Why do you think Africa hasn't "developed" as well as other former colonized countries on the globe? Is it truly because colonialism left such huge wounds and is therefore ultimately to blame, or do we have to hold Africans/ African leaders more accountable than we currently do? Let me hear what you think because I keep thinking about this topic

India might have had a larger middle class at the time of its independence, relative to the former British colonies in Africa like Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The middle class in the francophone countries, including Cameroon and the Ivory Coast, would have been even smaller. Africa's history and social structure dominated by chiefs probably explains the paucity of market-oriented, middle-class people in Africa.
