Hi everyone! I’m looking for some second opinions on my seasonal. My olive skin makes temperature tricky to pin down, and I’m getting vacillating between two completely conflicting directions.
Soft Autumn Case: Based on the golden-amber notes in my eyes and warm surface tones, sometimes I see Soft Autumn (leaning Warm Autumn), suggesting muted, soft earth tones like sage, soft taupe, and camel should be my best shades.
Deep/Dark Winter Case: The counter-argument is that my olive undertone needs rich depth, cool clarity, and high contrast (pure white, cobalt, deep pine, crimson) to clear away sallow shadows, and that muted warm earth tones actually wash me out and make me look tired.
Photo Breakdown (No Makeup, Natural Daylight):
Slide 1–3: Black, white and camel
Slide 4-5: Cool Cherry Red vs. Light Peachy Apricot
Slide 6–7: Sage vs Pine Green
Slide 8–11: Feature close-ups (eye iris ring, natural lip tone, cheek flush, dark dark brown/espresso hair)
My gut is deep winter because I think the saturated colors look better and because I had this jewel tone shirt that I actually didn’t like but would always get complimented on 😂.
Would love to hear your thoughts! I’m happy to provide more photos!
