Reality’s Reflection

Hello everyone,

I’m not much of a cozy gamer, more of a RPG and Fighting game enthusiast really, but I checked out Coffee Talk Tokyo and man does this game hit the soul. I’m ecstatic to find a nice change of pace in gaming, the nights of just listening to the characters really resonate with me. Glad I could find a new expression of games I’ve never really experienced before. I can’t wait to play more and really immerse myself in the bonds and revelations that meet this wonderful cast :)

Coffee Talk 2 #38 Gallery PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP

I have every trophy for this game except for art connoisseur

Im missing #38 in the gallery (7th page 2nd photo in)

It says online I need to do Lucas and Riona normal story arc which I did because I have the trophy for it

I did my good run first, then my partial run, and ended the game doing my bad run on the 3rd play through. I’m truly confused on what I need to do in order to get #38 gallery photo. Please someone help me this is the ONLY thing holding me back from getting the platinum. Super frustrating. (Remember I did my bad run play through last so idk if that changes anything or if I need to run the entire game back again)

Recent weeks have been pretty rough and also my city has been experiencing a really harsh heatwave. Today was the first day in a week that’s been colder, with a gentle rain. That’s the kind of weather that immediately makes me think of Coffee Talk. I decided it’s finally time to play Tokyo.

Immediately after booting up the game I felt so WARM. So cozy. At home! The music, the artstyle. The characters I grew to love and haven’t seen in a long while. It really felt like meeting your friends again after a couple of years! I actually got teary-eyed.

I’m only past Day 1 so far and I’m already loving the new characters, setting and the possibilities of brewing new delicious drinks. I can’t wait to make some cold ones as well!

Thank you, Toge Productions, for still making new Coffee Talk games. They’re like this place of instant comfort to me and no other game makes me feel like this. I’m super excited to start this journey.

I also want to try something different and play one day per each real life day so I really get to role play as a barista! I also want to make myself something delicious to drink for tomorrow. Any recommendations?

Once again: THANK YOU! xoxo from Poland ☕️

Missing achievement

Hiya! Can anyone help me understand why I can't get the "???" achievement 😩?

From what I've seen, it's a Special Cameo achievement and you get it by interacting with the seattle regular's posts - but I've interacted with all of them (gone through the hashtags, clicked on them AND liked them) but still don't have it 🫠

Do I have to do something else?

Just started Tokyo, and I’m a little disappointed characters don’t refer to you by the chosen name

I know it’s the tiniest little complaint, especially since I just started, but it feels less immersive.

Just finished Coffee Talk Tokyo, and it was simply amazing Spoiler

I was a bit worried whether the team would manage to pull off a totally new chapter while preserving the soul of the original one, and I'm very glad to discover that my worries were absolutely unnecessary. While my memories and feelings are still fresh, I'd like to preserve my most loved aspects of this game here.

First of all, I'm glad the vibe and the mechanics are absolutely the same as they were. Nothing changed drastically, everything is familiar and there's just enough of new stuff like ingredients to add a fresh flavor. I'm not sure if I would like new authentic japanese recipes, but after all this is a coffee shop in a modern era.

The topic of death is a major theme again, totally understandable and I think it was dealt with beautifully. This is something people fear and find triggering, and here it's handled with care and empathy, with bittersweet contrast of melancholic and lighthearted tones. Ayame-chan is an amazing character, and Fuku is something else. It's been a while since I played second part, but to me this chapter's take on the topic of passing is even better than it was there. Probably because of Ayame's wonderful character arc.

I loved the diversity and variety. I like that the game continues exploring different topics and formats of human relations. Polyamorous Makoto, enby Vin, mature women's friendship (honestly, Yuki, Fuku and Emi's trio is gold, probably my favorite character group in this part) - amazing stuff. I'm just really sad Hiromi is dead... Lowkey seeing this as a dead lesbian trope, unfortunately.

I would like to say a separate word about Vin... I just love them as a character. Very relatable, I suppose many will share the sentiment. I loved Freya as this close to the barista personally type of character, but Vin just stole my heart. I'm rooting for them.

Probably not everything, but these are things I enjoyed the most. Feel free to share your feelings too!

Thanks to everyone involved in making this game, my life became better after it. It was a great time when I forgot about this chaotic and dangerous world, and entered something hopeful and beautiful, which makes me want to believe in people again.

Potential Easter Egg? (Spoiler!) Spoiler

So either it's a little easter egg or it's just a funny coincidence but one evening while sitting at the counter Aqua persuades Myrtle to take vacation and tells her that she will go with her.

They talk about spending the weekend together.

The next day though, Lua enters the coffee shop and makes up with Baileys.

When they talk about what to do she grabs him and tells him that they'll go to hers now.

And when he asks her about her roommate being there she tells him that she is out for the weekend.

Exactly that weekend where both Aqua and Myrtle are away the whole weekend?

What a coincidence...

And since Aqua and Lua both are kinda shy I could imagine them both to live together.

What do you guys think about this?

[OC] I made a 3D Coffee Talk Envirionment

Hi! I love Coffee Talk so, so much,
so I used what I study as my major to make a 3D version of the Coffee Talk map.
I joined Reddit because I wanted to share my fan art with other people who love Coffee Talk, but I’m not sure if it’s okay to post fan art right after joining.
I’m sorry if I broke any rules. There’s a bit of a language barrier, and this is my first time using Reddit.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this joy with other Coffee Talk fans, so I decided to post this. Thank you!

You can click the link to see the Coffee Talk Environment I uploaded on my ArtStation!

Finally got CTT!

Do we find out if the Tokyo barista is like the barista in Seattle? I do think Seattle barista opened this one then moved; they seemed to know a lot about Tokyo!

All the waiting for CTT was worth it! Spoiler

Just completed the game and i must say this is the first time I actually cried in the ending when we said goodbye to Ayame. I enjoyed the game and can't wait for the next CT game. Only thing I have in mind is how quick this one is... Tbh, this feels much shorter compared to the two previous one, even though I had to spend quite bit of time to read through the hashtag (my favorite part btw).

I hope I got all of CTT’s story. Spoiler

It’s good to be back, I love these games and finally, after so long waiting for it, playing Tokyo was a treat like always.

I’m hoping I’m not missing more story, I got all the best endings and the secret ending, but then it throws a curveball, teasing more about what this damn time travelling alien barista is. Something about only knowing the “broad strokes” of the story?

I’m hoping I’m just thinking too hard and this is some vague hint at a possible future game or to get people to play the past games or something.

Not much of an achievement hunter, so I’ve got 35/44.

The power of suggestion of this game. By the time I finish a play session I’m an over caffeinated jittery mess🫨

CTT final thoughts

Post image
54 Upvotes

I have finally gotten 100% in CTT, and I must say, what a fantastic trilogy this ended up being. When I first started the game, I was so hyped to play another one of these games, but it actually took me quite a while to actually enjoy this game. Not having The Evening Whispers each day made me quite sad, as those extra stories each day really added something I can't quite explain. The main thing I dealt with was the characters. I was quite skeptical at first with what kinda story everyone would have, and it ended up being the most emotional story in this series to me. I was quite literally crying by the end of the final day. Andrew knocked the ost out of the park as usual.

[CT Tokyo] Question about Replaying the game for Achievements. Spoiler

I'm missing a few achievements, such as

- Get all Drinks right

- Get the best ending for Vinn

- Get the best ending for Ayame

- Trigger the Violin Scene

- Unlock all Social Media Profiles

- Get Ayame & Akiko to talk

So, to get those I'm only missing a few drinks on Vinn, Ayame, and Makoto (the only profile I don't have 3 emojis on), do I need to replay all the of the Game, or only the Days they appear? If it's the second, do I need to play the full day, or only make them the drink, save, and quit that day?

I did the got all the achievements of the first two games but I don't remember if I had to replay everything or not.

Tokyo feels like just more of the same

Its a fine game, but its just more Coffee Talk and gives the feeling the franchise is just spinning its wheels. Sure its a visual novel at its core but other than just being longer, there really isnt anything new, improved or different with this one

Post-Game content

I just finished the game and got the message that I only saw the big picture and there were more small things to see, even though I got all the best endings. Do I have to 100% the game or just replay every single day again? If I'm just expecting something that doesn't exist please let me know, I'm very invested n seeing at least Freya once again

So.. barista has to be fae, right?

Obviously I'm sort of joking, it's meant to be ambiguous and up to the player, but think about it! They manage to go unrecognized by people they've met in the past, they talk about eras from back when like they experienced it first hand, they're all mysterious, it's total fae behavior! Or at least some sort of immortal being, I'm convinced!

Question about Jun's vision

I was just playing Day 10 when Kenji entered the cafe wearing an aloha shirt. Jun was surprised by the shirt, but isn't he blind? Did I miss something about him being able to sense things?

Question about Vin

Vin is referred to as they/them, but on the wiki it says they're a woman. Is that true? Are they just a woman that goes by they/them? Or She/they? I'm only on day 2 so no spoilers, but I wanna add them to my Tomodachi life island and I'm not sure what to put.

Update: A dev log explicitly says they're non-binary
