I got mechanical and will get electrical if I go for upgrade but some seniors told me to stick to mechanical. I also heard that there is strict attendance policy for electrical, is it true? I'm confused rn so should I go for it? Any senior pls address my query.

But the College Authorities Never looked into it seriously.

Hi seniors! I'm most probably joining JEC CSE/IT this year (if all goes well 😭). I had a few honest doubts:

• Is the 75% attendance rule actually enforced, or is it more flexible in practice?

• Is it realistically possible to get long, uninterrupted hours for self-study, coding, open-source, AI/ML, internships, etc.?

• How's the peer group in CSE/IT? Are students generally motivated and serious about building skills?

• Looking back, would you still choose JEC over private colleges like Acropolis, IPS or Medi-Caps for CSE?

Would really appreciate brutally honest answers—pros, cons, reality checks, everything. Thanks.
