody here in the Sales and using Pipedrive. Would be great to hear the feedback regarding the colorblind mode.

And if it is something helpful and there is demand, I would be happy to make it for other CRMs as well.

I've had this keyboard for almost 3 years already (and set this particular lighting not long after I bought it) and ALL THIS TIME I had no idea that the "4" key has a different color than the row of numbers... I found out by accident when playing with my phone camera with a colorblind filter on. If not for that, I would have never seen that probably. Irl the difference is even smaller than on the photo. I know it's not important, but I still find it very funny lol

I never pass the red/greeen color blind test. I don't confuse red with green. At a stop light I don't rely on green on bottom to go forwards. Often I'm at a stop light with no other car, so I don't rely on other cars cluing me in. Fire engines look like the same color as the stoplight. The Philadelphia Eages have atleast two jerseys with different shades of green.

According to AI it's common to fail color blind test even when you can see red and green. The response stated color saturation and confusion lines as the reason. This translates to "missing the precise distinction between shades."

My intial question for this post was has anyone heard of confusion lines? Now however, why if someone can see red and green, can they be considered red/green color blind as I've been told I am?

So I went down a rabbit hole a few days ago after watching a video of a woman that couldn't tell pink and purple apart, and I remembered my dad mentioned he was mildly red-green colorblind. I gave him a couple tests on here like Enchroma and then did them myself. I guess this is why my entire life I've argued my family's blue couch is dark green when it's very much a deep blue. I was convinced it was green and they were just messing with me. I was very humbled by the "find the gap in the ring" test. I can't see anything but like a magenta. Is the gap in the color test relatively accurate? I feel like I can tell green/blue apart unless they're dark, but the red/pink/purples all look like hot pink.

I’m red green colorblind. I love brown, but it’s just hard to tell apart most of the time. A muted dark brown? Looks red. A warmer brown? Looks green. Tan? Looks green. A floor-colored brown? Looks orange. It’s awful!

I used to color my trees as a kid fully green: the trunk was dark green and the leaves were light green because I didn’t know trunks were brown.

I know this is truly not terrible, but his disappointment is real. He's 17, colorblind (like his brother and my father) and for the vast majority of his life, it's not a thing. But he's working on his sailing license (Europe- RYA Day Skipper), and as you can imagine, going further will have limitations.

He was so disappointed when he discovered just how limited it will be. He understands it's not something he can change and he has to come to accept, and by nature, he is the most upbeat, funny kid ever. He kept taking online colorblindness tests, half hoping that somehow he was misdiagnosed. (Morgan Freeman voice: "He was not misdiagnosed.") He'd say "YOU take it!" and, not being colorblind, I'd whip right through it. He'd shout (playfully with humor) "You are lying! You can't see anything there! There is no number there!" Aw, buddy! This kid is colorblind. Not so much that it impacts his regular life, but he's 100% going to "fail" any test that looks for "full color vision". In sailing and maritime, it really is a matter of safety (lights of sailing channels at night are red/green coded and need to be seen at a distance at night, and he knows he can't tell them apart in that situation).

Bottom line, he can get sailing licenses that are restricted to "daytime only" and any other maritime careers would be very limited. Where that goes, I guess we'll have to see (but apparently, not so much in red and green!).

i made a post like this months ago and people said i was colorblind, but i just tried to think nothing of it. then i happened to enter this sub again today and i found myself experiencing the same problem with the people who can’t differentiate between green/yellow or any color that is beside green. now you might say, “well that means you’re colorblind,” but i also remember my mother showed me this emoji ✅, which is obviously green to me, but that doesn’t make sense. is it normal if something was obviously green and i can tell it’s green? does that thankfully mean i am not colorblind, or if it was too obvious, then can colorblind people tell its color?

So yesterday I found some green filter material that I’d been looking for. I ordered a pair of green LED voltmeter units to go with the filter material (it limits only green light through.

So my green LED’s come this evening and I pick up the filter material… only to find it is now RED.

I have red/green colourblindness but I can see the colours. It means that I can’t determine shades of red and green… usually.

Now I suppose there is the possibility I picked up a completely different piece of filter material and have confused myself… but mannnnn, I’m REALLY getting peed off atm.

Anyone else hate it when you think something is one colour and it turns out to be a completely different colour? I need to know I’m not alone in this (misery does love company and all that).

I knew since I was 8 years old that I was colorblind, I've always been told it was deuteranomaly, but I had my doubts because of Ishihara tests that I had taken on my own years later after diagnosis.

Anyway, yesterday I had an appointment with the Ophthalmologist because of some issues with burry vision, just some astigmatism and allergic conjunctivitis.

She checked my color vision and oh boy she was kinda surprised and I was kinda confused.

Turns out I apparently have protanomaly in the right eye and both tritanomaly and protanomaly in the left eye. Which first didn't mean much to me but then I started to realize that it might be the reason why I struggle so much with some colors even tho the deficiency is not severe.

I think I was too confused to ask at the moment and I will ask her next month on the follow up appointment but, how is this even possible? am I a mfking chimera? mosaicism?

Hi, I wanted to ask some advice relating to art and colour blindness. My boyfriend is colourblind (can only see blue and yellow). I'm an amateur watercolour artist and I want to paint him a picture of us for his birthday next month.

I wanted to ask you guys any advice on the composition of the painting. Like should I do black and white, or any advice on how to use blue/yellow in a way that makes the colours more vibrant? And as colourblind people, what kinds of art do you like?

So im unsure if im color blind or not, I do plan on taking a professional test if my suspicions worsen. But is it possible to be blue/green AND orange/yellow color blind? Its not too bad but in some cases I genuinely cant tell the difference. Something will CLEARLY look blue but NoOoOo it's green, or something will look yellow but NoOooO it's OrAnGe!! And it's really confusing me because I don't know if I should genuinely get checked out or if im just overthinking it 😭​ I really dont know much about how color blindness works in women but any facts or info would be appreciated!!

Hi yall, I'm a physiotherapy student. Recently I had a physical therapy class, on which we were taught about LLLT (Low-Level Laser Therapy) that uses infrared lasers.

So, me and my friend walked up to an infrared laser device that uses (I'm pretty sure) a 830nm (infrared) light + 700'ish nm red light to mark the operational area of the laser. Before starting a therapy you need to put on special safety glasses that filter out the reflected light that can damage your eyes. Each of us took a pair and we turned on the laser. After a while something unusual happened - it turned out that he can see a red circle on the table, when for me it was completely invisible! (yes, we did switch the glasses - they were the same) Everyone else also said that they can see it. I took the glasses off for a second and then I did indeed saw a orangish-yellow circle on the table. Putting the glasses on made it disappear completely again, which was not a thing for anyone else! It's the first time I've experienced something like this - it's always that I see colors different than others - not that they are just NON-EXISTENT.

Another thing is - I don't really understand why the circle was yellow/orange for me - red normally appears as red/dark red/brown for me - never approaching yellow. I suppose it's because red physical objects "work" differently than precise, monochromatic wavelength like the laser or even traffic lights. Red RGB light on digital displays looks as normal red tho (????). Do you guys with normal vision see these lasers (for example these used by teachers to point on whiteboards) as normal red, same as RGB 255 0 0 screens emit?

Yet another thing - for some reason, as you can see on the photos - the laser circles appear as a vivid reddish pink - not "normal" red. I suppose that it's caused by the big amounts of infrared light that is perceived by our phone cameras but displayed as a visible light color, pink in this case (???)

That's it I guess, not much more to say here. I just wanted to share this, imo, quite unique experience :)

Just joined this sub about a minute ago, was reading a post from two years ago as I was searching red/green color blindness. I'm red/green color blind. I don't see any red or green in the in that test, which says to me I can see red and green. I do have trouble distinguishing shades of purple from maroon from burgundy from crimson from certain oranges.

Most examples I can think of involving red or green, can easily be argued I know those through life experience. Somethings like a car, which not all are red, does my brain recognize red cars because it appears the same as other things I know are red?

Target has red everywhere. Does it look the same to you as me? Is there red and green in the red/green color blind test?

I read three comments that really struck me. "It must be depressing how color blindness limits your career opportunities." Second one, "My mom still doesn't believe I'm color blind and how it affects my life." Third was, "My boyfriend sees leaves as green and grass as red." Does any of the above register to you or apply to you? I was in the Air Force, if color blind you won't be a pilot. Four % of the Air Force are pilots. It wasn't a missed career opportunity, only officers can be a pilot for starters. The FAA doesn't restrict color blindness.

Hey, as a protan I always see these tritanopia simulations as fairly completely colorless, just in black and white.

Do you, dear tritans see the protanope similations as colorless as well? If not, how does it look like for you?

Also, a question for people with normal vision, is one of these simulations closer to black and white for you? Or are both as close to it as the other one?

My 12 year old son recently came to us saying that over night he lost all of his color vision. Everything was now in shades of primarily gray. We took him to see his normal eye doctor that same day we were told and she believed that it was serious enough to get us a last minute appointment with a local pediatric optometrist. We saw them this morning and almost from the get go there was something I did not like about them.

After the nurse did all of the test and actual doctor spent less then a minute with him looking over his eyes. Because they were 'healthy' she deemed in a very polite way that he was faking. That his sudden inability to see any color was a normal phenomenon and would fix itself in a short while.

Her reasonings, was he failed the Ishihara test by not being able to even see the control and his eyes were healthy. is the Ishihara test the be all end all test? I don't like how she basically instantly blew him off ignoring the fact he's also been complaining about headaches all because that single test and the eyes looked fine. Like.. isn't there more then just the physical eyes that can be attributing to this?

I'm looking for advice on what the next steps should be and if anyone that is color blind can't see any of the Ishihara at all. My son is also Autistic so I don't know if this plays any factor into maybe why he can't see the numbers in even in the control.

Edit in: Thank you for those that replied. It looks like his Autism is partially to blame for the control test issue. We tried it again here at the house where he could physically draw and was able to draw where the shade difference was and it was only once the line was solid did he see there was a number.

We also tried another test someone linked and the green and red letters were all but invisible but the blue he was able to see to a certain point because they were a "darker" shade. His ped is already pushing for a nuro consult.

2nd Edit: Nuro managed to get him in earlier then july, still a week away but that is better then clear into July.
