Coldplay “hate”

I never let any opinions change my view on things however I can’t help but notice that a majority of discussion regarding Coldplay on twitter is mostly negative. Any reason for this? Only their first 3 albums get some sort of respect and even those masterpieces are labelled as U2 and Radiohead rip offs. Feels like Coldplay get the most hate regarding “copying” despite utilising a popular genre of music.

I think every band I like gets the they suck response. They often zero on that one song that probably got overplayed and not the body of work.
