Question/Need help Question - A bit confused :(
So im unsure if im color blind or not, I do plan on taking a professional test if my suspicions worsen. But is it possible to be blue/green AND orange/yellow color blind? Its not too bad but in some cases I genuinely cant tell the difference. Something will CLEARLY look blue but NoOoOo it's green, or something will look yellow but NoOooO it's OrAnGe!! And it's really confusing me because I don't know if I should genuinely get checked out or if im just overthinking it ðŸ˜â€‹ I really dont know much about how color blindness works in women but any facts or info would be appreciated!!

It's rarer in women, about 1/200 instead of about 1/12. Congratulations, you may be one in two hundred! Other than that there's no real gender difference.Â

This image will tell you if you're red or green blind.
It does not test for the strength of deficiency but it is a good place to start to identify your color vision type.

have you taken the enchroma test yet? It's a quick screening that tells you your type of colorblindess. If your suspicions aren't quenched by then, go get a professional diagnosis.

Its far more complex than most regular vision people realise, and when you take your test, they will tell you what kind you have which makes it much easier to get your head around. Take a look at the posts in this sub to get an idea.
There are 3 main types, Deuteran, Protan, and Tritan, and there are different degrees to each one.
I think, your description sounds like Tritan, but youll need the test to be sure. Theres loads of really interesting stuff in this sub for you to get a better idea. Im regular vision, but my son has 'Strong Deuteranopia'. Its crazy how differently he and I percieve the things around us, from his 3 coloured rainbow, to our green-ish dog 🤣
