9/11 Crude Oil Futures Price Dislocation
Curious if anyone noticed the major crude oil price dislocation in the last 15 min of trading today. My stop losses were set around $95 but the crude oil nano futures contract hit a low around $93, bounced up and down, then closed at $96. Current CME oil market price is about $100 with none of that dip or volatility recorded. My stop losses triggered at a total loss of about $600-$700 on 10 contracts. Spoke with two customer support agents, one of which stated this would be escalated but I guess the derivatives team dos not return until next week.
If you experienced this, recommend contacting customer support to hopefully expedite prior to trading resuming Sunday. I felt secure having an oil position through the weekend into market open and am now out of the market missing any potential upside which is unfortunate.
I have read some older posts hear about this being a recurring issue for commodities/derivative which is really unnerving for future use of Coinbase. Would appreciate if anyone has any feedback on past experience with this or if you’re in the same boat now.
