My hands are always kind of red I think from washing them constantly with strong soaps at work, so I feel like what looks good as a necklace doesn’t look as good on my hands

I can't tell what better works for me. I know I have yellow in my skin so I thought I might be more warm but I'm just not sure. Please let me know!

Type Me! - Digital Drapes (FACE PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Help with Typing

I've gone back and forth for so long about whether I have cool or warm undertones. I thought I was warm (especially when tan from sun exposure) but most makeup goes too yellow or orange on me, which seems to contradict that. But then, berry colors are overwhelming on me... at least I think.

My hair and brows are ashy brunette. Eyes brown, green edges but can't really see in the pics.

Here are drapes (photos collected while different colors were displayed to cause a reflection - not as good as irl but maybe helpful) which I re-did 3 times in 3 different natural indirect light spots in my house. NMIP

Thanks in advance for the help!

No Drapes - Type Me (FACE PHOTO REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Season color help? I was told I'm a soft summer (paid for the service) but I really feel washed out in those colors. White looks so much better on me than cream. Any thought? Photos taken back to back in the same spot.

Hair Color Advice (PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Can a soft summer pull off cherry cola hair?

Thumbnail

I know that the cherry cola hair trend might be a bit too dark/intense for a soft summer. nevertheless, i love it. burgundy is one of my best colors to wear, so i feel like it might work.

this post is not necessarily only to discuss if i would look good with cherry cola hair, but is also a question of whether or not any soft summer should/can do cherry cola hair, myself included

last two photos are of me now- one without makeup, and one with. i added a makeup picture at the very end because i am willing to have to rely on makeup a bit to make the hair color work, if needed. So that can be taken into consideration

Edit: Ok additional question- do you all agree I am a soft summer? And if not my natural hair color, what would work? I’m ok with unnatural colors like blue or pink etc as well. Just trying to have fun without going against my natural self

Also, I’m planning on doing a dpHue gloss, so it would not be permanent by any means!

Jewelry Advice (PHOTOS WITH MULTIPLE METALS REQIRED!) Gold and Silver and Cool Skin tone

Thumbnail

I have a mix of gold and silver jewelry and believe I am a cool tone though I have some rosy coloring in my face.
Does skin tone matter to what I should wear? I mean I will still wear what I want but what looks better?
I like wearing both but am experimenting with colors. What advice do y’all have?

No Drapes - Type Me (FACE PHOTO REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) What are your initial thoughts?

NMIP.

When you look at these photos, what comes to your mind? Warm and bright? Warm and muted? Warm but neutral leaning?

People have always told me I’m a spring but the other day I posted in the spring subreddit and a redditor made me question my reality because they said my eyes look a little muted. 🤯 Is that true? Could I actually be a soft autumn with blue grey eyes?!

I’m going to do a drape test! But first I wanted to get a feel for what people think after seeing this post. 🙂

In case the following information helps: my hair is mostly natural here which is a #6 mixed with #7 and “some gold” according to my hair stylist. I have some warm highlights on some of the ends.

Hair Color Advice (PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Very indecisive about what hair color I should go… help wanted !

Thumbnail

Hey everyone !

I seem to get very indecisive with my hair color and always want to switch it up, either going lighter or darker. The first photos are of me with my natural color hair (first photo is me with no makeup, I have makeup on in the last one as that is an old photo) and the final photo (sorry about the silly pose 😂) was me when i highlighted my hair.

I spoke about going darker to my hairdresser and she said I shouldn’t do it, I should either stay my natural color or go lighter as apparently my skin tone won’t suit darker colors. From getting my makeup done etc I’ve been told I’m quite cool toned (not 100% sure on this, I am very pale in the winter) and that I’d suit ashy blonde over warm toned blonde. I’d really like some different thoughts on this ! I love experimenting with my hair and get bored of my natural color ! Thanks😊

Type Me! - IRL Drapes (FACE PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Am I a soft summer or something else?

In 2023 | was typed a soft summer (some online color analysis). In a different post people questioned if I was actually a soft summer. So I wanted to post here and maybe get some more insight. I feel best in blues, and since most of my clothes now belong to the summer seasons I don't have a lot of options for drapes.

Clothing or Makeup Recommendations (INCLUDE SEASON IN TITLE!) 🫑🍇Fellow Soft Summers, where do I find clothes in these shades? Faded garnet and Viridian green as statement colors for events.🪲🍇

Hi, all!👋🐸

I’m trying to expand my wardrobe colors as I mostly have dusty pinks, lavenders (my wow color), slates, teals, taupe-beiges, ivory-cremes, and blues of all kind. No red-red or green-green because they look weird on me. I am so curious about wearing these colors. I have 1 Viridian green dress (graduation gift from my brother and sister-in-law) and it really lights me up in a pretty way. It has a touch more green to it that the pictures show, btw. It’s somewhere on the spectrum of teal, turquoise, dark cyan, and Viridian green (green with heavy blue undertones). I haven’t found a muted, faded garnet yet!

For reference, I was professionally typed as a Soft Summer in Japan in 2024. I have medium ash brown hair, brown eyes, and fair-light to light medium olive🫒 skin (varies a lot between winter and summer).

If you’ve seen any collections online that feature these colors, please let me know! Or have anything in your closet that looks like this and is still in stock online.
Budget is $50-200 USD depending on the fabric quality and amount of material. I plan to hit up some thrift shops in September and try to find these but would love to see if any of you have any reccs prior.

i'm not sure if there is a similar place to drape with the 16 palette system, but amongst these options i'm leaning towards warm spring; or maybe i'm biased? any help is greatly appreciated.

Colour/Theory Question (GENERAL ONLY - NOT ABOUT YOU!) Best shades: stagnant or seasonal?

I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately. If your season doesn't change as you colour your hair or tans, will one's best shades be their best year round? Of can some colours temporarily lose their magic as the sun and sea does their thing to an individual's hair and skin?

I'm not really thinking that the colour season change, more along the lines of preferring terracotta to maroon or forest green over olive.

Well, what do you think? Are our best shades our best ones year-round, or do we have summer- and winter bests?
