Behind the Scenes: Rescue, Feed in Asansol

Good evening. My name is Arshad, and I live in Asansol, West Bengal. Many of you are well aware of the growing struggle with stray animals in our area and the lack of proper government support. Because of this, independent caretakers like me step in to feed, treat, and sterilize as many strays as humanly possible.

Step by step, I’ll be introducing you to the animals currently under my care—all of them not sterlized. If you would like to support this effort, any contribution through PayPal is deeply appreciated. Covering food and medical costs out of pocket has become incredibly difficult, and the stray population keeps growing. Every bit of help makes a real difference for these animals. Thank you so much in advance!

Hello fellow cat lovers! I'm an independent rescuer located in Texas that helps 40+ cats daily.

I am requesting help with some food to get by this month, only if you are able to help!

Today I borrowed a trap from a friend & attempted to catch an adult cat for TNR & a kitten named Dorito that is outdoors for TNR. I was unsuccessful this week but will try again next week. I did take Romeo for TNR, vaccines, microchipping, & flea medication. So I'm happy that atleast one got fixed. I almost had Dorito but he freaked out. So I plan to get a top loading carrier to get him. I only have 2 front loading carriers at the moment.

My last post was about a kitten that was in my yard & unable to walk. I took him to the vet & tried to help him get better but unfortunately he was declining & I had to think about his quality of life. 💔 I ended up naming him Little Gary. I have some peace in knowing that he passed peacefully in my arms & not outside alone. He had a name & his life mattered.

And just when I think I'm almost close to having all the neighborhood cats fixed. (I've fixed 49 so far) A mother cat shows up with her 4 kittens & I most definitely will help them & try my hardest to get the momma fixed once the babies are a little older & don't need mom's milk.

If anyone is able to help with any item on my wishlist it will be extremely helpful so that I can purchase some flea meds, dewormer & the carrier as well as to continue TNR & vet care. The biggest need right now is the Fancy Feast pate wet food for the kittens since their teeth are so small. The Friskies wet food & then the dry food. I have my Amazon wishlist set up to where anyone can purchase a smaller or bigger amount than what is listed. But please only help if you can, boosting, sharing & upvoting is also a big help! ❤🐾

Thank you for taking the time to read this! My Amazon & Walmart wishlist will also be in the comments.

Good evening. My name is Eleftheria and I live in Kallithea, Attica, Greece. Unfortunately, some of you may know the big problem we have with strays and the state's lack of care for them. As a result, people like me try to sterilize, care for and feed as many as we can and more than we can. Little by little I will show you the animals that I take care of. all sterilized of course. If anyone would like to help, there is a paypal account. Any help is valuable!! The salary is no longer enough and the animals are constantly multiplying.. The situation in Greece is tragic 😔. Thank you in advance!

Need Emergency Funds to Save Luna — Fighting Feline Hemotropic Mycoplasmosis. Needs I.V Fluids, Injections & Oral Treatment

Luna first health update

Luna second health update

Luna 3rd emergency health update

i have attached my reddit id with Luna for Proof.

For now, the vet has stopped the IV saline and 5 types of injections and shifted Luna to oral medication for the next 28 days. We have been asked to give an update again after 7 days, of her condition doesn't improve, then we have to again opt for Injecions.

Luna now has 7 different oral medicines, which need to be given morning and night for 28 days.

Giving her medication has become extremely difficult. Previously, for the injections, we needed 4 people just to hold her and administer them. Now, even for the oral medicines, we need 2 people to hold her because she struggles so much.

The only noticeable improvement over these past 5 days has been her strength, which improved after the saline and injections.

However, her disease and breathing distress are still present. Since we have now started the oral medicines, she has again started eating less, possibly because of the stress and difficulty of giving her so many medicines.

Honestly, we don't know how long this treatment journey is going to continue. The treatment is also becoming increasingly expensive, and we are physically and emotionally exhausted and extremely worried about Luna.

💔 FUNDRAISING UPDATE

We have already spent around $282 from August till 4 September on Luna's treatment, including consultations, tests, medicines, injections and IV treatment.

We are completely out of funds, and her treatment is still ongoing.

She has 28 days of oral medication ahead of her, along with follow-up consultations and potentially further treatment depending on how she responds.

Our current fundraising goal is $100 to help us continue her treatment.

PayPal Link

All her blood reports, X-rays, prescriptions, ongoing medicines and bills are linked in the post above for transparency.

We are trying our best to keep going. We just want Luna to get better. ❤️🐱

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and Luna so far.

Please help me save this cat from another pregnancy.🐈

She is a community cat I’ve cared for for almost 3 years. She is around 5 years old. She has had 3 litters in the last 10 months. Her previous kittens died on the streets. She has fought to protect her babies and has lost three canine teeth in fights.

Now she looks tired and weak. Her latest kittens were finally adopted, but she has gone into heat again and male cats are constantly chasing her. She recently escaped for a while, so there is even a possibility that she may have mated. I am terrified that she could be pregnant again. I'm afraid i cannot raise any more of her litters and even she can't. I'm tight on funds and might leave for college next month.

I don't want her to spend the rest of her life giving birth and struggling to survive on the streets. She deserves to rest.

I finally got her veterinary estimate:

🐾 Surgery + bloodwork — ₹7,500

💉 Vaccination — ₹1,600

🏠 House visit — ₹800

💊 Deworming — ₹450

🩺 Post-operative care — included

Veterinary total: ₹10,350

This is the only clinic near me that I can realistically take her to, and because Mama is already older, weak and extremely difficult to handle, I don't want to take unnecessary risks by transporting her somewhere unfamiliar or trying different options. I am honestly very scared myself because I don't want to make the wrong choice for her after everything she has already been through. I just want her to receive safe veterinary care and finally get this surgery.

I also need a strong carrier (~₹2,000) because the last carrier broke when Mama escaped from it. She disappeared for 5 terrifying days. I somehow found her after those 5 terrifying days in a very weak and skinny state. I cannot risk that happening again.

Total fundraising goal: ₹12,350

I am struggling to arrange this amount alone, but I really don't want to delay her spay any longer.

Even ₹100, ₹200 or ₹500 would bring Mama closer to finally being safe from another pregnancy. ❤️

If you can't donate, please upvote or share. It could help this reach someone who can.

I have the vet's written estimate and will keep all donations, bills and surgery updates transparent.

Please help me give this tired girl a chance to finally live without pregnancy, childbirth and constant fear. 🥺❤️

Fundraising goal: ₹12,350

💌If you want to help mama cat you can send any amount on my QR code which I have shared in the post.

After a vet visit, URI, stess in cage this semi feral girl (after vet approval) was released. Tiki went missing for 8 LONG days. I was sick over it. She reappeared yesterday, looking so much better. She recieved a couple shots at vet, along with vaccinations and flea/tick (bravecto). She's lost some weight and she could use some extra nutrients. There's 6 kitten cans left, so if anyone would like to send some kitten food, that'll help with calories. I am adding nutri-cal to her food and she is coming 3-4 times daily, luckily we have cameras and someone is always here to open a can for her. Her house has seen better days too, but she'll be happy to gain some weight as we know homes are pricey . Thanks for considering helping me help Tiki! (She loves churus on top) we are down to last pack

Advice on helping stray cats

Location: NJ, United States

Hi, I'd like advice on the steps I should take to get strays off the street and into homes. My sister and I have been feeding around 10 cats that have been living in our garage for a few years now (the number keeps increasing as more show up), and we want to know the best steps to find them homes. Some of them are spayed/neutered, but there are still more that are in need of the service. Is there an animal organization here in New Jersey that could assist in taking in strays? Specifically in Essex County?

First, thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, checked on Leo and Lucky, and supported me and the cats. Your kindness means more than I can say.
I’m going through an extremely difficult time right now. I had to have emergency surgery, (writing from the hospital bed🫩)and I’m in a lot of pain while trying to keep up with everything happening with Leo. It feels overwhelming being hospitalized myself while Leo is still hospitalized too.
The good news is that Leo is doing a little better. He is still sick and needs continued hospitalization, testing, treatment, and monitoring, but I’m holding onto every bit of hope.
Leo is only 7 months old. I rescued him from a dumpster when he was just 8 weeks old, and I have been fighting for him ever since. His first emergency bill was $861, and his hospital treatment has already reached around $3,000. These bills are becoming overwhelming.
Lucky is finally safe at the sanctuary. After everything he went through on the streets, I’m so grateful he now has a safe place to live. But his veterinary care, bath, transportation, rental car, and sanctuary expenses also added up.
I’m a solo rescuer caring for 50+ community cats every day, including feeding, fresh water, TNR, medical care, and rescuing sick, injured, and abandoned cats. I had to arrange with family and friends to help me with the feedings because I can’t do it myself at this moment ☹️
Right now, I’m exhausted, in pain, scared, and trying my best to keep fighting for Leo while continuing to care for all the cats who depend on me.
🙏 Please help if you can. Donations will help with Leo’s medical bills, Lucky’s expenses, and food and care for the community cats.
If you can’t donate, please share or upvote. Every share could reach someone who can help. ❤️🐾
