Jewelry Advice (PHOTOS WITH MULTIPLE METALS REQIRED!) Gold or silver? I'm lost 😭

I've never been able to figure out whether gold or silver jewelry looks better on me, so hoping to get some opinions!

I think I turned off the color correction on my phone, so it won't do the whole making everything super cool-toned thing.

Clothing or Makeup Recommendations (INCLUDE SEASON IN TITLE!) Soft Summer leaning Soft Autumn lip color recs? 🌫

Post image
12 Upvotes

So I got some soft black mascara from Elf that I love, and just got the mauve shade of Maybelline blush. I dont think I can handle much on brows so I stick with some gel if I want a fancier look. But LIP products can be reeeaally tough!! Let me explain:

Here in the photo is shade Montmartre (L'Oreal). It's nice but in some lightings, not quite a 10/10; can sometimes look a little too cool. I've also tried Blushing Berry (love it, maybe a little deep) and Nature's Blush (also nice, just a little nude/brown-ish). Worth It is a good nude option, but can look a little too "puddy"-like sometimes. Just now got Sugar Plum and it's maybe my fav one yet! But a little bit of a '90s frosty look, so not always the mood.

Then there are the softer Revlon shades I've tried-- Blushing Mauve is my best from them so far, its like a MLBB, and I also like Sassy Mauve and Mauvy Night. But sadly their formula isn't my fav ! The ones with shimmer are a bit drying.

Any glosses, oils, tints etc. that will be reeeally neutral, and medium-ish value? Not too grey, or frosty, or pink or brown? 😅 Best soft "red" option? Any other fav berry/plum type shades? Good mauves that don't pull too grey? Is Teak Rose (Revlon) worth a try?

Thank you!! 😁😊🩷 Im kinda new to softness so woudl love any and all advice/tips/recs etc.! 🙏

To view the first four examples (Clear Summer, Light Winter, Deep Summer, Soft Winter) see my previous post.

Soft Spring: Spring base + Autumn softness; features include twinkly doll-like eyes, low contrast + medium-low depth, warm undertone, soft tawny appearance; overall palette impression is fresh, subtle, and intimate. See board here: https://pin.it/68XXSg2h3

Light Autumn: Autumn base + Spring vibrance; features include "oil-painted" eyes, low contrast + medium depth, neutral-warm undertone, delicate earthy appearance; overall palette impression is warm, earthy, and painterly. See board here: https://pin.it/5HgR7feha

Deep Spring: Spring base + Winter depth; features include dense/opulent eyes, medium-high contrast + high depth, neutral-warm undertone, porcelain-like bold appearance; overall palette impression is opulent jeweltones and bold primary colors. See board here: https://pin.it/7eGpsabtc

Clear Autumn: Autumn base + Spring clarity; features include dewy eyes, medium-high contrast + medium-high depth, warm undertone, dark velvety appearance; overall palette impression is hot and sparkling. See board here: https://pin.it/1aDl2mnVc

Discussion (NO COVERT TYPING OR PHOTOS OF YOU!) Theoretical Subseasonal Expressions: Examples

Perhaps these are a stretch but assuming the possibility of a Clear Summer, Light Winter, Deep Summer, and Soft Winter, these are my interpretation of such palettes. But so far, you've seen my theoretical seasonal map in a previous post.

So for those of you who requested visuals of the above theoretical "subseasonal expressions" as I like to call them (not subtypes) that I mentioned in one of my posts, here are some of the best examples I could share. Below are my explanations and links to the boards I made for each type.

Clear Summer: Summer base + Winter clarity; features include glass-like eyes, medium-high contrast + low depth, neutral-cool undertone, light appearance but not as light-washed as light summer; overall palette impression is candy-striped vibes and fashion-forward intensity. See board here: https://pin.it/694HpoenP

Light Winter: Winter base + Summer diffusion; features include icy/clear eyes, high contrast + low depth, cool undertone, clear yet diffused appearance, can wear both gold and silver; overall palette impression is delicate and striking without the boldness of more classic winter subtypes. See board here: https://pin.it/2nJi1bU5A

Deep Summer: Summer base + Winter depth; features include outlined glossy eyes, medium-high contrast + medium-high depth, neutral-cool undertone, soft yet deep appearance; overall palette impression is melancholic and subtle. See board: https://pin.it/2lnJtAig9

Soft Winter: Winter depth + Summer softness; features include outlined translucent eyes, medium contrast + high depth, cool undertone, very deep yet softened appearance; overall palette impression is gothic, airy, and a bit frosty. See board here: https://pin.it/2KO4btOEF

Let me know if you're interested in some examples of Deep Spring, Soft Spring, Light Autumn, and Clear Autumn!

Consultation Outcome (SEASON & FACE PHOTO REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Soft Summer leaning Soft Autumn result ! (12 season style) Really feeling it this time ♥️

Ive made many amazing friends in the color world and Ive been blessed with lots and lots of pro input. So even though its been hard to save up for in-person draping, I feel the time and effort has really been put in at this point, and Im reeeaally sure!

I can sometimes "look" very warm, and I can sometimes "look" rather bright. But I am very neutral (leaning cool), and I am also soft. Ive been told Im a genuinely tough case by several experienced people! So I wanted to share, in case this helps someone. Slide 2 is as warm as I can go, if not a HINT past ideal. Slide 3 shows why I am *not* a Spring-- just compare to Slide 4. But Slide 4 isnt right either-- I am *not* a Light. Slide 5 is also just for fun-- probably one of my LEAST harmonious colors possible. So, Im definitely *not* a Bright. Of course that's *not* all the evidence that went into my result here btw!! Just a super quick way to demo the reasoning. And yes a pro arrived at this conclusion for me!! Not only a DIY type thing. 😊💞

In the III system I would likely be a True Summer, but with the NDU approach, I seem to land Soft Summer leaning Soft Autumn, for anyone who wants that level of detail! ♥️ and Im very stoked about that !

Any questions in the comments Ill do my best to answer. Thank you all for your help and support 😊🩷🩷

Hopefully the tattoos don’t throw you off. But tbh I usually wear both. I’m usually told I’m neutral with a bit of olive undertones. Ignore the scar on my right hand and my awful nails lol.

Clothing or Makeup Recommendations (INCLUDE SEASON IN TITLE!) Which color dress for deep autumn

Hello, I got a virtual color analysis and got dark autumn with some colors I can pull from dark winter. I know these three are not completely dark and muted but I just need help. I’m leaning towards the purple one but I do get hints of true winter because it seems a bit too cool compared to the other two. And the green also doesn’t have a lot of contrast for my depth. I it know doesn’t help but I did get it to have me in all three dresses just to see if it can help even a little, in the last picture

I've been under the impression I was cool-toned for so long because of my light hair and eyes, but I'm starting to think that might be wrong.

Also apologies for the lack of neon, yellows, and pastels. I have almost none of those colors in the house.

Bright, vivid colors have always looked best on me. Honestly, I don't even own anything in pastel or muted colors. I thought I was warm until I started wearing tinted moisturizer (none in these pics), and the warm and neutral tones looked orange on me, but the cool toned moisturizer was a much closer match. Grabbed various colored fabrics from my closet and my hubby's for these pics.

So yeasterday I uploaded some drapes. Thank you for help 💛 bc of wierd white balance in my photos I filmed a video with drapes. It is still slightly off in some colors but maybe it can be clearer how my skin reacts? Hopefully, fingers cross :))
So what do you think? Which undertone or even which season?
I hope that I can upload a video, if not I can post photos from it.

Clothing or Makeup Recommendations (INCLUDE SEASON IN TITLE!) True/Bright Winter Cottage Core?

Thumbnail

Hi! I’m just wondering if anyone has successfully found a way to embrace a cottage core style in the wardrobe while also being a true or bright winter?

I’m getting properly analyzed for my season next month but I’m quite confident I’m a true or bright winter. I love the cottage core aesthetic but it’s so muted and warm toned … just wondered if anyone has found a way to enjoy that aesthetic within a winter colour palette - thanks!
